< 5 Mose 25 >
1 Sɛ akasakasa si nnipa bi ntam a, wɔmfa asɛm no nkɔ asennii na atemmufo no nni asɛm no. Wobegyaa nea odi bem no na wɔatwe de odi fɔ no aso.
When there ariseth a controversy between men, and they come nigh unto judgment, and judgment is granted them, then shall they justify the righteous man, and condemn the lawless.
2 Sɛ nea odi fɔ no fata sɛ wotwa no mmaa a, atemmufo no bɛma no ada hɔ na wɔatwa no mmaa dodow a ɛfata ne bɔne no wɔ nʼanim.
And it shall be—if the lawless man be, worthy of stripes, then shall the judge cause him to lie down and be beaten before him, according to the measure of his lawlessness, by number:
3 Nanso ɛnsɛ sɛ otemmufo no ma wotwa mmaa boro aduanan. Sɛ wotwa boro saa a, na wɔagu wo yɔnko Israelni anim ase wɔ wʼanim.
forty stripes, may he give him not going beyond, —lest, if he do go beyond to smite him above these, with many stripes, then should thy brother be of no account in thine eyes.
4 Nkyekyere nantwi a ɔreporow atoko ano.
Thou shalt not muzzle an ox when he is treading out the corn.
5 Sɛ nuabarimanom baanu te fie na wɔn mu baako wu a wanwo ɔba a, ɛnsɛ sɛ okunafo no kɔware ɔhɔho. Mmom, ne kunu a wawu no nuabarima na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔware okunafo no ma ɔyɛ okunu nua no asɛde.
When brethren dwell together, and one of them dieth, having, no son, the wife of the dead shall not marry outside to a stranger, —her husband’s brother, shall go in unto her, and take her unto him to wife and do for her as a husband’s brother.
6 Wɔde abakan a wɔbɛwo no no bɛto nʼagya a wawu no sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a owufo no din rempepa mfi Israel.
And it shall be, that, the firstborn which she beareth, shall succeed in the name of his brother who is dead, —so shall his name not be wiped out from Israel.
7 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ owufo no nuabarima mpɛ sɛ ɔware ne nua no yere no a, ɔbea no bɛkɔ kurow no mpanyimfo nkyɛn wɔ kurow no pon ano akɔka akyerɛ wɔn se, “Me kunu nua no mpɛ sɛ ne nua no din bɛka Israel. Ɔrenyɛ okunu nua asɛde mma me.”
But, if the man like not to take his sister-in-law, then shall his sister-in-law go up unto the gate, unto the elders, and say—My husband’s brother hath refused, to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he is not willing to do as a husband’s brother unto me.
8 Afei, ɔbarima no kurom mpanyimfo bɛfrɛ no akasa akyerɛ no. Sɛ ose pene ara na ɔrempene nti ɔka se, “Mempɛ sɛ meware no a,”
Then shall the elders of his city call him and speak unto him, —and he shall stand and say, I like not to take her.
9 okunafo no bɛkɔ ɔbarima no anim a mpanyimfo no nso wɔ hɔ bi. Ɔbɛworɔw ɔbarima no mpaboa baako, ate ntasu agu nʼanim na waka se, “Sɛɛ na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ ɔbarima a ɔmpɛ sɛ ɔtoa ne nua abusua so.”
Then shall his brother’s wife come near unto him in the presence of the elders, and draw his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, —and respond and say, Thus shall it be done unto the man who will not build up the house of his brother.
10 Wɔbɛfrɛ saa onipa no asefo wɔ Israel se Abusua a Wɔaworɔw wɔn Mpaboa.
And his name shall be called in Israel, —The house of him who had his shoe drawn off.
11 Sɛ Israelfo mmarima baanu reko na wɔn mu baako yere pɛ sɛ ɔboa ne kunu nti, oso ɔbarima baako no barima mu a,
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, —and she putteth forth her hand, and seizeth him by his parts of shame,
12 ɛsɛ sɛ motwa ɔbea no nsa no a ahummɔbɔ biara nni mu.
then shalt thou cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity.
13 Monnkita nsania ahorow abien a baako yɛ duru na baako yɛ hare.
Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, —a great and a small.
14 Monnkora olonka ahorow abien a baako so na baako su wɔ mo fi.
Thou shalt not have in thy house divers measures, —a great and a small.
15 Momfa nsania ne olonka a ɛyɛ pɛpɛ na nokwaredi wɔ mu nsusuw aguade na moanya nkwanna tenten wɔ asase a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, de rema mo no so.
A weight full and just, shalt thou have, a measure full and just, shalt thou have, —that thy days may be prolonged upon the soil which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee.
16 Wɔn a wɔfa nsania bɔne ne nkontompo so kari aguade no yɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, akyiwade.
For an abomination unto Yahweh thy God, is every one that doeth these things, —every one that doeth unjustly.
17 Monkae nea Amalekfo yɛɛ mo bere a mufi Misraim reba no.
Remember that which Amalek did unto thee by the way when ye came forth out of Egypt;
18 Wɔtow hyɛɛ mo so bere a moabrɛbrɛ na moatotɔ beraw no na wɔn a wɔaka akyi no nso, wɔbobɔɔ wɔn hwehwee fam. Na wonsuro Onyankopɔn.
how he encountered thee by the way and cut off in thy rear all the worn-out behind thee, thou thyself, being weary and worn, —how he feared not God.
19 Sɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, ma mo ahomegye fi mo atamfo nyinaa nsam, wɔ asase a ɔde rema mo sɛ agyapade no so a, ɛsɛ sɛ mosɛe Amalekfo na wɔankae wɔn bio wɔ asase yi so. Mommma mo werɛ mfi eyi da!
Therefore shall it be when Yahweh thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance to possess it, then shalt thou wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens, —thou shalt not forget.
