< Hebrifo 7 >

1 Na saa Melkisedek yi yɛ Salemhene, na ɔsan yɛ Ɔsorosoro Nyankopɔn sɔfo. Bere a Abraham fi ɔko a okum ahemfo ano reba no, Melkisedek hyiaa no hyiraa no.
For this Melchi-sedec was King of Salem, the Priest of the most high God, who met Abraham, as he returned from the slaughter of the Kings, and blessed him:
2 Abraham maa no nʼasade no mu nkyɛmu du mu baako. Melkisedek din no nkyerɛase a edi kan no ne Trenee Hene. Esiane sɛ na ɔyɛ Salem hene no nti, wɔkyerɛɛ ne din no ase sɛ Asomdwoe hene.
To whom also Abraham gaue the tithe of all things: who first is by interpretation King of righteousnes: after that, he is also King of Salem, that is, King of peace,
Without father, without mother, without kinred, and hath neither beginning of his dayes, neither ende of life: but is likened vnto the Sonne of God, and continueth a Priest for euer.
4 Eyi di ho adanse sɛ na ɔyɛ onipa kɛse a Agya Abraham mpo tumi ma no nʼasade mu nkyɛmu du mu baako.
Nowe consider how great this man was, vnto whome euen the Patriarke Abraham gaue the tithe of the spoyles.
5 Nanso Lewi asefo a wɔyɛ asɔfo no Mmara na ɛhyɛ wɔn sɛ wonnye nkyɛmu du mu baako mfi wɔn ara wɔn nkurɔfo Israelfo a wɔn nso yɛ Abraham asefo no nkyɛn.
For verely they which are the childre of Leui, which receiue the office of the Priesthode, haue a commandement to take, according to the Law, tithes of the people (that is, of their bethren) though they came out of ye loynes of Abraham.
6 Melkisedek nyɛ Lewi aseni, nanso ogyee nkyɛmu du mu baako fii Abraham nkyɛn hyiraa no ma onyaa Onyankopɔn bɔhyɛ no.
But he whose kindred is not couted among them, receiued tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 Akyinnye biara nni ho sɛ nea ɔma nhyira so sen nea ogye nhyira.
And without all contradiction the lesse is blessed of the greater.
8 Wɔde nnipa akatua nkyɛmu du mu baako ma asɔfo a wowu, gye Melkisedek a Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se ɔte ase.
And here men that die, receiue tithes: but there he receiueth them, of whome it is witnessed, that he liueth.
9 Enti nokware, Abraham tuaa nkyɛmu du no, Lewi a nʼasefo gye nkyɛmu du no nso nam Abraham so tuaa bi maa Melkisedek.
And to say as the thing is, Leui also which receiueth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 Na wɔnwoo Lewi ɛ, nanso esiane sɛ na ɔhyɛ ne nena Abraham mu saa bere no a Melkisedek hyiaa no no nti na otuae.
For hee was yet in the loynes of his father Abraham, when Melchi-sedec met him.
11 Esiane Lewi asɔfodi nti na wɔde Mmara no maa Israelfo. Ɛno nti sɛ Lewifo asɔfodi no tumi de pɛyɛ brɛ nnipa a, anka ho nhia sɛ wɔbɛfa ɔsɔfo foforo bi sɛ Melkisedek a omfi Aaron abusua mu.
If therefore perfection had bene by the Priesthoode of the Leuites (for vnder it the Lawe was established to the people) what needed it furthermore, that another Priest should rise after the order of Melchi-sedec, and not to be called after the order of Aaron?
12 Sɛ ɛba sɛ asɔfodi no sesa a, ɛma ho mmara no nso sesa.
For if the Priesthood be changed, then of necessitie must there be a change of the Lawe.
13 Nanso yɛn Awurade a wɔka saa asɛm yi nyinaa fa ne ho no fi abusua foforo mu. Ne busuani biara nnii ɔsɔfo wɔ afɔremuka ho da.
For hee of whome these things are spoken, perteineth vnto another tribe, whereof no man serued at the altar.
14 Ɛyɛ sɛnnahɔ sɛ wɔwoo no too Yuda abusua mu, na Mose kaa asɔfo ho asɛm no nso, wammɔ nʼabusua din da.
For it is euident, that our Lord sprung out of Iuda, concerning the which tribe Moses spake nothing, touching the Priesthood.
