< 5 Mose 32 >
1 Monyɛ aso, mo ɔsoro na mɛkasa; tie, wo asase, nsɛm a efi mʼanom.
Give ear, you heavens, and I will speak. Let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
2 Ma me nkyerɛkyerɛ ntɔ sɛ osu; na me nsɛm nsian sɛ obosu, sɛ osu a ɛpete gu sare foforo so, sɛ osu mmoroso wɔ afifide foforo so.
My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will condense as the dew, as the misty rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb.
3 Mɛbɔ Awurade din. O, monkamfo yɛn Nyankopɔn kɛseyɛ!
For I will proclaim the LORD’s name. Ascribe greatness to our God!
4 Ɔne Ɔbotan no, ne nnwuma so nni, na nʼakwan nyinaa ye. Onyankopɔn nokwafo a ɔnyɛ mfomso, Ɔtreneeni ne ɔnokwafo ne no.
The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.
5 Porɔwee adidi wɔn mu na wɔnyɛ ne mma; wɔyɛ awo ntoatoaso akɔntɔnkyefo aniwufo.
They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his children, because of their defect. They are a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Saa ne ɔkwan a ɛsɛ sɛ mofa so tua Awurade ka ni ana, mo nkwaseafo ne adwenharefo? Ɛnyɛ ɔno ne mo Agya, mo yɛfo no? Ɛnyɛ ɔno na ɔbɔɔ mo na ɔmaa mo nnyinaso?
Is this the way you repay the LORD, foolish and unwise people? Isn’t he your father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.
7 Monkae tete nna; munnwen tete awo ntoatoaso no ho. Mummisa mo agya na ɔbɛkyerɛ mo. Mummisa mo mpanyimfo na wɔbɛkyerɛ mo ase.
Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.
8 Bere a Ɔsorosoroni no maa amanaman no agyapade, na ɔkyekyɛɛ adesamma nyinaa mu no, ɔtotoo ahye maa nnipa no sɛnea Israelmma no dodow te.
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the children of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 Efisɛ Israelfo yɛ Awurade kyɛfa; Yakob yɛ nʼagyapade wɔde maa no.
For the LORD’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 Ohuu no wɔ sare asase so, asase kesee a hwee nni so so. Ɔde no sie hwɛɛ ne so; ɔbɔɔ ne ho ban sɛ nʼaniwa kurutiayisi,
He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.
11 sɛ ɔkɔre a ɔhwanyan ne berebuw mu na ɔbɔ mfamfia fa ne mma ho, na ɔtrɛw ne ntaban mu buma no, soaa no kɔɔ no.
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.
12 Awurade nkutoo na ɔkyerɛɛ no kwan; na ananafo nyame biara nka ne ho.
The LORD alone led him. There was no foreign god with him.
13 Ɔma no nantew faa asase no nkoko so; na ɔde mfuw so nnuaba bɔɔ no akɔnhama; Ɔde ɔbotan mu wo ne ngo a efi abohemaa mu,
He made him ride on the high places of the earth. He ate the increase of the field. He caused him to suck honey out of the rock, oil out of the flinty rock;
14 nyɛmmoa mu nufusu ne srade, nguamma ne mmirekyi a wɔadɔ srade, Basan adwennini a wɔpaw ne atoko muhumuhu siesiee no. Monom nsa papa a efi bobe mu.
butter from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. From the blood of the grape, you drank wine.
15 Yeshurun dɔɔ srade na onyaa ahoɔden; aduan ma wɔyɛɛ duru, yɛɛ pemee. Wɔtoo Onyankopɔn a ɔbɔɔ wɔn no asaworam; wɔpoo wɔn Nkwagye Botan no.
But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he abandoned God who made him, and rejected the Rock of his salvation.
16 Wɔma ɔtwee ninkunu wɔ wɔn ananafo anyame no ho na wɔde wɔn abosom a okyi no hyɛɛ no abufuw.
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods. They provoked him to anger with abominations.
17 Wɔbɔɔ afɔre maa atoro anyame a wɔnyɛ Onyankopɔn, anyame a na wonnim wɔn, anyame a wɔbaa nnansa yi ara, anyame a na mo agyanom nsuro wɔn.
