1 Yɛn de, yɛwɔ nnansefo bebree a wɔatwa yɛn ho ahyia. Momma yɛntwe yɛn ho mfi akwanside nyinaa ne bɔne a akyekyere yɛn denneennen no nyinaa ho na yɛnyere yɛn ho wɔ mmirikakansi a ɛda yɛn anim no mu.
Therefore, we also having so great a cloud of witnesses set around us, having put off every weight, and the closely besetting sin, may we run the contest that is set before us through endurance,
2 Momma yɛmfa yɛn ani nto Yesu a yɛn gyidi mfiase ne nʼawie gyina ne so no so. Asennua no nti wampa abaw. Esiane anigye a na ɛretwɛn no no nti, animguasewu a owui wɔ asennua so no anhaw no. Enti mprempren ɔte Onyankopɔn ahengua no nifa so.
looking to the Author and Perfecter of the faith—Jesus, who, for the joy set before Him, endured a cross, having despised shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God;
3 Dwene ɔhaw a ɔfaa mu no ho sɛ nnipa nnebɔneyɛfo tan a wɔtan no nso, otumi gyinaa ano no. Ɛno nti mommpa abaw.
for again consider Him who endured such contradiction from the sinners to Himself, that you may not be wearied in your souls—being faint.
4 Na mo ne bɔne ko mu no, monko nkoduu sɛ mubehwie mogya agu.
You did not yet resist to blood—striving with sin;
5 Mo werɛ afi nkuranhyɛsɛm a Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ mo, sɛnea agya kasa kyerɛ ne mma no? Se, “Me ba, sɛ Awurade teɛ wo a, tie no yiye, na sɛ ɔka wʼanim a, mpa abaw.
and you have forgotten the exhortation that speaks fully to you as to sons, “My son, do not despise [the] discipline of [the] LORD, nor be faint, being reproved by Him,
6 Efisɛ obiara a Awurade pɛ nʼasɛm no, ɔtwe nʼaso sɛnea agya teɛ ɔba a ɔdɔ no no.”
for whom the LORD loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives”;
7 Amanehunu biara a ɛbɛto mo no, munnhinhim na momfa no sɛ Agya no nteɛso, efisɛ mo amanehunu no kyerɛ nteɛso a Onyankopɔn wɔ ma ne mma. Na dɛn nti na agya ntwe ne mma aso?
if you endure discipline, God bears Himself to you as to sons, for who is a son whom a father does not discipline?
8 Sɛ wanteɛ mo sɛ ne mma no bi a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ monnyɛ ne mma kann.
And if you are apart from discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are bastards, and not sons.
9 Sɛ yɛn agyanom a wɔwɔ asase so twee yɛn aso ma yebuu wɔn a, mpɛn ahe na ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛbrɛ yɛn ho ase ma honhom mu Agya no na yetumi tena ase?
Then, indeed, we have had fathers of our flesh, correctors, and we respected [them]; will we not much rather be subject to the Father of the spirits, and live?
10 Yɛn agyanom a wɔwɔ asase so ha twee yɛn aso sɛnea wɔpɛ wɔ bere tiaa bi. Nanso yɛn yiyedi nti, Onyankopɔn yɛɛ saa sɛnea yɛn ho bɛtew.
For they, indeed, for a few days, according to what seemed good to them, were disciplining, but He for profit, to be partakers of His separation;
11 Sɛ wɔtwe yɛn aso a ɛma yɛn werɛ how wɔ saa bere no mu na yɛn ani nnye. Na akyiri no a wɔn a wɔfa saa asotwe no mu no nya wɔn ho ntease no, wonya asomdwoe na wɔtena ase trenee mu.
and all discipline for the present, indeed, does not seem to be of joy, but of sorrow, yet afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those exercised through it.
12 Monhyehyɛ nsa ne nkotodwe a emu agugow no mu den.
For this reason, lift up the hanging-down hands and the loosened knees;
13 Munsiesie akwan na momfa so, na mpakye anyɛ mmubuafo, na mmom, wɔasa wɔn yare.
and make straight paths for your feet, so that which is lame may not be turned aside, but rather be healed;
14 Mo ne nnipa nyinaa ntena ase asomdwoe mu, na mommɔ mmɔden ntena ase trenee mu. Anyɛ saa a, morenhu Awurade.
pursue peace with all, and the separation, apart from which no one will see the LORD,
15 Monhwɛ yiye na mo mu bi annan nʼakyi ankyerɛ Onyankopɔn adom no. Monhwɛ yiye na mo mu bi anyɛ sɛ afifide a ɛyɛ nwen a enyin ma ne bɔnwoma no haw afoforo.