15 Asɛm no da ne ho adi pefee, efisɛ ɔsɔfo foforo bi aba a ɔte sɛ Melkisedek.
And it is yet a more euident thing, because that after the similitude of Melchi-sedec, there is risen vp another Priest,
16 Ɔno de, ɛnnam onipa mmara so na wɔhyɛɛ no ɔsɔfo, na mmom wɔnam nkwa a enni awiei tumi so na ɛyɛɛ no ɔsɔfo.
Which is not made Priest after the Law of the carnal commandement, but after the power of the endlesse life.
17 Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Wobɛyɛ ɔsɔfo akosi daa sɛnea Melkisedek asɔfokwan nhyehyɛe te no.” (aiōn g165)
For hee testifieth thus, Thou art a Priest for euer, after the order of Melchi-sedec. (aiōn g165)
18 Wɔatow mmara dedaw no akyene, efisɛ sintɔ bi wɔ mmara no mu, na so nni mfaso nso,
For the commandement that went afore, is disanulled, because of the weakenes thereof, and vnprofitablenes.
19 efisɛ Mose Mmara no antumi amma biribiara anni mu, na wɔde anidaso pa bi a yɛnam so bɛn Onyankopɔn aba.
For the Law made nothing perfite, but the bringing in of a better hope made perfite, whereby we drawe neere vnto God.
20 Na wɔanyɛ a ntanka nka ho. Bere a ɔhyɛɛ Aaron asefo asɔfo no, na ntam a ɛte saa nni hɔ.
And for as much as it is not without an othe (for these are made Priestes without an othe:
21 Yesu de, ɔnam ntam so bɛyɛɛ ɔsɔfo bere a Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Awurade aka ntam; na ɔrensesa nʼadwene a ese, ‘Wobɛyɛ ɔsɔfo daa nyinaa no.’” (aiōn g165)
But this is made with an othe by him that said vnto him, The Lord hath sworne, and will not repent, Thou art a Priest for euer, after the order of Melchi-sedec) (aiōn g165)
22 Saa ntam yi nti, Yesu gyina mu ma yɛn, na ɛma yɛne Onyankopɔn apam no di mu.
By so much is Iesus made a suretie of a better Testament.
23 Nsonoe foforo bi nso wɔ hɔ. Na saa asɔfo no dɔɔso, efisɛ na wowuwu a wontumi ntoa wɔn adwuma so.
And among them many were made Priests, because they were not suffered to endure, by the reason of death.
24 Nanso esiane sɛ Yesu wɔ hɔ daa no nti, ɔwɔ asɔfodi a ɛtena hɔ daa. (aiōn g165)
But this man, because hee endureth euer, hath a Priesthood, which cannot passe from one to another. (aiōn g165)
25 Enti otumi gye wɔn a wɔnam ne so ba Onyankopɔn nkyɛn no nnɛ ne daa, efisɛ, ɔte hɔ daa srɛ Onyankopɔn ma wɔn.
Wherefore, hee is able also perfectly to saue them that come vnto God by him, seeing he euer liueth, to make intercession for them.
26 Yesu ne Ɔsɔfopanyin a ɔboa yɛn wɔ yɛn ahiasɛm mu. Ɔyɛ kronkron. Onni mfomso biara wɔ ne mu, na ɔnyɛ bɔne. Wɔatew no afi nnebɔneyɛfo ho na wɔama no so aboro ɔsoro so.
For such an hie Priest it became vs to haue, which is holy, harmelesse, vndefiled, separate from sinners, and made hier then the heauens:
27 Ɔnte sɛ asɔfo mpanyin a wɔaka no a, daa afɔre a wɔbɔ no kan no wɔbɔ wɔ wɔn bɔne a wayɛ ho ansa na afei, wabɔ afoforo de no. Ɔbɔɔ afɔre baako pɛ a ɔde ne ho na ɛbɔe.
Which needeth not daily as those hie Priests to offer vp sacrifice, first for his owne sinnes, and then for the peoples: for that did he once, when he offered vp himselfe.
28 Mose Mmara no yi nnipa a wɔmfata sɛ wɔyɛ asɔfo mpanyin, nanso Onyankopɔn bɔ a ɔde ntam kaa ho no a ɛbaa wɔ Mmara no akyi no yii Ɔba no a ɔyɛ pɛ daa nyinaa no. (aiōn g165)
For the Law maketh men hie Priestes, which haue infirmitie: but the word of the othe that was since the Lawe, maketh the Sonne, who is consecrated for euermore. (aiōn g165)
