< Yesaia 47 >
1 “Sian kɔ, tena mfutuma mu, Ɔbabea Babilonia; tena fam na mfa ahengua, Babiloniafo hemmea kuropɔn. Wɔremfrɛ wo bio se, nsiforo anaa nea ne ho yɛ na.
Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2 Fa awiyammo na yam esiam; yi wo nkataanim no. Ma wʼatade so kɔ soro, na wo nan ho ngu hɔ, na fa nsuwansuwa no mu.
Take the millstones, and grind meal; remove thy veil, strip off the train, uncover the leg, pass through the rivers.
3 Wʼadagyaw bɛda adi na wʼanimguase so renkata. Mɛtɔ were; meremfa obiara ho nkyɛ no.”
Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance, and will let no man intercede.
4 Yɛn Gyefo, Asafo Awurade ne ne din, ɔno ne Israel Kronkronni.
Our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.
5 “Tena ase dinn, kɔhyɛ sum mu, Babiloniafo hemmea kurow; wɔremfrɛ wo bio se ahenni ahorow so hemmea.
Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called the mistress of kingdoms.
6 Me bo fuw me nkurɔfo, na miguu mʼagyapade ho fi; mede wɔn hyɛɛ wo nsa, na woanhu wɔn mmɔbɔ. Nkwakoraa koraa mpo, wosoaa wɔn konnua duruduru.
I was wroth with My people, I profaned Mine inheritance, and gave them into thy hand; thou didst show them no mercy; upon the aged hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7 Wokae se, ‘Mɛkɔ so daa, ayɛ ɔhemmea afebɔɔ.’ Nanso woannwen saa nneɛma yi ho na woansusuw nea ebetumi asi ho.
And thou saidst: 'For ever shall I be mistress'; so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the end thereof.
8 “Afei tie, wo oguamanfo, woredwudwo wo ho wɔ wo bammɔ mu na woka kyerɛ wo ho se, ‘me ne no, na obiara nni hɔ sɛ me. Merenyɛ okunafo da na merenni awommawu.’
Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart: 'I am, and there is none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children';
9 Saa nneɛma abien yi bɛto wo prɛko pɛ, da koro pɛ: awommawu ne kunayɛ. Saa nneɛma yi bɛba wo so pa ara, wʼabayisɛm bebrebe yi ne ntafowayi a mu yɛ den nyinaa akyi.
But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come upon thee, for the multitude of thy sorceries, and the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10 Wode wo ho ato wʼamumɔyɛ so na waka se, ‘Obiara nhu me.’ Wo nyansa ne nimdeɛ ma wo fom kwan bere a woka kyerɛ wo ho se, ‘Me ne no, obiara nni hɔ ka me ho.’
And thou hast been secure in thy wickedness, thou hast said: 'None seeth me'; thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thy heart. 'I am, and there is none else beside me.'
11 Amanehunu bɛto wo, na worenhu ɔkwan ko a wobɛfa so ayi afi hɔ. Ɔhaw bi bɛba wo so a worentumi mfa mpata nyi mfi hɔ; atoyerɛnkyɛm a ɛnnaa ne ho adi nkyerɛɛ wo bɛba wo so mpofirim.
Yet shall evil came upon thee; thou shalt not know how to charm it away; and calamity shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it away; and ruin shall come upon thee suddenly, before thou knowest.
12 “Kɔ so yɛ wo ntafowayi ne wʼabayisɛm bebrebe a wode adi dwuma fi wo mmofraase no. Ebia wubedi nkonim, ebia wode ehu bɛba.
Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13 Woabrɛ wɔ afotufo bebrebe a woanya no mu! Ma wo nsoromma ho anyansafo mmra anim, wɔn a wɔhwɛ nsoromma mu no, ka nea ɛreba ɔsram biara mu no, ma wonnye wo mfi nea ɛreba wo so no mu.
Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels; let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from the things that shall come upon thee.
14 Nokwarem, wɔte sɛ gyentia; ogya bɛhyew wɔn. Na wontumi nnye wɔn ankasa ho mfi ogyaframa anoden no ho. Nnyansramma biara nni ha a ɛbɛka obiara hyew; ogya biara nni ha a wɔbɛtena ho ato.
Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; it shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before.
15 Nea wobetumi ayɛ ama wo ara ne no, eyinom na wo ne wɔn abrɛ na wo ne wɔn anantew fi mmofraase. Wɔn mu biara kɔ so yɛ ne mfomso; ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ a obetumi agye wo.
Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured; they that have trafficked with thee from thy youth shall wander every one to his quarter; there shall be none to save thee.
