< Hosea 14 >
1 Israel, san wʼakyi kɔ Awurade wo Nyankopɔn nkyɛn. Wʼasehwe fi wo bɔne!
Return thou, O Israel, unto Yahweh thy God, —for thou hast stumbled by thine iniquity.
2 Fa wo nsɛm a wowɔ san kɔ Awurade nkyɛn. Ka kyerɛ no se, “Fa yɛn bɔne nyinaa kyɛ yɛn, na fa ahummɔbɔ gye yɛn, na yɛatumi ayi wo ayɛ.
Take with you words, and return to Yahweh: say unto him—Wholly, shalt thou take away iniquity, Accept, then, with favour, and we will make good the boldness of our lips!
3 Asiria rentumi nnye yɛn; yɛrentena akofo apɔnkɔ so. Yɛrenka bio da se, ‘Yɛn anyame’ nkyerɛ nea yɛn ara de yɛn nsa ayɛ, na wo mu na ayisaa nya mmɔborɔhunu.”
Assyria, shall not save us, Upon horses, will we not ride, neither will we say any more—Our god! to the work of our own hands! For, in thee, shall the fatherless, find compassion.
4 “Mɛsa wɔn asoɔden yare. Mefi me koma mu adɔ wɔn, efisɛ mʼabufuw nni wɔn so bio.
I will heal their apostacy, I will love them freely, —for mine anger, hath turned, from them.
5 Mɛyɛ sɛ obosu ama Israel. Ɔbɛfefɛw ayɛ frɔmfrɔm te sɛ sukooko. Te sɛ Lebanon sida no, ɔde ne ntin betim fam;
I will become as the dew unto Israel, he shall break forth as the lily, —and he shall strike his roots as Lebanon:
6 ne mman bɛdennan. Nʼahoɔfɛ bɛyɛ sɛ ngodua, na ne hua ayɛ sɛ Lebanon sida.
His branches, shall spread, that, like an olive-tree, may be his fresh beauty, —and his fragrance, like Lebanon.
7 Nnipa bɛtena ne nwini ase bio. Obenyin ayɛ frɔmfrɔm te sɛ aburow. Ɔbɛfefɛw ayɛ frɔmfrɔm te sɛ bobe, na ne din a ahyeta bɛyɛ sɛ nsa a efi Lebanon.
They who dwell in his shade shall again show life like the corn, and break forth as the vine, —and, the remembrance of him, shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 Efraim dɛn na me ne ahoni wɔ yɛ bio? Megye no so na mʼani aku ne ho. Mete sɛ dua a nʼahaban mpo; sɛ wobɛsow aba a, egyina me so.”
Ephraim [saith] —What to me any more are idols? I, have answered, and have closely observed him, I, am like a fir-tree that is green, From me, is thy fruit found.
9 Hena ne onyansafo? Obehu eyinom mu. Hena na ɔwɔ nhumu? Ɔbɛte eyinom ase. Awurade akwan teɛ. Atreneefo nantew so, nanso asoɔdenfo hintiw wɔ mu.
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? intelligent, that he may take knowledge of them? For, straightforward, are the ways of Yahweh, and, the righteous, shall travel therein, but, transgressors, shall stumble therein.
