1 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se, “Wubehu nea mede bɛyɛ Farao. Menam me tumi so bɛhyɛ no na wama me nkurɔfo no akɔ; me basa kokuroo no bɛma wapam wɔn afi ɔman no mu.”
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall divorce them out of his land.”
2 Na Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ Mose se, “Mene Awurade no.
God spoke to Moses [Drawn out], and said to him, “I am Adonai;
3 Miyii me ho adi kyerɛɛ Abraham, Isak ne Yakob sɛ Onyankopɔn tumfo. Nanso mammɔ me din sɛ Awurade no ankyerɛ wɔn.
and I appeared to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter], as El Shaddai [God Almighty]; but by my name Adonai I was not known to them.
4 Na me ne wɔn hyehyɛɛ apam sɛ mede Kanaan asase a na tete no wɔte so sɛ ahɔho no bɛma wɔn ne wɔn asefo.
I have also established my covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· with them, to give them the land of Canaan [Humbled], the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.
5 Bio, mate Israelfo apinisi ne nya a Misraimfo di wɔn no nyinaa na makae me ne wɔn apam no.
Moreover I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the groaning of the children of Israel [God prevails], whom the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.
6 “Enti ka kyerɛ Israelfo no se, ‘Me, Awurade, menam me tumi so bɛyɛ anwonwade de ayi wɔn afi nkoasom mu ama wɔade wɔn ho.
Therefore tell the children of Israel [God prevails], ‘I am Adonai, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery], and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
7 Megye wɔn ato mu sɛ me nkurɔfo na mayɛ wɔn Nyankopɔn. Na wobehu sɛ mene Awurade, wɔn Nyankopɔn a wagye wɔn afi Misraimfo nsam no.
and I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am Adonai your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery].
8 Mede wɔn bɛba asase a mehyɛɛ bɔ sɛ mede bɛma Abraham, Isak ne Yakob no so. Saa asase no bɛyɛ mo agyapade. Mene Awurade no.’”
I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter]; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Adonai.’”
9 Enti Mose kaa asɛm a Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ no no kyerɛɛ nnipa no, nanso wɔantie, esiane abawpa a efi ɔhyɛ ntraso nti.
Moses [Drawn out] spoke so to the children of Israel [God prevails], but they didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· unto Moses [Drawn out] for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
10 Afei, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
11 “San kɔ Farao nkyɛn kɔka kyerɛ no sɛ ɔmma Israelfo no mfi ne man no mu nkɔ.”
“Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], that he let the children of Israel [God prevails] go out of his land.”
12 Nanso Mose kae se, “Sɛ Israelfo no rentie me a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na Farao betie me, bere a mʼano ntewee yi?”
Moses [Drawn out] spoke before Adonai, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel [God prevails] haven’t sh'ma ·heard obeyed· unto me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?”
13 Afei, Awurade hyɛɛ Mose ne Aaron sɛ wɔnsan nkɔ Israelfo no ne Farao a ɔyɛ Misraimfo hene no nkyɛn nkɔka nkyerɛ no se ɔmma Israelfo no kwan na womfi Misraim asase so nkɔ.
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] and to Aaron [Light-bringer], and gave them an enjoinment to the children of Israel [God prevails], and to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to bring the children of Israel [God prevails] out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
14 Nnipa a na wotuatua Israel mmusuakuw no ano no din na edidi so yi: Ruben a ɔyɛ Israel abakan mmabarima yɛ: Hanok, Palu, Hesron, Karmi. Eyinom na wɔwoo Ruben asefo.
These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben [See, a son!] the firstborn of Israel [God prevails]: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben [See, a son!].
15 Simeon mmabarima: Yemuel, Yamin, Ohad, Yakin, Sohar ne Saulo a na ne na yɛ Kanaanni. Eyinom na wɔwoo Simeon asefo.
The sons of Simeon [Hearing]: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul [Asked for] the son of a Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled] woman; these are the families of Simeon [Hearing].
16 Lewi mmabarima: Gerson, Kohat, Merari Lewi dii mfe ɔha aduasa ason.
These are the names of the sons of Levi [United with] according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi [United with] were one hundred thirty-seven years.
17 Gerson mmabarima: Libni, Simei a wɔyɛ mmusua ti.
The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.
18 Kohat mmabarima: Amram, Ishar, Hebron, Usiel. Kohat dii mfe ɔha aduasa abiɛsa.
The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years.
19 Merari mmabarima: Mahli, Musi. Saa nnipa a wɔabobɔ wɔn din mpanyin mu no no yɛ Lewi abusuafo.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites [Descendants of United with] according to their generations.
20 Amram waree nʼagya nuabea Yokebed na wɔwoo Mose ne Aaron. Amram dii mfe ɔha aduasa ason.
Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron [Light-bringer] and Moses [Drawn out]: and the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven years.
21 Ishar mmabarima: Kora, Nefeg, Sikri.
The sons of Izhar: Korach [Bald one, Frost], and Nepheg, and Zichri.
22 Usiel mmabarima: Misael, Elsafan, Sitri.
The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23 Aaron waree Aminadab babea Elisaba a ɔyɛ Nahson nuabea. Wɔn mma din ni: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar ne Itamar.
Aaron [Light-bringer] took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar [Help of God] and Ithamar.
24 Kora mmabarima: Asir, Elkana, Abiasaf Eyinom ne Kora asefo.
The sons of Korach [Bald one, Frost]: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.
25 Aaron babarima Eleasar waree Putiel mmabea no baako. Na Pinehas yɛ wɔn mma no mu baako. Nnipa a wɔabobɔ wɔn din yi ne wɔn a na wotuatua Lewifo mmusuakuw no ano.
Eleazar [Help of God] Aaron [Light-bringer]’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Pinchas [Bronze skin]. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites [Descendants of United with] according to their families.
26 Saa Aaron ne Mose yi ara na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Munkoyi Israelfo nyinaa mfi Misraim asase so” no.
These are that Aaron [Light-bringer] and Moses [Drawn out], to whom Adonai said, “Bring out the children of Israel [God prevails] from the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] according to their armies.”
27 Na wɔn na wɔkɔɔ Farao hɔ kɔkaa se ɔmma Israelfo no mfi Misraim no.
These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to bring out the children of Israel [God prevails] from Egypt [Abode of slavery]. These are that Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer].
28 Da a Awurade kasa kyerɛɛ Mose wɔ Misraim asase so no,
On the day when Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery],
29 ɔkae se, “Mene Awurade no. Ka asɛm biara a mereka yi kyerɛ Farao a ɔyɛ Misraim hempɔn no.”
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying, “I am Adonai. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery] all that I speak to you.”
30 Na Mose ka kyerɛɛ Awurade bio se, “Mʼano ntewee yi, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na asɛm a mɛka no bɛtɔ Farao asom ama watie me?”
Moses [Drawn out] said before Adonai, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh sh'ma ·hear obey· unto me?”