They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they didn’t know, to new gods that came up recently, which your fathers didn’t dread.
18 Mopaa Ɔbotan a ɔyɛɛ mo agya no. Mo werɛ fii Onyankopɔn a ɔwoo mo no.
Of the Rock who became your father, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God who gave you birth.
19 Awurade huu eyi na ɔpoo wɔn efisɛ ne mmabarima ne ne mmabea hyɛɛ no abufuw.
The LORD saw and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
20 Ɔkae se, “Mede mʼanim behintaw wɔn na wɔahu sɛnea wɔn awiei bɛyɛ Efisɛ, wɔyɛ awo ntoatoaso akɔntɔnkyefo; mma a wonni nokware.
He said, “I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end will be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 Wɔde nea ɛnyɛ Onyame ahyɛ me ninkutwe na wɔde wɔn ahoni ahuhuw no ahyɛ me abufuw. Mɛma wɔn ani abere nnipa a wɔnyɛ me nkurɔfo. Mɛma ɔman a wonni ntease no ahyɛ wɔn abufuw.
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22 Efisɛ mʼabufuwhyew befita ogya mu, nea ɛhyew kɔka awufo a wɔwɔ asase ase no. Ɛbɛsɛe asase ne so nnɔbae na ɛpaapae mmepɔw fapem. (Sheol )
For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire. (Sheol )
23 “Mɛhɔre amanehunu ahorow no siw wɔ wɔn so na matow me bɛmma awowɔ wɔn.
“I will heap evils on them. I will spend my arrows on them.
24 Mede ɔkɔm kɛse, atiridiinini ne owuyare a ɛsɛe ade; mɛsoma nkekammoa se aba wɔn so; nhurutoa a wɔtow si wɔ mfutuma mu no ano bɔre.
They shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat and bitter destruction. I will send the teeth of animals on them, with the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
25 Afoa bɛma wɔahwere wɔn mma wɔ abɔnten so; wɔn afi mu, ehu bɛtɔ wɔn so. Mmerante ne mmabaa, mmofra ne nkwakoraa ase bɛhyew.
Outside the sword will bereave, and in the rooms, terror on both young man and virgin, the nursing infant with the grey-haired man.
26 Mekae se mɛbɔ wɔn ahwete na mapepa wɔn din afi nnipa adwene mu.
I said that I would scatter them afar. I would make their memory to cease from amongst men;
27 Nanso misuroo ɔtamfo fɛwdi, anyɛ a na ɔtamfo ante ase aka se, ‘Yɛn nsa adi nkonim; Ɛnyɛ Awurade na ɔyɛɛ eyinom nyinaa.’”
were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted; the LORD has not done all this.’”
28 Israel yɛ ɔman a wonni adwene. Obi nni wɔn mu a ɔwɔ nhumu.
For they are a nation void of counsel. There is no understanding in them.
29 Sɛ anka wɔyɛ anyansafo na wɔbɛte eyi ase, na wɔahu nea wɔn awiei bɛyɛ ɛ!
Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30 Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na onipa baako ataa nnipa apem, na baanu bɛma mpem du aguan, gye sɛ wɔn Botan atɔn wɔn gye sɛ Awurade ayi wɔn ama.
How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had delivered them up?
31 Efisɛ wɔn botan nte sɛ yɛn Botan, sɛnea yɛn atamfo mpo gye to mu no.
For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves concede.
32 Wɔn bobe fi Sodom bobe mu na efi Gomora mfuw mu. Awuduru ahyɛ wɔn bobe aba mma, na bɔnwoma ahyɛ wɔn kasiaw amaama.
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poison grapes. Their clusters are bitter.
33 Wɔn bobesa yɛ awɔ ano bɔre; aprammiri ano bɔrewerɛmfo.
Their wine is the poison of serpents, the cruel venom of asps.
34 “So menkoraa eyi mmoroso, na mensɔw ano wɔ mʼademude mu ana
“Isn’t this laid up in store with me, sealed up amongst my treasures?
