< Yesaia 30 >
1 “Munnue mmofra asoɔdenfo,” sɛɛ na Awurade se, “Wɔn a wɔde nhyehyɛe a emfi me yɛ adwuma, na wɔyɛ apam a emfi me honhom mu, na wɔboaboa bɔne ano;
Woe to the rebellious sons, says Jehovah, who take counsel, but not of me, and who make a league, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin,
2 wɔn a wɔkɔ Misraim a wommisa me ansa; wɔhwehwɛ mmoa a ɛyɛ bammɔ fi Farao nkyɛn, wɔkɔ Misraim kɔhwehwɛ hintabea.
who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Nanso Farao bammɔ bɛyɛ animguase ama mo, Misraim nwini de ahohora bɛbrɛ mo.
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
4 Ɛwɔ mu, wɔwɔ adwumayɛfo wɔ Soan na wɔn ananmusifo adu Hanes de,
For their rulers are at Zoan, and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.
5 nanso wɔn nyinaa anim begu ase nnipa bi a wɔn so nni wɔn mfaso nti, wɔmmfa mmoa anaa mfaso mma, na mmom animguase ne ahohora.”
They shall all be ashamed because of a people who cannot profit them, who are not a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
6 Adehunu a ɛfa Negeb mmoa ho: wɔfa ahokyere ne ahohiahia asase so, nea gyata ne gyatabere, nhurutoa ne awɔ a wɔn ho yɛ hare wɔ, ananmusifo no de wɔn ahonyade soa mfurum ne wɔn ademude wɔ yoma afu so, de kɔ saa ɔman a ne so nni mfaso no so,
The burden of the beasts of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, from where come the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures upon the humps of camels, to a people who shall not profit them.
7 de kɔ Misraim a ne mmoa so nni mfaso, enti mefrɛ no Rahab nea Onsi Hwee.
For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose. Therefore I have called her Rahab who sits still.
8 Kɔ afei, kyerɛw wɔ kyerɛwpon so ma wɔn, kurukyerɛw wɔ nhoma mmobɔwee so sɛnea nna a ɛreba no mu no ɛbɛyɛ adansede a ɛbɛtena hɔ afebɔɔ.
Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.
9 Saa nnipa yi yɛ atuatewfo, mma asisifo, mma a wɔmpɛ sɛ wotie Awurade nkyerɛkyerɛ.
For it is a rebellious people, lying sons, sons who will not hear the law of Jehovah,
10 Wɔka kyerɛ adehufo se, “Munhu mo ani so ade bio!” ne adiyifo no nso se, “Monnka anisoadehu a ɛyɛ nokware no nkyerɛ yɛn bio! Monka abodwosɛm nkyerɛ yɛn, monhyɛ nnaadaa nkɔm.
who say to the seers, Do not see, and to the prophets, Do not prophesy to us right things. Speak to us smooth things. Prophesy deceits.
11 Mumfi saa ɔtempɔn yi so, momman mfi saa ɔkwan yi ho na munnyae Israel Kronkronni a mode no haw yɛn yi!”
Get you out of the way. Turn aside out of the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Enti sɛɛ na Israel Ɔkronkronni no se: “Esiane sɛ moapo saa nkra yi, na mode mo ho ato nhyɛso ne nnaadaa so nti,
Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it,
13 saa bɔne yi bɛyɛ sɛ ɔfasu tenten bi a ahyɛ kam na akyea na ebu mpofirim, ama mo.
therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.
14 Ebebubu nketenkete ayɛ sɛ kuku. Ɛbɛyam pasaa a, sin koraa renka a wobetumi de asɔ gya afi muka mu anaa wɔde bɛsaw nsu afi ahina mu.”
And he shall break it as a potter's vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there shall not be found among the pieces of it a shard with which to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.
For thus said the lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, Ye shall be saved in returning and rest. Your strength shall be in quietness and in confidence. And ye would not,
16 Mokaa se, ‘Dabi da, yɛbɛtena apɔnkɔ so aguan.’ Enti mubeguan! Mokaa se, ‘yɛbɛtena apɔnkɔ a wɔn ho yɛ hare so akɔ.’ Enti wɔn a wɔtaa mo no ho bɛyɛ hare!
but ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses. Therefore ye shall flee. And ye said, We will ride upon the swift. Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.
17 Apem beguan ɔbaako ho hu nti; baanum ho hu nti mo nyinaa beguan akɔ, akosi sɛ wobegyaw mo te sɛ frankaa dua a esi bepɔw atifi, te sɛ frankaa a esi koko so.”
One thousand shall flee at the threat of one. Ye shall flee at the threat of five, till ye are left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill.
