< Yesaia 53 >
1 Hena na wagye yɛn asɛm no adi? na Awurade abasa no, hena so na ada adi?
Who would have believed our report? and the arm of the Lord—over whom hath it been revealed?
2 Onyin wɔ nʼanim te sɛ dua amono ketewa bi, te sɛ ntin a efi asase wosee mu. Onni ahoɔfɛ anaa anuonyam a ɛbɛtwetwe yɛn akɔ ne nkyɛn. Ne tebea mu nni biribiara a ɛbɛma yɛapɛ no.
Yea, he grew up like a small shoot before him, and as a root out of a dry land: he had no form nor comeliness, so that we should look at him; and no countenance, so that we should desire him.
3 Nnipa bɔɔ no ahohora na wɔpoo no, Ɔwerɛhowni a onim ɔyaw. Te sɛ obi a nnipa de wɔn anim hintaw no wobuu no animtiaa na yɛammu no.
He was despised and shunned by men; a man of pains, and acquainted with disease; and as one who hid his face from us was he despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Ampa ara ɔfaa yɛn mmerɛwyɛ, na ɔsoaa yɛn awerɛhow, nanso yebuu no sɛ Onyankopɔn na watwe nʼaso. Yebuu no sɛ, Onyankopɔn na wabɔ no na wadwerɛw no.
But only our diseases did he bear himself, and our pains he carried: while we indeed esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 Nanso yɛn mmarato nti na wopiraa no, yɛn amumɔyɛ nti na wɔdwerɛw no; asotwe a ɛde asomdwoe brɛɛ yɛn no daa no so, na nʼapirakuru mu na yenya ayaresa.
Yet he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and through his bruises was healing granted to us.
6 Yɛn nyinaa ayerayera te sɛ nguan, yɛn mu biara afa ne kwan; na Awurade de yɛn nyinaa amumɔyɛ ato no so.
We all like sheep went astray; every one to his own way did we turn; and the Lord let befall him the guilt of us all.
7 Wɔhyɛɛ no so, yɛɛ no ayayade, nanso wammue nʼano; wɔde no kɔɔ te sɛ oguamma a wɔrekokum no. Sɛnea oguamma yɛ komm wɔ ne nwitwitwafo anim no, saa ara na wammue nʼano.
He was oppressed, and he was also taunted, yet he opened not his mouth; like the lamb which is led to the slaughter, and like an ewe before her shearers is dumb; and he opened not his mouth.
8 Wɔnam nhyɛso ne atemmu so faa no kɔe. Na hena na obetumi aka nʼasefo ho asɛm? Efisɛ woyii no fii asase yi so; me nkurɔfo mmarato nti wɔtwee nʼaso.
Through oppression and through judicial punishment was he taken away; but his generation—who could tell, that he was cut away out of the land of life, [that] for the transgressions of my people the plague was laid on him?
9 Wɔyɛɛ ne da wɔ abɔnefo mu, na ne wu mu wɔde no too adefo mu ɛwɔ mu, wanyɛ akakabensɛm biara, na obiara ante atosɛm biara amfi nʼano.
And he let his grave be made with the wicked, and with the [godless] rich at his death; although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 Nanso ɛyɛɛ Awurade pɛ sɛ ɔbɛdwerɛw no ama no ahu amane mpo ɔde ne nkwa yɛ afɔdi afɔrebɔde, obehu nʼasefo na ne nna bɛware, na Awurade pɛ bɛkɔ so wɔ ne nsam.
But the Lord was pleased to crush him through disease: when [now] his soul hath brought the trespass-offering, then shall he see [his] seed, live many days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 Ne kra amanehunu akyi, obehu nkwa hann, na ne koma atɔ ne yam; na ne suahu mu me somfo treneeni no bebu bebree bem, na wasoa wɔn amumɔyɛ.
[Freed] from the trouble of his soul shall he see [the good] and be satisfied: through his knowledge shall my righteous servant bring the many to righteousness, while he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the many, and with the strong shall he divide the spoil; because he poured out his soul unto death, and with transgressors was he numbered: while he bore the sin of many, and for the transgressors he let [evil] befall him.