35 Mɛtɔ were; metua so ka. Wɔn nan bɛwatiri bere a ɛsɛ mu; wɔn atoyerɛnkyɛm no abɛn na wɔn sɛe taa wɔn.”
Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”
36 Awurade bebu ne nkurɔfo atɛn na wasesa nʼadwene wɔ ne nkoa ho, bere a wahu sɛ wɔn ahoɔden asa, na ɛnkaa obiara, akoa anaa ɔdehye.
For the LORD will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, that there is no one remaining, shut up or left at large.
37 Obebisa se, “Afei wɔn anyame no wɔ he, ɔbotan a wɔde yɛɛ wɔn guankɔbea,
He will say, “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge,
38 anyame a wodii wɔn afɔrebɔde mu srade na wɔnom wɔn ɔnom afɔrebɔ mu nsa no? Ma wɔnsɔre mmɛboa mo! Ma womegye mo!
which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you! Let them be your protection.
39 “Afei, munhu sɛ, me ara me ne no! Onyame biara nni hɔ sɛ me! Me na mikum na mema nkwa: Me na mipira, na mɛkyekye, na obi rentumi nnye mfi me nsam.
“See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.
40 Mema me nsa so kyerɛ ɔsoro de nidi sua sɛ: Sɛ mete ase daa yi,
For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,
41 sɛ mesew me afoa a ɛpa yerɛwyerɛw no na mifi atemmu mu so mu kuaw a, mɛtɔ mʼatamfo so were na matua wɔn a wokyi me ka.
if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgement; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me.
42 Mɛma me bɛmma anom mogya abow, na mʼafoa adi ɔhonam, atɔfo ne nnommumfo mogya, atamfo ntuanofo no ti.”
I will make my arrows drunk with blood. My sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.”
43 Mo aman, mo ne ne nkurɔfo nni ahurusi, efisɛ ɔbɛtɔ ne nkoa mogya so were; ɔbɛtɔ were wɔ nʼatamfo so na wapata ama nʼasase ne ne nkurɔfo.
Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries, and will make atonement for his land and for his people.
44 Mose ne Nun babarima Hosea ba bɛkaa dwom yi mu nsɛm nyinaa kyerɛɛ nnipa no.
Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.
45 Mose woroo saa dwom no mu nsɛm no kyerɛɛ Israelfo no wiee no,
Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel.
46 ɔka kaa ho se, “Momfa nsɛm a maka akyerɛ mo no nyinaa nsie mo koma mu. Monka nkyerɛ mo mma nso, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wobedi saa mmara yi mu nsɛm nyinaa so pɛpɛɛpɛ.
He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
47 Saa nkyerɛkyerɛ yi nyɛ nsɛm bi a wɔde rema mo kwa, ɛyɛ mo nkwa! Sɛ mudi so a, mubenyin akyɛ wɔ asase a moretwa Asubɔnten Yordan akɔfa no so.”
For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”
48 Da no ara, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
The LORD spoke to Moses that same day, saying,
49 “Kɔ Moab, kɔ mmepɔw a ɛwɔ asu no apuei no so, na foro Nebo bepɔw a ɛne Yeriko di nhwɛanim no. To wʼani hwɛ Kanaan asase no, asase a mede rema Israelfo sɛ wɔn agyapade no.
“Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is across from Jericho; and see the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel for a possession.
50 Bepɔw a woaforo no so hɔ na wobɛkɔ akɔka wʼagyanom ho, sɛnea wo nua Aaron wuu wɔ Hor bepɔw so kɔkaa nʼagyanom ho no.
Die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;
51 Efisɛ mo baanu dii me huammɔ wɔ Israelfo mu wɔ Meriba ne Kades asu ho wɔ Sin sare so. Moanni me kronkronyɛ ho adanse ankyerɛ Israelfo no wɔ hɔ.
because you trespassed against me amongst the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness amongst the children of Israel.
52 Ɛno nti, mubehu asase no afi akyiri, nanso morenkɔ asase a mede rema Israelfo no so.”
For you shall see the land from a distance; but you shall not go there into the land which I give the children of Israel.”
