< Efesofo 2 >
1 Mo de, na moawuwu wɔ mo amumɔyɛ ne mo bɔne a
and you, being dead in your offences and sins —
2 na anka mote mu, bere a na mudi wiase ne wim sodifo ahenni akyi no ne honhom a mprempren ɛreyɛ adwuma wɔ wɔn a wɔyɛ asoɔden mu no mu. (aiōn )
in which ye once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience: (aiōn )
3 Bere bi, yɛn nyinaa ne wɔn tena dii ɔhonam akɔnnɔ akyi yɛɛ ɔhonam apɛde ne ne nsusuwii. Yɛn nso, na ɛsɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn abufuw ba yɛn so.
among whom we also all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, doing what the flesh and the thoughts willed to do, and were children, by nature, of wrath, even as the rest:
4 Nanso esiane nʼadɔeyɛ a ɛdɔɔso ma yɛn nti, Onyankopɔn a nʼahummɔbɔ dɔɔso no
but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 maa yɛn nkwa wɔ Kristo mu, wɔ bere a anka yɛawuwu wɔ amumɔyɛ mu mpo; adom nti na wɔagye mo nkwa.
(we too being dead in offences, ) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace, )
6 Onyankopɔn nyan yɛn ne Kristo, na ɔde yɛn ne Kristo atena ɔsoro ahemman mu
and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
7 sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a nna a ɛreba no mu no, ɔbɛda nʼadom ahonya a ɛso nni no adi; nʼadɔe a ɔnam Kristo Yesu so yɛɛ yɛn no. (aiōn )
that he might display in the coming ages the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
8 Ɛyɛ adom no nti na wɔnam gyidi so agye mo nkwa. Emfi mo ankasa, ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn akyɛde.
For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:
9 Emfi nnwuma mu, na obi de ahoahoa ne ho.
not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.
10 Onyankopɔn na wayɛ yɛn sɛnea yɛte yi. Ɔnam Kristo so bɔɔ yɛn sɛ yɛmmɛyɛ nnwuma pa a wasiesie ato hɔ no.
For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.
11 Afei monkae sɛ mo a na anka kan no wɔwoo mo sɛ amanamanmufo, na wɔn a wɔfrɛ wɔn ho twetiatwafo no (nea wɔde nsa ayɛ wɔ honam mu) frɛ mo momonotofo,
Wherefore remember that ye, once nations in [the] flesh, who [are] called uncircumcision by that called circumcision in [the] flesh done with the hand;
12 monkae sɛ saa bere no na moatew mo ho afi Kristo ho, na wɔnkan mo mfra Israelfo, na moyɛ ahɔho a monka bɔhyɛ apam no ho, na munni anidaso na munni Onyankopɔn nso wɔ wiase.
that ye were at that time without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 Nanso afei mo a na anka mowɔ akyirikyiri no, wɔnam Kristo mogya no so atwe mo abɛn Onyankopɔn.
but now in Christ Jesus ye who once were afar off are become nigh by the blood of the Christ.
14 Efisɛ Kristo no ankasa nam baako a wama Yudafo ne amanamanmufo ayɛ no so de asomdwoe aba. Ɔnam ɔno ankasa ne honam so bubuu fasu a na etwa wɔn ntam ma wɔyɛ atamfo no.
For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of enclosure,
15 Ɔnam ne nipadua so asɛe Mose mmara ne nʼahyɛde tumi no. Ne botae ne sɛ ɔbɛma Yudafo ne amanamanmufo ayɛ baako na ɔde asomdwoe aba;
having annulled the enmity in his flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might form the two in himself into one new man, making peace;
16 ɔnam asennua a ɔde sɛee nitan a ɛwɔ wɔn ntam no so aka wɔn abɔ mu ayɛ wɔn nipadua baako na wapata wɔne Onyankopɔn ntam.
and might reconcile both in one body to God by the cross, having by it slain the enmity;
17 Enti Kristo ba bɛkaa Asɛmpa a ɛyɛ asomdwoesɛm no kyerɛɛ wɔn a wɔwɔ akyirikyiri ne wɔn a wɔbɛn nyinaa.
and, coming, he has preached the glad tidings of peace to you who [were] afar off, and [the glad tidings of] peace to those [who were] nigh.
18 Ɔno nti yɛwɔ Honhom baako a yɛnam no so kɔ Agya no nkyɛn.
For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father.
19 Enti mprempren, monnyɛ ahɔho ne amamfrafo bio, na mmom mo ne Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo no yɛ nnipa koro na mofra Onyankopɔn abusua no mu,
So then ye are no longer strangers and foreigners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,
20 na wɔato mo asi asomafo no ne adiyifo no fapem a Kristo Yesu no ankasa yɛ ne tweatibo no so.
being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone,
21 Ɔno na ɔma ɔdan mu no nyinaa yɛ baako na ɛbɛyɛ asɔredan kronkron wɔ Awurade mu.
in whom all [the] building fitted together increases to a holy temple in the Lord;
22 Ne mu na wɔresiesie mo na moabɔ mu abɛyɛ ofi a Onyankopɔn nam ne Honhom so tena mu.
in whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.
