1 Saa bere no na Saulo ani abere sɛ ɔbɛtɔre Kristo akyidifo no ase.
But Saul still breathing out threatnings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, came to the high priest, and desired of him letters to the synagogues at Damascus,
2 Ɔkɔɔ Ɔsɔfopanyin no nkyɛn kogyee adansedi krataa a ɛbɛma no tumi ama wakɔ hyiadan mu wɔ Damasko akɔkyekyere Yesu akyidifo, mmea ne mmarima, na ɔde wɔn akɔ Yerusalem.
that if he should find any of this persuasion, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3 Ɔreyɛ abɛn Damasko no, prɛko pɛ na hann bi fi ɔsoro twa faa ne ho
And as he was on his journey, and came near to Damascus, suddenly there shone round about him a light from heaven;
4 ma otwa hwee fam. Afei, ɔtee nne bi se, “Saulo! Adɛn nti na wotaa me?”
and he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 Saulo bisae se, “Ɛyɛ wo hena, Owura?” Nne no buae se, “Ɛyɛ me Yesu a wotaa me no.”
And he said, Who art Thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus the Nazarene whom thou art persecuting: it is hard for thee to kick against the goads.
6 Nne no kae se, “Sɔre na kɔ kurow no mu na wɔbɛkyerɛ wo nea ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ.”
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee, what thou must do.
7 Nnipa a wɔne Saulo nam no gyinae a wɔantumi anka hwee; wɔtee nne no, nanso wɔanhu obiara.
And the men that went along with him, stood astonished, hearing the voice, but seeing no one.
8 Afei Saulo sɔre fii fam hɔ buee nʼani, nanso na onhu ade. Enti wokurakura no nkakrankakra de no kɔɔ Damasko.
And Saul rose from the earth, but when he opened his eyes he could not see: so they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus.
9 Nnansa a odii wɔ Damasko no na onhu hwee. Na onnidi na ɔnnom nso.
And he was three days without sight, and did neither eat nor drink.
10 Na osuani bi wɔ Damasko a wɔfrɛ no Anania. Awurade frɛɛ no anisoadehu mu se, “Anania!” Ogyee so se, “Awurade!”
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias, and he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Kɔ Yuda fi a ɛwɔ Ɔtempɔn Tee no so na kobisa ɔbarima bi a wɔfrɛ no Saulo a ofi Tarso no ase; ɔrebɔ mpae.
And the Lord said unto him, Arise and go into the street which is called Strait, and enquire in the house of Judas for one Saul, of Tarsus:
12 Anisoadehu mu na ohuu ɔbarima bi a wɔfrɛ no Anania a ɔde ne nsa too no so sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔbɛsan ahu ade.”
for behold he is praying, and hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias, coming in and putting his hand upon him, that he might recover his sight.
13 Anania buae se, “Awurade, mate saa ɔbarima yi ho nsɛm bebree, ne haw a ɔhaw wʼakyidifo wɔ Yerusalem no.
And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much mischief he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 Wakɔ asɔfo mpanyin nkyɛn akogye adansedi krataa a ɛbɛma no tumi na ɔde akyere obiara a ɔbɔ wo din wɔ ha no.”
and here too he hath authority from the chief priests to apprehend all that call upon thy name.
15 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Anania se, “Kɔ! Efisɛ ɔno na mayi no a menam ne so bɛma amanamanmufo ne ahemfo ne Israelfo nyinaa ate me din.
But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way, for he is the instrument I have chosen, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 Na mɛkyerɛ no amane a esiane me din nti obehu.”
for I will shew him how great sufferings he must endure for my name.
17 Afei Anania kɔɔ fie hɔ de ne nsa guu Saulo so kae se, “Onua Saulo, Awurade Yesu no ankasa a oyii ne ho adi kyerɛɛ wo wɔ ɔkwan so bere a woreba no asoma me se, mimmebue wʼani mma wunhu ade na Honhom Kronkron nhyɛ wo ma.”
And Ananias went away and came into the house; and putting his hands on him, said, "Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, who appeared to thee on the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the holy Spirit."
18 Amono mu hɔ ara na biribi a ɛte sɛ abon fii nʼani so na ohuu ade. Ɔsɔre ma wɔbɔɔ no asu.
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it were scales; and he instantly recovered his sight, and arose and was baptized.
19 Onyaa aduan bi di mee no, ne ho san no. Saulo dii nna kakra wɔ asuafo a na wɔwɔ Damasko no nkyɛn.
And when he had taken some nourishment, he was strengthened. Now Saul was with the disciples at Damascus for some time.
20 Ofii ase kaa asɛmpa no wɔ hyiadan mu se, Yesu yɛ Onyankopɔn Ba ampa.
And he immediately preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.
21 Nnipa a wɔtee asɛm a ɔkae no nyinaa ho dwiriw wɔn ma wobisae se, “Ɛnyɛ saa ɔbarima yi na na okum wɔn a wɔbɔ saa din yi wɔ Yerusalem no ana? Na yɛate sɛ ɔbaa ha sɛ ɔrebɛkyere wɔn a wɔbɔ saa din yi nyinaa de wɔn akɔma asɔfo mpanyin.”
But all that heard him, were amazed, and said, Is not this he that persecuted those in Jerusalem who called on this name, and came hither for this end, that he might carry them bound to the chief priests?
