Hesekiel 25

1 Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn se:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2 “Onipa ba, fa wʼani kyerɛ Amonfo so na hyɛ nkɔm tia wɔn.

Son of man Set thy face against the sons of Ammon, — and prophesy against them.

3 Ka kyerɛ wɔn se, ‘Muntie Otumfo Awurade asɛm. Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Esiane sɛ wokaa “Ɛhɛɛ” guu me kronkronbea so bere a woguu ho fi ne Israel asase bere a ɛdaa mpan, ne Yudafo bere a wɔkɔɔ nnommum mu

So then thou shalt say to the sons of Ammon, Hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh: Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh: Because thou saidst Aha! Against my sanctuary when it was profaned. And against the soil of Israel when it was laid waste, And against the house of Judah when they went into exile.

4 nti, mede mo rebɛma nnipa a wofi Apuei fam na wɔde mo ayɛ wɔn de. Wɔbɛkyekye wɔn nsraban, asisi wɔn ntamadan wɔ mo mu; wobedi mo nnuaba na wɔanom mo nufusu.

Therefore, behold me! delivering thee up to the Sons of the East for a possession And they shall set their encampments in thee, And place in thee their habitations, They, shall eat thy fruits, And they, shall drink thy milk;

5 Mɛdan Raba ayɛ no yoma adidibea na Amon ayɛ faako a nguan gye wɔn ahome. Afei mubehu sɛ mene Awurade no.

And I will make of Rabbah a home for camels, And the sons of Ammon a couching-place for flocks, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

6 Na sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Esiane sɛ moabɔ mo nsam de mo anan apempem hɔ, na mode koma mu bɔne nyinaa adi ahurusi atia Israel asase nti,

For, thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because thou didst clap thy hands and stamp with thy foot, —and didst rejoice with all thy contempt in thy soul, against the soil of Israel.

7 mɛteɛ me nsa atia mo na moayɛ asade ama amanaman no. Metwa mo afi amanaman no mu na matɔre mo ase wɔ nsase no so. Mɛsɛe mo na mubehu sɛ mene Awurade no.’”

Therefore behold me! I have stretched out my hand over thee And will deliver thee for a prey to the nations, And will cut thee off from among the peoples, And will cause thee to perish from among the lands, — I will destroy thee, So shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh.

8 “Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: ‘Esiane sɛ Moab ne Seir kae se, “Monhwɛ, Yudafi ayɛ sɛ amanaman a aka no”

Thus saith My Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir say, Lo! like all the nations, is the house of Judah.

9 nti, mebue Moab nkyɛn mu, afi nkurow a ɛdeda nʼahye so, Bet-Yesimot, Baal-Meon ne Kiriataim, a ɛyɛ asase no anuonyam.

Therefore, behold me! laying open the side of Moab out of the cities, Out of his cities on his frontiers, The beauty of the land of Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim:

10 Na mede Moab bɛka Amonfo ho ama nnipa a wɔwɔ Apuei fam de ayɛ wɔn de, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔrenkae Amonfo wɔ amanaman no mu;

To the Sons of the East [when they come] against the sons of Ammon, and I will deliver it up for possession, -to the end the sons of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations:

11 na mɛtwe Moab aso. Na wobehu sɛ mene Awurade no.’”

Also upon Moab, will I execute judgments, - So shall they know that I, am Yahweh.

12 “Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Esiane sɛ Edom tɔɔ were wɔ Yudafi so na ɔnam so dii fɔ no nti,

Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Because of what Edom hath done, in taking vengeance on the house of Judah, so that they have become guilty again and again and have taken vengeance upon them,

13 nea Otumfo Awurade se ni: ‘Mɛteɛ me nsa atia Edom na makum ne mmarima ne ne mmoa, mɛma asase a ɛda Teman kosi Dedan ada mpan, na wɔbɛtotɔ wɔ afoa ano.

Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, I will therefore stretch forth my hand over Edom, and will cut off therefrom man and beast, And will deliver it up as a desolation, from Teman, And they of Dedan, by the sword, shall fall,

14 Me nkurɔfo Israelfo bɛyɛ nsa a mɛfa so atɔ Edom so were na wɔne no bedi no sɛnea mʼabufuw ne mʼabufuwhyew te; wobehu mʼaweretɔ, Otumfo Awurade asɛm ni.’”

And I will put forth mine avenging against Edom, by the hand of my people Israel, And they shall deal with Edom, according to mine anger and according to mine indignation, - So shall they know mine avenging, Declareth My Lord. Yahweh,

15 “Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: ‘Esiane sɛ Filistifo tɔɔ were, na wɔde koma mu nsusuw bɔne na ɛyɛɛ saa, na wɔde ɔtan a efi tete sɛee Yuda nti,

Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Because of what the Philistines have done by way of vengeance, - In that they have taken vengeance with contempt in the soul, to destroy, with the enmity of age-past times.

16 sɛnea Otumfo Awurade se ni: Merebɛteɛ me nsa atia Filistifo, na matwa Keretifo no agu na masɛe wɔn a wɔaka wɔ mpoano hɔ no.

Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! stretching forth my hand over the Philistines, And I will cut off the Cherethim, — And will cause to perish the remnant of the coast of the sea;

17 Mɛtɔ wɔn so were a ɛso na matwe wɔn aso wɔ mʼabufuwhyew mu. Na sɛ metɔ wɔn so were a, wobehu sɛ mene Awurade no.’”

And I will execute upon them great vengeance, with rebukes of indignation: shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I put forth mine avenging against them.