observing lest anyone be failing of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up may give trouble, and through this many may be defiled;
16 Monhwɛ yiye na mo mu bi anyɛ oguamanfo ne obi a ɔmfɛre Onyankopɔn sɛ Esau a obuu nʼani guu nʼagyapade so tɔn nʼabakan a ɔyɛ de gyee aduan no.
lest anyone be a fornicator, or a profane person, as Esau, who in exchange for one morsel of food sold his birthright,
17 Na afei eduu bere bi a ɔpɛɛ sɛ ne nsa ka nʼagya hɔ nhyira no, ɔde kamee no. Ɛwɔ mu sɛ ɔde nusu peree sɛ wanya adwensakra de, nanso anyɛ yiye.
for you know that also afterward, wishing to inherit the blessing, he was disapproved of, for he did not find a place of conversion, though having sought it with tears.
18 Munhyiaa nneɛma a ɛyɛ hu, ogyatannaa, awerɛhow, sum ne ahum sɛnea Israelfo no hyiaa wɔ Sinai Bepɔw no so bere a Onyankopɔn de ne mmara no mae no.
For you did not come near to the mountain touched and scorched with fire, and to blackness, and darkness, and storm,
19 Efisɛ na wɔrebɔ torobɛnto denneennen a nne bi a ɛreka kasa a ɛyɛ hu nenam mu, nti nnipa no srɛɛ Onyankopɔn sɛ onnyae kasa,
and a sound of a trumpet, and a voice of sayings, which those having heard begged that a word might not be added to them,
20 efisɛ na wontumi nni mmara a na ɛka se, “Sɛ mpo aboa koraa de ne ho ka bepɔw no a, ɛsɛ sɛ wosiw no abo kum no” no so.
for they were not bearing that which is commanded, “And if a beast may touch the mountain, it will be stoned, or shot through with an arrow,”
21 Na beae hɔ yɛ hu ara kosii sɛ Mose kae se. “Misuro, na me ho popo.”
and (so terrible was the sight), Moses said, “I am exceedingly fearful, and trembling.”
22 Na mo de, moaba Sion Bepɔw so ne Onyankopɔn a ɔte ase no kurow, ɔsorosoro Yerusalem a ɔsoro abɔfo mpempem wɔ mu no mu.
But you came to Mount Zion, and to [the] city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of messengers,
23 Moaba Onyankopɔn asafomma dedaw a wɔn ani gye wɔn ho a wɔakyerɛw wɔn din wɔ ɔsoro no mu. Moaba Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ nnipa nyinaa temmufo ne atreneefo a wɔayɛ wɔn pɛ no mu.
to the assembly-place and Assembly of the Firstborn registered in Heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to spirits of righteous men made perfect,
24 Moaba Yesu a ɔhyehyɛɛ apam foforo ne mogya a wɔapete a ɛka nneɛma pa ho asɛm sen Habel mogya no ho.
and to a mediator of a new covenant—Jesus, and to blood of sprinkling, speaking better things than that of Abel!
25 Monhwɛ mo ho so yiye na moammu mo ani angu asɛm a ɔka so. Wɔn a wɔantie nea ɔkasa fii asase so no amfa wɔn ho anni. Na ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na yɛatumi aguan afi nea ɔkasa fi ɔsoro no ho na yɛafa yɛn ho adi?
Watch out lest you refuse Him who is speaking, for if those did not escape who refused him who was divinely speaking on earth—much less we who turn away from Him who [speaks] from Heaven,
26 Ne nne wosow asase saa bere no, nanso mprempren wahyɛ bɔ se, “Ɛnyɛ asase nko na mɛsan awosow no, na mɛwosow ɔsoro nso bio saa ara.”
whose voice shook the earth then, and now He has promised, saying, “Yet once [more]—I shake not only the earth, but also Heaven”;
27 Nsɛm “Nso bio saa ara” no da no adi pefee sɛ ɔbɛwosow nneɛma a wɔbɔɔ no na atutu afi wɔn anan mu na nneɛma a wontumi nwosow no aka.
and this, “Yet once [more],” makes evident the removal of the things shaken, as of things having been made, that the things not shaken may remain;
28 Momma yɛnna so ase, efisɛ yɛanya ahenni a wɔwosow no a ɛnyɛ yiye. Momma yɛn ani nsɔ na yɛmfa ɔkwan a ɛbɛsɔ Onyankopɔn ani a ɛyɛ nidi ne osuro so nsom no,
for this reason, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, may we have grace, through which we may serve God well-pleasingly, with reverence and fear,
29 efisɛ nokware ni, yɛn Nyankopɔn yɛ ogya a ɛhyew na ɛsɛe ade.
for our God [is] also a consuming fire.
