< 5 Mose 23 >
1 Ɔbarima a wɔasa no anaa wɔatwa ne barima akyene no mma Awurade bagua ase.
He that is fractured or mutilated in his private parts shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
2 Wɔn a wɔyɛ mpenamma ne wɔn aseni biara, mpo enkosi awo ntoatoaso du no, mma Awurade bagua ase.
[One born] of a harlot shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
3 Amonfo anaa Moabfo anaasɛ wɔn asefo biara, mpo enkosi awo ntoatoaso du no mu biara mma Awurade bagua ase.
The Ammanite and Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even until the tenth generation he shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even for ever:
4 Saa aman yi annye mo, amma mo aduan anaasɛ nsu, bere a mufi Misraim reba no. Mmom, wɔkɔbɔɔ Beor babarima Balaam a ofi Petor a ɛwɔ Mesopotamia paa sɛ ɔmmɛdome mo.
because they met you not with bread and water by the way, when you went out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Mesopotamia to curse you.
5 Nanso Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, antie Balaam. Ɔdan nnome no maa ɛyɛɛ nhyira maa mo, efisɛ Awurade mo Nyankopɔn no, dɔ mo.
But the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam; and the Lord your God changed the curses into blessings, because the Lord your God loved you.
6 Na sɛ mote ase yi, mo ne Amonfo ne Moabfo nnyɛ ayɔnkofa apam koraa.
You shall not speak peaceably or profitably to them all your days for ever.
7 Munnkyi Edomfo anaa Misraimfo, efisɛ Edomfo yɛ mo nuanom, na motenaa Misraimfo nso mu sɛ ahɔho.
You shall not abhor an Edomite, because he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a stranger in his land.
8 Wɔn awo ntoatoaso abiɛsa so mma no betumi akɔ Awurade bagua ase.
If sons be born to them, in the third generation they shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.
9 Sɛ mokɔ ɔko de tia mo atamfo a, montwe mo ho mfi nea ɛho ntew biara ho.
And if you should go forth to engage with your enemies, then you shall keep you from every wicked thing.
10 Sɛ ɔbarima bi ho gu fi esiane anadwo mu ho nsu a ɛsen a, ɛsɛ sɛ ofi atenae hɔ kɔtena baabi da mu no nyinaa.
If there should be in you a man who is not clean by reason of his issue by night, then he shall go forth out of the camp, and he shall not enter into the camp.
11 Edu anwummere a, ɛsɛ sɛ oguare na owia kɔtɔ a, otumi san ba atenae hɔ.
And it shall come to pass towards evening he shall wash his body with water, and when the sun has gone down, he shall go into the camp.
12 Muntwa asraafo atenae hɔ baabi nto hɔ a mubegya mo anan.
And you shall have a place outside of the camp, and you shall go out there,
13 Mofa biribi nka ne nneɛma ho a mode betu fam. Bere biara a mubegya mo anan no, momfa sofi no ntu amoa na monkata agyanan no so.
and you shall have a trowel on your girdle; and it shall come to pass when you would relieve yourself abroad, that you shall dig with it, and shall bring back the earth and cover your nuisance.
14 Ɛsɛ sɛ asraafo atenae hɔ yɛ kronkron, efisɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, nam mo atenae no so bɔ mo ho ban na moadi mo atamfo so nkonim. Ɛnsɛ sɛ ohu animguasede biara wɔ mo mu; sɛ ɛba saa a, ɔbɛdan nʼakyi akyerɛ mo.
Because the Lord your God walks in your camp to deliver you, and to give up your enemy before your face; and your camp shall be holy, and there shall not appear in you a disgraceful thing, and [so] he shall turn away from you.
15 Sɛ nkoa guan ba mo nkyɛn bɛbɔ wɔn ho aguaa a, munnyi wɔn mma wɔn wuranom.
You shall not deliver a servant to his master, who [coming] from his master attaches himself to you.
16 Momma wɔntena mo mu wɔ kurow biara a wɔpɛ so a monnyɛ wɔn ayayade.
He shall dwell with you, he shall dwell amongst you where he shall please; you shall not afflict him.
17 Ɛnsɛ sɛ Israelni barima anaa ɔbea biara yɛ nsɔree so oguamanfo.
There shall not be a harlot of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a fornicator of the sons of Israel; there shall not be an idolatress of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be an initiated person of the sons of Israel.
18 Mommfa afɔrebɔde anaa adenya bi a efi oguamanfo nkyɛn, sɛ ɔyɛ ɔbarima anaa ɔbea, mma Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, fi, efisɛ ɛyɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, akyiwade.
You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, nor the price of a dog into the house of the Lord your God, for any vow; because even both are an abomination to the Lord your God.
19 Bosea a mobɔ mo yɔnko Israelni no, sɛ ɛyɛ sika, aduan anaa biribi foforo bi a wogye ho mfɛntom no, monnnye ho mfɛntom.
You shall not lend to your brother on usury of silver, or usury of meat, or usury of any thing which you may lend out.
20 Mutumi gye bosea ho mfɛntom fi ahɔho nkyɛn na nyɛ Israelfo nkyɛn sɛnea Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, behyira mo wɔ biribiara a moyɛ mu wɔ asase a morekɔ so akɔfa no so.
You may lend on usury to a stranger, but to your brother you shall not lend on usury; that the Lord your God may bless you in all your works upon the land, into which you are entering to inherit it.
21 Sɛ mohyɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, bɔ a, biribiara a mohyɛɛ no ho bɔ no, monyɛ no ntɛm so. Efisɛ ɛdan dɛn ara a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, bɛdan mo ka na mubedi bɔne ho fɔ.
And if you will vow a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it; for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and [otherwise] it shall be sin in you.
22 Nanso sɛ moanhyɛ biribiara ho bɔ a, monyɛɛ bɔne biara.
But if you should be unwilling to vow, it is not sin in you.
23 Na sɛ wo ara wufi wo pɛ mu hyɛ bɔ a, hwɛ yiye na di asɛm a woaka no so, efisɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, na woafi wo pɛ mu de wʼano ahyɛ no bɔ.
You shall observe the words that proceed from between your lips; and as you have vowed a gift to the Lord God, [so] shall you do that which you have spoken with your mouth.
24 Wutumi di bobe aba dodow biara a wopɛ wɔ wo yɔnko bobeturo mu, nanso mfa bi ngu kɛntɛn mu nkɔ.
And if you should go into the corn field of your neighbour, then you may gather the ears with your hands; but you shall not put the sickle to your neighbour's corn.
25 Saa ara na mubetumi de mo nsa abubu atoko kakra wɔ mo yɔnko afum, nanso ɛnsɛ sɛ mode afoa twa.
And if you should go into the vineyard of your neighbour, you shall eat grapes sufficient to satisfy your desire; but you may not put them into a vessel.
