< Hebrifo 3 >
1 Me nuanom akronkronfo a Onyankopɔn afrɛ mo, munnwen Yesu a yegye no to mu sɛ Ɔsomafo no ho.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Na odii Onyankopɔn a oyii no sɛ ɔnyɛ saa adwuma yi no nokware sɛnea Mose nso dii nokware wɔ Onyankopɔn fi no.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.
3 Wɔahu sɛ Yesu fata anuonyam sen Mose, sɛnea onipa a osi ofi nya anuonyam sen ofi no ankasa no.
For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 Ofi biara obi na osii. Na Onyankopɔn nso na wabɔ nneɛma nyinaa.
For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God.
5 Mose dii Onyankopɔn nokware sɛ ɔsomfo wɔ ne fi na ɔkaa nsɛm a Onyankopɔn bɛka daakye no nyinaa.
And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 Nanso Kristo de, odi nokware sɛ Ɔba a ɔhwɛ Onyankopɔn fi so. Sɛ yɛma yɛn bo yɛ duru na yɛwɔ gyidi wɔ yɛn anidaso mu a, na yɛyɛ ne fi no.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7 Enti Honhom Kronkron no ka se, “Sɛ nnɛ mote Onyankopɔn nne a,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 monnyɛ asoɔden te sɛ nea moyɛɛ bere a mosɔre tiaa Onyankopɔn no; sɛnea moyɛɛ da a na mowɔ sare so a mosɔɔ no hwɛe no.
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 Ɛhɔ na mo nenanom sɔɔ no hwɛe, nanso wohuu nea meyɛɛ no mfe aduanan mu no.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Ne saa nti me bo fuw saa nnipa no, na mekae se, ‘Wɔyɛ nnipa a wɔn koma aman afi me ho, na wɔanhu mʼakwan.’
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 Ɛno nti mekaa ntam wɔ mʼabufuw mu se, ‘Wɔrenhyɛn mʼahomegye mu da.’”
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Me nuanom, monhwɛ yiye na mo mu bi annya koma bɔne a ɔrennye Onyankopɔn nni a ɛbɛma watwe ne ho afi Onyankopɔn teasefo no ho.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 Na mmom sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a bɔne rennaadaa mo mu ebinom na wɔnyɛ asoɔden nti, da biara mommoaboa mo ho mo ho wɔ mmere dodow a asɛm “Nnɛ” a ɛwɔ Kyerɛwsɛm mu no fa yɛn ho no.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Na sɛ yeso gyidi a yɛwɔ no mu dennen sɛnea yɛde fi mfiase no a na yɛwɔ kyɛfa wɔ Kristo mu.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Sɛ nnɛ mote Onyankopɔn nne a, monnyɛ asoɔden te sɛ nea moyɛɛ bere a mosɔre tiaa Onyankopɔn no.”
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 Ɛhefo na wɔtee Onyankopɔn nne na wɔsɔre tiaa no no? Nnipa a Mose dii wɔn anim fi Misraim no nyinaa.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Ɛhefo na Onyankopɔn bo fuw wɔn mfirihyia aduanan no? Nnipa a wɔyɛɛ bɔne na wɔtetew hwe wuwuu wɔ sare so no.
But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 Bere a Onyankopɔn kaa ntam se, “Wɔremma me home mu da” no, na ɔreka akyerɛ ɛhefo? Na ɔreka akyerɛ wɔn a wɔyɛɛ asoɔden no.
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 Afei, yehu sɛ wɔantumi ankɔ ɔhome no mu, efisɛ wɔannye anni.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
