< Yesaia 21 >
1 Nkɔmhyɛ a ɛfa Nweatam a ɛda Po ho no ho: Te sɛ mfɛtɛ a ɛbɔ fa anafo fam asase so no, ɔtamfo bi fi nweatam so reba, ofi asase a ɛyɛ ahuabɔbrim so.
The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; [so] it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
2 Wɔde adaeso a ɛyɛ nwonwa akyerɛ me: Ɔfatwafo di huammɔ, ɔfomfo fa asade. Elam tow hyɛ so! Media bɔ pampim! Mede apinisi a ɔde bae no nyinaa bɛba awiei.
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
3 Eyi ama ɔyaw bi abɛhyɛ me mu, ɔyaw aka me, te sɛ ɔbea a awo aka no; nea metee no nti mintumi nnyina me nan so, nea mihu no ama me ho adwiriw me.
Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing [of it; ] I was dismayed at the seeing [of it].
4 Me koma bɔ kitirikitiri, ehu ma me ho popo; na hann a mepɛɛ sɛ mihu no abɛyɛ aninyanne ama me.
My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
5 Wɔto pon, wɔde kuntu akɛtɛ sesɛw fam, wodidi, na wɔnom! Monsɔre, mo asraafo mpanyimfo, momfa ngo nsrasra mo akatabo ho!
Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, [and] anoint the shield.
6 Sɛɛ na Awurade ka kyerɛ me: “Fa ɔwɛmfo kogyina hɔ na ɔnka nea ohu nkyerɛ wo.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
7 Sɛ ohu nteaseɛnam ne apɔnkɔ akuwakuw, wɔn a wɔtete mfurum so ne wɔn a wɔtete yoma so a, ɔnwɛn nʼaso, nwɛn no pa ara.”
And he saw a chariot [with] a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, [and] a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
8 Na ɔwɛmfo no teɛɛ mu se, “Me wura, da biara migyina ɔwɛn aban no so Anadwo biara, migyina hɔ.
And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
9 Hwɛ, ɔbarima bi a ɔte teaseɛnam mu na ɔreba yi ɔne apɔnkɔ dɔm. Na ɔwɛmfo no kae se, ‘Babilon ahwe ase, wahwe ase! Nʼanyame ne nʼahoni nyinaa abubu agu fam!’”
And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, [with] a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
10 Ao, me nkurɔfo a, wɔadwerɛw mo wɔ awiporowbea ase meka nea mate kyerɛ mo nea efi Asafo Awurade, nea efi Israel Nyankopɔn hɔ.
O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 Adehu a ɛfa Duma ho: Obi frɛ me fi Seir, “Ɔwɛmfo, bere bɛn na ade bɛkyɛ? Ɔwɛmfo, aka nnɔnhwerew ahe ansa na ade akye?”
The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 Ɔwɛmfo no bua se, “Ade rekye, nanso ade bɛsa. Sɛ wubebisa bio a san bra bebisa.”
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
13 Adehu a ɛfa Arabia ho: Mo Dedan akwantufo a mosoɛ wɔ Arabia adɔtɔ ase,
The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
14 Momfa nsu mmrɛ wɔn a osukɔm de wɔn; mo a motete Tema, mommrɛ aguanfo no aduan.
The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
15 Woguan fi afoa a watwe tadua a wɔakuntun mu ne ɔko a egyina mu ano.
For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 Sɛɛ na Awurade ka kyerɛ me, “Afe baako mu, sɛnea ɔsomfo a wayɛ nhyehyɛe bebubu nna no, Kedar kɛseyɛ to betwa.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
17 Na agyantowfo a wɔbɛka ne Kedar akofo bɛyɛ kakraa bi.” Nea Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, aka ni.
And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken [it].
