< Hesekiel 13 >
1 Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn se,
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 “Onipa ba, hyɛ nkɔm tia Israel adiyifo a wɔhyɛ nkɔm mprempren no. Ka kyerɛ wɔn a wɔbɔ wɔn tirim hyɛ nkɔm no se: ‘Muntie Awurade asɛm!
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say to them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of Jehovah!
3 Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Nnome nka adiyifo nkwaseafo a wodi wɔn ankasa honhom akyi na wonhuu hwee no.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 Ao Israelfo, mo adiyifo yi te sɛ nnwiriwii mu sakraman.
Thy prophets, O Israel, are like the foxes in the deserts.
5 Monkɔɔ sɛ morekosiesie afasu no afaafa a abubu no ama Israelfi, sɛnea ebetumi agyina pintinn wɔ ɔko no ano wɔ Awurade da no.’
Ye have not gone up into the breaches, nor built a wall around the house of Israel, to stand in battle in the day of Jehovah.
6 Wɔn adehu yɛ atoro, na wɔn adebisa yɛ nnaadaa. Wɔka se, ‘Awurade aka se,’ wɔ bere a Awurade nsomaa wɔn, nanso wɔhwɛ anim sɛ wɔn nkɔmhyɛ bɛba mu.
They see falsehood, and lying divination. They say, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when Jehovah hath not sent them; and they cause men to hope for the fulfilment of the word.
7 Sɛ moka se, ‘Sɛɛ na Awurade se,’ wɔ bere a menkasae a, na mo anisoadehu nyɛ atoro? Na mo adebisa nso, ɛnyɛ nnaadaa ana?
Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, and said, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when I have not spoken?
8 “Ɛno nti, sɛnea Otumfo Awurade se ni: ‘Mo nsɛm a ɛyɛ atoro ne mo nnaadaa anisoadehu nti, me ne mo anya’, Otumfo Awurade asɛm ni.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood and have seen a lie, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
9 Me nsa betia adiyifo a wɔn anisoadehu yɛ atoro na wɔn abisa yɛ nnaadaa. Wɔremfra me nkurɔfo bagua mu, na wɔrenkyerɛw wɔn din wɔ Israelfi nhoma no mu na wɔn anan rensi Israel asase so. Na afei mubehu sɛ mene Otumfo Awurade.
My hand shall be against the prophets that see falsehood and divine lies. They shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
10 “Esiane sɛ wɔama me nkurɔfo ayera kwan, na wɔka se ‘Asomdwoe,’ wɔ bere a asomdwoe nni hɔ, na afei sɛ wɔto ɔfasu a enni ahoɔden bi a na wɔde akaadoo afa so,
Because, yea, because they seduce my people, and say, “Peace!” when there is no peace; and one buildeth up a wall, and, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar;
11 ɛno nti ka kyerɛ wɔn a wɔka akaadoo no se, ɔfasu no rebebu. Osu a ɔhweam wɔ mu bɛtɔ, na mɛsoma mparuwbo, na mframa a ano yɛ den bɛbɔ.
say to them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower, and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Na sɛ ɔfasu no bu gu fam a, nnipa remmisa wo se, ‘he na akaadoo a wɔde sraa ho no afa,’ ana?
So when the wall is fallen, shall not men say to you, “Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?”
13 “Ɛno nti, nea Otumfo Awurade ka ni: ‘Mʼabufuwhyew mu, mɛma ahum atu, na mʼabufuw mu no, mparuwbo ne osuhweam de adesɛe ahoɔden atɔ.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury, and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14 Medwiriw ɔfasu a mode akaadoo afa ho no na mabubu agu fam ama ne fapem ho ada hɔ. Sɛ ɔfasu no hwe ase a, wɔbɛsɛe mo wɔ mu, na mubehu sɛ mene Awurade.
Thus I will break down the wall which ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and will bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered; it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.
15 Enti mede mʼabufuwhyew bɛkɔ ɔfasu no ne wɔn a wɔde akaadoo sraa ho no so. Mɛka akyerɛ mo se, “Ɔfasu no nni hɔ bio na saa ara na wɔn a wɔde akaadoo sraa ho no nso nni hɔ,
Thus will I accomplish my fury upon the wall, and upon them that daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor they that daubed it;
16 saa Israel adiyifo a wɔhyɛɛ nkɔm maa Yerusalem na wohuu asomdwoe anisoade wɔ bere a asomdwoe nni hɔ no,” Otumfo Awurade na ose.’
even the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and see visions of peace for her when there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.
17 “Afei onipa ba, ma wʼani nkɔ wo nkurɔfo a wɔbɔ wɔn tirim hyɛ nkɔm no mmabea so. Hyɛ nkɔm tia wɔn
Likewise, son of man, set thou thy face against the daughters of thy people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them.
And say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew cushions for all elbows, and make pillows for heads of every stature, to ensnare men to destruction! Will ye hunt the lives of my people, and shall ye save your own?
19 Moasopa me wɔ me nkurɔfo mu de agye atoko nsa ma kakraa bi ne brodo asinasin. Monam atoro a mudi kyerɛ me nkurɔfo a wotie atoro so akunkum wɔn a anka ɛnsɛ sɛ wowuwu, na moama wɔn a anka ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔtena nkwa mu no afa wɔn ho adi.
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley, and for pieces of bread, slaying them that should not die, and saving them alive that should not live, by lying to my people, who hearken to your lies?
20 “‘Ɛno nti, sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Mitia mo ntafowayi bansrɛ a mode sum nkurɔfo mfiri sɛ nnomaa no, na mɛtetew afi mo abasa so; megyaa nnipa a musum wɔn afiri sɛ nnomaa no.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will set myself against the cushions with which ye ensnare men to destruction, so that they shall escape you; and I will tear them from your arms, and make them free whom ye would ensnare, so that they shall escape you.
21 Mɛtetew mo nkataanim no mu afi mo anim, na magye me nkurɔfo nkwa afi mo nsam, na morennya wɔn so tumi bio. Afei mubehu sɛ me ne Awurade.
Your pillows also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall no more be in your hand to be ensnared, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
22 Esiane sɛ mode atoro maa atreneefo aba mu buu wɔ bere a menhyɛɛ wɔn awerɛhow, na mohyɛɛ amumɔyɛfo nkuran se wɔnkɔ so wɔ wɔn akwammɔne so na moagye wɔn nkwa no
Because with lies ye have made sad the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad, and have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;
23 nti, morenhu atoro anisoade bio na mubegyae ntafowayi nso. Megye me nkurɔfo afi mo nsam na afei mubehu sɛ me ne Awurade no.’”
therefore shall ye no more see falsehood, nor divine divinations; but I will deliver my people out of your hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
