< Yesaia 10 >

1 Wonnue, wɔn a wɔhyɛ mmara a ɛmfa ne kwan mu, wɔn a wɔhyɛ mmara dennen a ɛde nhyɛso ba,
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees
2 de siw ahiafo ahofadi ho kwan, de atɛntrenee bɔ me nkurɔfo a wɔhyɛ wɔn so no atirimɔden. Wɔma akunafo yɛ amanehunufo na wɔbɔ ayisaa korɔn.
to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
3 Dɛn na mobɛyɛ wɔ akontaabu da no, bere a amanehunu fi akyirikyiri reba? Hena nkyɛn na mubeguan akɔpɛ mmoa? Ɛhefa na mubegyaw mo ahode?
What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?
4 Ɛrenka mo hwee sɛ mobɛfra nneduafo mu anaasɛ mobɛtotɔ wɔ atɔfo mu. Nanso eyinom nyinaa akyi no ne bo nnwoo ɛ, na ne nsa da so wɔ soro.
They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5 “Nnome nka Asiriani no, mʼabufuw abaa, nea okura mʼabufuwhyew pema no!
Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
6 Mesoma no akɔ ɔman a wonnim Onyankopɔn so migya no kwan ma wakɔ nnipa a wɔhyɛ me abufuw so sɛ wonkogye akorɔnne abran so na wonhuam afowde, na wontiatia wɔn so sɛ dɔte wɔ mmɔnten so.
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Nanso ɛnyɛ eyi ne nea ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɛnyɛ eyi ne nea ɛwɔ nʼadwene mu; ne botae ne sɛ ɔbɛsɛe, sɛ ɔde aman bebree bɛba wɔn awiei.
However, he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.
8 Na obisa se, ‘Ahemfo nyinaa nyɛ mʼasahene ana?
For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?
9 Kalno nyɛɛ sɛ Karkemis ana? Hamat nte sɛ Arpad na Samaria nte sɛ Damasko ana?
Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”
10 Sɛnea migyee ahoni ahenni ahorow abran so, ahenni a wɔn nsɛsode sen nea ɛwɔ Yerusalem ne Samaria no.
As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,
11 Merentumi ne Yerusalem ne ne nsɛsode nni, sɛnea me ne Samaria ne nʼahoni dii no?’”
shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.
13 Efisɛ ɔka se, “‘Mede mʼahoɔden na ayɛ eyi, na mifi me nyansa mu, efisɛ mewɔ nimdeɛ. Mesɛee aman aman ahye, mefow wɔn ademude; mebrɛɛ wɔn ahemfo ase te sɛ ɔbran.
For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
14 Sɛnea obi teɛ ne nsa hyɛ berebuw mu no, saa ara nso na mɛteɛ me nsa wɔ amanaman no ahonyade so; sɛnea wɔtase nkesua a wɔagyaw hɔ no, saa ara na mɛboaboa amanaman no nyinaa ano; obiara ammɔ ne ntaban mu, na wammue nʼano ansu.’”
My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
15 Abonnua ma ne ho so tra nea ɔtow, anaasɛ ɔwan hoahoa ne ho kyɛn nea ɔde no yɛ adwuma ana? Ayɛ te sɛnea abaa tumi dannan nea ɔmaa no so, anaasɛ poribaa tumi hinhim nea ɔnyɛ dua!
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
16 Afei Awurade, Asafo Awurade, de ɔyaredɔm bɛbɔ nʼakofo ahoɔdenfo no; ne kɛseyɛ mu wobefita ogya mu ama adɛw te sɛ gyaframa.
Therefore the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.
17 Israel Hann no bɛdan ogya. Wɔn Kronkronni no bɛyɛ ogya a ɛdɛw; ɔde da koro bɛhyew na wasɛe ne nsɔe ne nnɛnkyɛnse.
The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
18 Ne kwae ne nʼasasebere anuonyam no, ɛbɛsɛe pasapasa te sɛ ɔyarefo a ɔrefɔn.
He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
19 Nnua a ɛbɛka wɔ ne kwae mu bɛyɛ kakraa bi a abofra betumi akyerɛ ne dodow.
The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
20 Da no, Israel nkae, Yakob fifo a wɔbɛka no, remfa wɔn ho nto no so bio nea ɔbɔɔ wɔn hwee fam no; na mmom wɔde wɔn ho bɛto Awurade so nokware mu, Israel Kronkronni no.
It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 Nkae bi bɛsan aba, Yakob nkae bi bɛsan aba Otumfo Onyankopɔn no nkyɛn.
A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
22 Israel, ɛwɔ mu sɛ wo nkurɔfo dɔɔso sɛ mpoano nwea de, nanso nkae bi pɛ na wɔbɛsan. Wɔahyɛ ɔsɛe ho mmara dennen a ebebunkam so na ɛteɛ.
For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
23 Awurade, Asafo Awurade de ɔsɛe a wɔahyɛ ho mmara ketee na ɛbɛba asase no so nyinaa.
For the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
24 Enti sɛɛ na Awurade, Asafo Awurade se, “Me nkurɔfo a mote Sion, munnsuro Asiriafo no, wɔn a wɔde mmaa hwe mo na wɔma kontibaa so tia mo, sɛnea Misraim yɛe no.
Therefore the Lord, GOD of Hosts, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
25 Ɛrenkyɛ koraa mʼabufuw a etia mo no ano bedwo na mʼanibere bɛkɔ wɔn sɛe so.”
For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”
26 Asafo Awurade de mpire bɛhwe wɔn, sɛnea ɔbɔɔ Midian hwee fam wɔ Oreb Ɔbotan ho no; na ɔbɛteɛ ne pema wɔ nsu no so, sɛnea ɔyɛɛ wɔ Misraim no.
The LORD of Hosts will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
27 Da no wobeyi wɔn adesoa no afi wɔn mmati so wɔn konnua afi wo kɔn mu; wobubu konnua no efisɛ woayɛ ɔbran yiye.
It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
28 Wɔhyɛn Ayat; wɔfa Migron; na wɔkora wɔn nneɛma wɔ Mikmas.
He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
29 Wɔfaa ɔtempɔn no so, na wɔka se, “Yɛbɛwɛn wɔ Geba anadwo yi.” Rama ho popo; Saulo kurow Gibea nso guan.
They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.
30 Teɛ mu, Galim Babea! Tie, Laisa! Anatot Mmɔborɔni!
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
31 Madmena reguan; Gebimfo kɔtetɛw.
Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32 Nnɛ ara wobegyina wɔ Nob; wobehim wɔn nsa wɔ Ɔbabea Sion bepɔw no so, wɔ Yerusalem koko no so.
This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Hwɛ, Awurade, Asafo Awurade no, ɔde tumi kɛse betwitwa dua mman no. Wobebubu nnua atenten no agu fam nea ɛwowaree no bɛba fam.
Behold, the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
34 Ɔde abonnua betwitwa kwaedɔtɔ agu fam Lebanon bɛhwe ase wɔ Ɔkɛse no anim.
He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
