< 1 Mose 47 >
1 Yakob mma no beduu Misraim asase so no, Yosef kɔka kyerɛɛ Farao se, “Mʼagya ne me nuanom no de wɔn nguan ne wɔn anantwi ne wɔn agyapade nyinaa afi Kanaan asase so aba, na wɔwɔ Gosen asase so.”
And Joseph comes and declares [it] to Pharaoh, and says, “My father, and my brothers, and their flock, and their herd, and all they have, have come from the land of Canaan, and behold, they [are] in the land of Goshen.”
2 Yosef yii ne nuabarimanom no mu baanum de wɔn kokyia Farao.
And out of his brothers he has taken five men, and sets them before Pharaoh;
3 Farao bisaa anuanom no se, “Adwuma bɛn na moyɛ?” Wobuaa no se, “Wo nkoa yɛ nguanhwɛfo, sɛnea na yɛn agyanom nso yɛ nguanhwɛfo no.”
and Pharaoh says to his brothers, “What [are] your works?” And they say to Pharaoh, “Your servants [are] feeders of a flock, both we and our fathers”;
4 Anuanom no toaa so se, “Yɛaba ha sɛ ananafo a yɛrebɛtena ha kakra, efisɛ ɔkɔm no ano yɛ den yiye wɔ Kanaan asase so hɔ, na wo nkoa nguan nnya aduan nni. Enti yɛresrɛ wo kwan na yɛatena Gosen asase so ha.”
and they say to Pharaoh, “We have come to sojourn in the land, for there is no pasture for the flock which your servants have, for the famine in the land of Canaan [is] grievous; and now, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”
5 Farao ka kyerɛɛ Yosef se, “Wʼagya ne wo nuanom aba wo nkyɛn.
And Pharaoh speaks to Joseph, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you:
6 Misraim asase nyinaa hyɛ wo nsa. Ma wʼagya ne wo nuabarimanom baabi pa na wɔntena. Ma wɔntena Gosen asase so. Sɛ wunim wɔn mu bi a wɔwɔ mmoayɛn ho nimdeɛ a, ma wɔnhwɛ me nguan so mma me.”
the land of Egypt is before you; cause your father and your brothers to dwell in the best of the land—they dwell in the land of Goshen, and if you have known, and there are among them men of ability, then you have set them [as] heads over the livestock I have.”
7 Afei, Yosef kɔfaa nʼagya Yakob de no bekyiaa Farao ma Yakob hyiraa no.
And Joseph brings in his father Jacob, and causes him to stand before Pharaoh; and Jacob blesses Pharaoh.
8 Farao bisaa Yakob se, “Woadi mfe ahe?”
And Pharaoh says to Jacob, “How many [are] the days of the years of your life?”
9 Yakob buaa Farao se, “Madi mfe ɔha ne aduasa a ɔhaw ne abɛbrɛsɛ wɔ mu. Minnu mʼagyanom nkwanna a wɔde tenaa asase so no ho hwee.”
And Jacob says to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my sojournings [are] one hundred and thirty years; few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers, in the days of their sojournings.”
10 Na Yakob hyiraa Farao, na ofii nʼanim kɔe.
And Jacob blesses Pharaoh, and goes out from before Pharaoh.
11 Enti Yosef bɔɔ nʼagya ne ne nuanom no atenase wɔ Misraim asase so. Ɔmaa wɔn agyapade wɔ asase no fa baabi a eye pa ara wɔ Rameses mansin mu, sɛnea Farao hyɛe no.
And Joseph settles his father and his brothers, and gives a possession to them in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh commanded;
12 Yosef maa nʼagya ne ne nuanom no aduan sɛnea wɔn mma dodow te.
and Joseph nourishes his father, and his brothers, and all the house of his father [with] bread, according to the mouth of the infants.
13 Na aduan nni hɔ baabiara, efisɛ na ɔkɔm a aba no ano ayɛ den yiye. Saa ɔkɔm yi kaa Misraim ne Kanaan asase nyinaa ma emu nnipa ne nnɔbae twintwamee.
And there is no bread in all the land, for the famine [is] very grievous, and the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan are feeble because of the famine;
14 Yosef prapraa Misraim ne Kanaan asase so sika nyinaa a onya fii aduantɔn no mu no baa Farao ahemfi.
and Joseph gathers all the silver that is found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, for the grain that they are buying, and Joseph brings the silver into the house of Pharaoh.
15 Bere a nnipa a wɔwɔ Misraim ne Kanaan asase so ho sika nyinaa sae no, Misraim nnipa nyinaa baa Yosef nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, “Yɛn ho sika nyinaa asa, enti ma yɛn aduan nni! Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ yewuwu?”
And the silver is consumed out of the land of Egypt and out of the land of Canaan, and all the Egyptians come to Joseph, saying, “Give bread to us—why do we die before you, though the money has ceased?”
16 Yosef buaa wɔn se, “Sɛ mo sika asa de a, momfa mo nguan ne mo anantwi mmra mmegye aduan.”
And Joseph says, “Give your livestock; and I give to you for your livestock, if the money has ceased.”
17 Enti wɔde wɔn mmoa no brɛɛ Yosef. Mmoa a wɔde wɔn bɛsesaa aduan no yɛ apɔnkɔ, nguan, mmirekyi, anantwi ne mfurum. Saa afe no mu no, wɔde wɔn mmoa nyinaa bɛsesaa aduan.
And they bring in their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gives to them bread, for the horses, and for the livestock of the flock, and for the livestock of the herd, and for the donkeys; and he tends them with bread, for all their livestock, during that year.
