< Yesaia 26 >

1 Saa da no, wɔbɛto saa dwom yi wɔ Yuda asase so: Yɛwɔ kuropɔn dennen; Onyankopɔn de nkwagye ayɛ nʼafasu ne ne hankare a ɛkorɔn.
In that day, shall be sung this song, in the land of Judah, —A strong city, have we! Salvation, will he set for walls and rampart,
2 Mummuebue apon no na atreneefo man no nhyɛn mu, ɔman nokwafo no.
Open ye the gates, —That there may enter in—a righteous nation preserving fidelity.
3 Wobɛkora no so asomdwoe mu nea wasi nʼadwene pi, efisɛ ɔde ne ho to wo so.
A purpose sustained, thou wilt guard, [saying], Prosper! Prosper! Because in thee, hath he been led to trust.
4 Fa wo ho to Awurade so afebɔɔ, efisɛ, Awurade, Awurade yɛ daa Botan.
Trust ye in Yahweh, unto futurity, —For, in Yah, Yahweh, is a rock of ages.
5 Ɔbrɛ wɔn a wɔtete soro ase, na ɔbrɛ kuropɔn a ɛkorɔn no ase; obubu gu fam pasaa ma ɛda mfutuma mu.
For he hath brought down the inhabitants of the height the city exalted, —He layeth it low, Layeth it low even to the ground, Levelleth it, even to the dust:
6 Anammɔn tiatia so, wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so anammɔn ahiafo anammɔntu.
The foot trampleth it, —The feet of the lowly, The steps of the weak,
7 Ɔtreneeni kwan so yɛ tamaa; wo, Ɔnokwafo, woma ɔtreneeni kwan so yɛ trontrom.
The path of a righteous man, is, even, —O Upright One! the track of a righteous man, thou makest level.
8 Yiw, Awurade, yɛnam wo mmara kwan so yi, yɛretwɛn wo; na wo din ne ne kɛseyɛ yɛ nea yɛn koma pɛ.
Surely in the path of thy regulations, O Yahweh, we waited for thee, —Unto thy Name and unto thy Memorial, was there a longing of soul:
9 Me kra pere hwehwɛ wo anadwo; anɔpa nso me honhom ani gyina wo. Sɛ wʼatemmu ba asase yi so a, nnipa a wɔwɔ wiase sua treneeyɛ.
With my soul, longed I for thee in the night, Yea with my spirit within me, I kept on searching for thee, —For, when thy regulations [extend] to the earth, The inhabitants of the world will have learned, righteousness.
10 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ wuyi adom adi kyerɛ amumɔyɛfo de, nanso wonsua treneeyɛ; na mpo atreneefo asase so no, wɔkɔ so yɛ bɔne na wommu Awurade kɛseyɛ.
Let favour be shewed to the lawless, he hath not learned righteousness, In a land of honest dealings, he acteth perversely, —And seeth not the splendour of Yahweh.
11 Ao Awurade, wɔama wo nsa so kɔ soro, nanso wonhu. Ma wonhu wo mmɔdemmɔ wɔ wo nkurɔfo ho na ɛnhyɛ wɔn aniwu; ma ogya a wɔasɔ ama wʼatamfo no nhyew wɔn.
O Yahweh though thy hand be lifted up, —yet do they not see, Would they might see—and turn pale at a people’s zeal, —Surely, the fire of thine enemies, must consume them!
12 Awurade, woama yɛn asomdwoe; nea yɛatumi ayɛ nyinaa wo na woayɛ ama yɛn.
O Yahweh, thou wilt ensure prosperity for us, —For even all our works, hast thou wrought for us,
13 Awurade yɛn Nyankopɔn, awuranom afoforo bi adi yɛn so, nanso wo din nko ara na yɛ kamfo.
O Yahweh, our God! Lords other than thee, have owned us, —By thyself alone, will we call upon thy Name.
14 Afei wɔawuwu, na wɔnte ase bio; ahonhom a wɔafi mu no wɔrensɔre. Wotwee wɔn aso na wosɛee wɔn wɔama yɛn werɛ afi wɔn.
The dead, come not to life again, The shades, do not arise, —Therefore, thou hast visited and destroyed them, And caused to perish every memorial of them.
15 Woama ɔman no ayɛ kɛse, Awurade; woama ɔman no ayɛ kɛse; woahyɛ wo ho anuonyam; woatrɛtrɛw asase no ahye nyinaa mu.
Thou hast increased the nation, O Yahweh, Thou hast increased the nation thou hast gotten thyself glory, Thou hast extended far, all the ends of the land.
16 Awurade, wofi ahohia mu baa wo nkyɛn; bere a wotwee wɔn aso no, na wontumi mmue wɔn ano mpo mmɔ mpae.
O Yahweh! in distress, they sought thee, —They poured out a whispered prayer, when thy chastening was upon them.
17 Sɛnea ɔpemfo a awo aka no fi ɔyaw mu bukabukaw ne mu na osu no, saa ara na yɛyɛe wɔ wʼanim, Awurade.
Like as a woman with child—Draweth near to giving birth, Is in pain, Crieth out in her pangs So, were we before thee, O Yahweh; —
18 Yenyinsɛnee, yɛkyemee wɔ ɔyaw mu nanso yɛwoo mframa. Yɛamfa nkwagye amma asase so; wɔanwo nnipa amma asase so.
We were with child—We were in pain, As it were we brought forth wind, —Salvation, we could not accomplish for the earth, Neither were born the inhabitants of the world.
19 Nanso wʼawufo benya nkwa; wɔn nipadua bɛsɔre. Ma wɔn a wɔtete mfutuma mu no, nsɔre mfa anigye nteɛ mu. Mo bosu te sɛ anɔpa bosu; asase beyi nʼafunu apue.
Thy dead, shall come to life again, My dead body, they shall arise, —Awake and shout for joy, ye that dwell in the dust For, a dew of light, is thy dew, And, earth, to the shades shall give birth.
20 Monkɔ, me nkurɔfo, monhyɛnhyɛn mo adan mu na montoto apon no mu; momfa mo ho nsie bere tiaa bi kosi sɛ nʼabufuwhyew ano bedwo.
Come my people, enter into thy chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, —Hide thee as it were a little moment Till the indignation pass over.
21 Hwɛ, Awurade refi nʼatenae abɛtwe nnipa a wɔte asase so aso wɔ wɔn bɔne ho. Asase bɛda mogya a wɔahwie agu no so no adi; ɔrentumi mfa nʼatɔfo nsie bio.
For lo! Yahweh, is coming forth out of his place, To visit the iniquity of earth’s inhabitant upon him, —Therefore shall the earth unveil her shed-blood, And throw a covering, no longer over her slain.