18 Nanso Awurade pɛ sɛ ɔdom mo; ɔma ne ho so, kyerɛ wo nʼahummɔbɔ. Efisɛ Awurade yɛ ɔtreneeni Nyankopɔn. Nhyira ne wɔn a wɔtwɛn no nyinaa!
And therefore Jehovah will wait, that he may be gracious to you. And therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you, for Jehovah is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
19 Sionfo a mote Yerusalem, morentwa adwo bio. Sɛ musu frɛ no hwehwɛ mmoa a, ɔbɛdom mo! Sɛ ɔte a obegye mo so prɛko pɛ.
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. Thou shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to thee at the voice of thy cry. When he shall hear, he will answer thee.
And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet thy teachers shall not be hidden anymore, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers.
21 Sɛ mofa nifa anaa benkum a, mobɛte nne bi wɔ mo akyi a ɛka se, “Ɔkwan no ni na momfa so.”
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
22 Afei mobɛtow mo ahoni a mode dwetɛ adura ho ne nsɛsode a mode sikakɔkɔɔ afa ho no nyinaa agu. Mobɛtow wɔn agu sɛ ntamagow fi, na moaka kyerɛ wɔn se, “Mumfi yɛn so nkɔ.”
And ye shall defile the overlaying of thy graven images of silver, and the plating of thy molten images of gold. Thou shall cast them away as an unclean thing. Thou shall say to it, Get thee away.
23 Afei ɔde osu behyira mo bere a mudua nnuaba, na aduan a asase no bɛbɔ no bɛyɛ papa na ɛbɛdɔɔso nso. Da no, mo anantwi bedidi wɔ adidibea a ɛtrɛw so.
And he will give the rain for thy seed, with which thou shall sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the ground, and it shall be fat and plenteous. In that day thy cattle shall feed in large pastures.
24 Mo anantwi ne mo mfurum a wofuntum asase no bɛwe atoko pa ne ne ntɛtɛ a, wɔde sofi ne nkorata trɛtrɛw mu.
Likewise the oxen and the young donkeys that till the ground shall eat savory provender, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.
25 Saa okum kɛse da no a abantenten ahwehwe ase no, nsuwa bɛteɛ wɔ bepɔw tenten ne koko a ɛkorɔn biara so.
And there shall be upon every lofty mountain, and upon every high hill, brooks and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
26 Ɔsram bɛhyerɛn sɛ owia, na owia hyerɛn no bɛyɛ mpɛn ason, te sɛ nnafua ason mu hyerɛn, bere a Awurade kyekyere ne nkurɔfo akuru na ɔsa apirakuru a ɔde ama wɔn no.
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that Jehovah binds up the hurt of his people, and heals the stroke of their wound.
27 Hwɛ! Awurade fi akyirikyiri reba, ɔde abufuwhyew ne wusiw kumɔnn; abufuw ahyɛ nʼanom ma, na ne tɛkrɛma yɛ ogya a ɛhyew nneɛma.
Behold, the name of Jehovah comes from far, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire,
28 Ne home te sɛ asuworoe a ɛsen ntɛmntɛm, na ɛforo kɔdeda kɔn mu. Ɔwosow aman no wɔ ɔsɛe sɔnee so; ɔde nnareka a ɛma wɔfom kwan hyehyɛ nnipa no nnyepi.
and his breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. And a bridle that causes to err shall be in the jaws of the peoples.
29 Na mobɛto dwom te sɛ anadwo a mudi afahyɛ kronkron no; mo koma bedi ahurusi te sɛ bere a nnipa de atɛntɛbɛn foro kɔ Awurade bepɔw no so, kɔ Israel Ɔbotan no nkyɛn.
Ye shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as he who goes with a pipe to come to the mountain of Jehovah, to the Rock of Israel.
And Jehovah will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the coming down of his arm with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast and tempest and hailstones.
31 Awurade nne bɛhwe Asiria; ɔde nʼabaa bɛbɔ wɔn ahwe fam.
For through the voice of Jehovah the Assyrian shall be dismayed. With his rod he will smite him.
32 Ɔbɛbɔ wɔn wɔ ɔko mu, na bere biara a ɔbɛbɔ wɔn no ɛbɛyɛ sɛ akasae ne sankuten so nnwonto koro.
And every stroke of the appointed staff, which Jehovah shall lay upon him, shall be with the sound of tambourine and harps. And he will fight with them in battles with the brandishing of his arm.
33 Wɔasiesie Topet dedaada; wɔayɛ no krado ama ɔhene no. Wɔahyehyɛ ogya ne nnyentia bebree wɔ ne gya amoa no a emu dɔ na ɛtrɛw no mu; Awurade home te sɛ sufre asuten no bɛsɔ mu gya.
For a Topheth is prepared of old, yea, it is made ready for the king. He has made it deep and large. The pile of it is fire and much wood. The breath of Jehovah kindles it, like a stream of brimstone.