18 Afe akyi no, Misraimfo no nyinaa baa Yosef nkyɛn bɛkae se, “Yɛrentumi mfa biribiara nhintaw yɛn wura. Yɛn ho sika nyinaa asa, na yɛn anantwi nso yɛ wo dea. Hwee nni hɔ bio a yebetumi de abrɛ wo, yɛn wura, sɛ yɛn nnipadua ne yɛn nsase nko.
And that year is finished, and they come to him on the second year, and say to him, “We do not hide from my lord, that since the money has been finished, and possession of the livestock [is] to my lord, there has not been left before my lord except our bodies, and our ground;
19 Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ yɛhwere yɛn nkwa ne yɛn nsase wɔ wʼanim! Afei, ma yɛmfa yɛn nnipadua ne yɛn nsase nyinaa mmɛsesa aduan. Yɛde yɛn ho ne yɛn nsase nyinaa bɛkɔ nkoasom mu. Ma yɛn aburow, na ɔkɔm ankum yɛn, amma asase no nso anna mpan.”
why do we die before your eyes, both we and our ground? Buy us and our ground for bread, and we and our ground are servants to Pharaoh; and give seed, and we live, and do not die, and the ground is not desolate.”
20 Enti Yosef tɔɔ Misraim nsase nyinaa maa Farao. Esiane ɔkɔm no ano den nti, Misraimfo no tɔn wɔn nsase no nyinaa. Ɛyɛɛ saa ma nsase no nyinaa bedii Farao nsam.
And Joseph buys all the ground of Egypt for Pharaoh, for the Egyptians have each sold his field, for the famine has been severe on them, and the land becomes Pharaoh’s;
21 Efi Misraim ti kosi ti, Yosef de mu nnipa nyinaa bɛyɛɛ ne nkoa.
as for the people, he has removed them to cities from the [one] end of the border of Egypt even to its [other] end.
22 Asɔfo nko ara nsase na wantɔ, efisɛ asɔfo no de, na Farao atwa anoduan bi de ama wɔn. Ne saa nti na wɔn de, wɔantɔn wɔn nsase no.
Only the ground of the priests he has not bought, for the priests have a portion from Pharaoh, and they have eaten their portion which Pharaoh has given to them, therefore they have not sold their ground.
23 Yosef ka kyerɛɛ nnipa no se, “Afei a matɔ mo ne nsase de ama Farao yi, mo nso, munnye aburow nkodua.
And Joseph says to the people, “Behold, I have bought you today and your ground for Pharaoh; behold, seed for you, and you have sown the ground,
24 Na sɛ aburow no yɛ yiye, na mutwa a, momfa nkyɛmu anum mu baako mmrɛ Farao. Na nkyɛmu anum mu anan a ɛbɛka no, mo ne mo fifo ne mo mma nni bi, na munnyaw bi nso a mubedua.”
and it has come to pass in the increases, that you have given a fifth to Pharaoh, and four of the parts are for yourselves, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for those who [are] in your houses, and for food for your infants.”
25 Wɔkae se, “Anokwa, woagye yɛn nkwa. Ka kyerɛ yɛn wura Farao se, onnye yɛn nto mu, na yɛnyɛ nkoa.”
And they say, “You have revived us; we find grace in the eyes of my lord, and have been servants to Pharaoh”;
26 Ɛnam saa asɛm yi so maa mmara a Yosef hyɛe sɛ wɔmfa asase no so nnɔbae nyinaa mu nkyɛmu anum mu baako mma Farao no da so wɔ hɔ besi nnɛ. Asɔfo no nsase nko ara na ankodi Farao nsam.
and Joseph sets it for a statute to this day, concerning the ground of Egypt, [that] Pharaoh has a fifth; only the ground of the priests alone has not become Pharaoh’s.
27 Israelfo no bɔɔ atenase wɔ Gosen mansin a ɛwɔ Misraim asase so no so. Wonyaa agyapade wɔ hɔ, na wɔn ase nso fɛee yiye.
And Israel dwells in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen, and they have possession in it, and are fruitful, and multiply exceedingly;
28 Yakob tenaa Misraim mfe dunson. Odii mfirihyia ɔha ne aduanan ason ansa na ɔrewu.
and Jacob lives in the land of Egypt seventeen years, and the days of Jacob, the years of his life, are one hundred and forty-seven years.
29 Eduu sɛ Yakob rebewu no, ɔfrɛɛ ne ba Yosef, ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Me ba, sɛ wodɔ me de a, ka ntam di nsew sɛ, wobɛyɛ me adɔe, adi me nokware. Sɛ miwu a, nsie me wɔ Misraim ha.
And the days of Israel are near to die, and he calls for his son, for Joseph, and says to him, “Now if I have found grace in your eyes, please put your hand under my thigh, and you have done kindness and truth with me; please do not bury me in Egypt,
30 Sɛ miwu a, momfa me mfi Misraim ha, nkosie me wɔ faako a wosiee me mpanyimfo no.” Yosef hyɛɛ bɔ se, “Medi asɛm a woaka no so.”
and I have lain with my fathers, and you have carried me out of Egypt, and buried me in their burying-place.” And he says, “I do according to your word”;
31 Yakob kaa bio se, “Ka ntam kyerɛ me.” Yosef kaa ntam no, na Israel nso butuw ne pema so sɔree Onyankopɔn.
and he says, “Swear to me”; and he swears to him, and Israel bows himself on the head of the bed.