22 Saulo asɛnka no mu yɛɛ den; nnipa no gyee nsɛm a ɔka faa Yesu ho sɛ ɔno ne Agyenkwa no dii. Yudafo a wɔte Damasko no antumi anka nsɛm a ɔkae no ho hwee.
But Saul prevailed more and more, and confounded the Jews that dwelt at Damascus, fully proving that this same Jesus is the Christ.
23 Nna bi akyi no, Yudafo no bɔɔ Saulo ho pɔw sɛ wobekum no,
And after a considerable time, the Jews conspired to kill him:
24 nanso Saulo tee pɔw a wɔbɔɔ wɔ ne ho no. Na wɔtetɛw no wɔ kurow no apon ano awia ne anadwo apɛ no akum no.
but Saul was apprised of their design. And they watched the gates day and night, to make away with him:
25 Anadwo bi Saulo akyidifo de no sii kɛntɛn bi mu, twetwee no faa ɔfasu so gyaa no sii fam.
but the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall, in a basket.
26 Saulo kɔɔ Yerusalem no, ɔpɛɛ sɛ ɔde ne ho kɔbɔ asuafo no ho nanso wosuroo no, efisɛ na wonnye nni sɛ wasakra abɛyɛ osuani.
And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he attempted to associate with the disciples: and they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
27 Barnaba kɔfaa no kɔɔ asuafo no nkyɛn. Ɔkaa wɔn sɛnea Awurade yii ne ho adi kyerɛɛ Saulo na ɔkasa kyerɛɛ no wɔ Damasko kwan so no ne sɛnea ɔde akokoduru kaa Yesu ho asɛm wɔ Damasko no.
But Barnabas took and brought him to the apostles, and related to them, how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that He had spoken to him; and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 Saulo ne wɔn tenae na ɔde akokoduru kaa Awurade asɛm no wɔ Yerusalem nyinaa.
And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem, and preaching openly in the name of the Lord Jesus:
29 Saulo ne Helenifo nyaa akasakasa enti wɔbɔɔ pɔw sɛ wobekum no.
and he talked and disputed with the Hellenists, who attempted to kill him:
30 Bere a agyidifo no tee pɔw a Helenifo no bɔɔ wɔ Saulo ho no, wɔde no kɔɔ Kaesarea gyaa no kwan ma ɔkɔɔ Tarso.
but when the brethren knew it, they brought him down to Cesarea, and sent him away to Tarsus.
31 Afei asafo a wɔwɔ Yudea, Samaria ne Galilea no nyinaa asom dwoo wɔn. Asafo no nam Honhom Kronkron so timii. Nnipa pii bɛkaa wɔn ho na wɔtenaa ase wɔ Awurade suro mu.
Then the churches throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had rest, being edified and walking in the fear of the Lord; and through the consolation of the holy Spirit were multiplied.
32 Petro tutuu akwan kɔɔ mmeaemmeae. Da bi a ɔkɔsraa agyidifo a wɔwɔ Lida no,
And it came to pass that as Peter was going through all parts, he came down also to the saints that dwelt at Lydda.
33 ohyiaa ɔbarima bi a ne din de Enea a wabubu agu kɛtɛ so mfe awotwe wɔ hɔ.
And there he found a man named Eneas, who had kept his bed eight years, with the palsy.
34 Petro ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Enea, Awurade Yesu Kristo nsa wo yare. Sɔre na yi wo kɛtɛ!” Amono mu hɔ ara na Enea sɔree.
And Peter said unto him, Eneas, Jesus the Messiah, healeth thee. Arise, and make thy bed. And he rose up immediately.
35 Nnipa a wɔte Lida ne Saron no nyinaa huu no no, wɔde wɔn ho maa Awurade.
And all that dwelt at Lydda and in Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36 Na ɔbea ogyidini bi te Yopa a ne din de Tabita a ne nkyerɛase ne Dorka a ase ne ɔwansan. Saa ɔbea yi de nʼadagyew nyinaa yɛɛ papa, boaa ahiafo.
And there was at Joppa a certain female disciple named Tabitha, who by interpretation is called in Greek Dorcas: and she was full of good works and alms-deeds.
37 Saa bere koro no ara mu na ɔyare bɔɔ no ma owui. Woguaree no de no kɔtoo abansoro dan bi mu.
And it happened, about the same time, that she fell sick and died: and when they had washed her they laid her out in an upper chamber.
38 Esiane sɛ Lida bɛn Yopa nti, asuafo a wɔwɔ Yopa no tee sɛ Petro wɔ Lida no, wɔsomaa mmarima baanu kɔsrɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ ntɛm mmra.
And as Lydda was near to Joppa, the disciples hearing that Peter was there sent two men to him, intreating him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Petro yɛɛ ntɛm ne wɔn kɔe. Oduu hɔ no wɔde no kɔɔ abansoro dan no mu. Akunafo a na wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa begyinagyinaa Petro ho sui, de ntade ne ntama a Tabita te ase no ɔpam maa wɔn no kyerɛɛ no.
Then Peter arose, and went with them: and when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber. And all the widows stood round him weeping, and shewing him the coats and garments which Dorcas made when she was with them.
40 Petro maa wɔn nyinaa fii adi. Afei obuu nkotodwe, bɔɔ mpae dan nʼani kyerɛɛ amu no kae se, “Tabita, sɔre!” Tabita tew nʼani na ohuu Petro no, ɔsɔre tenaa ase.
But Peter, putting them all out, kneeled down and prayed: and then turning to the body he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41 Petro soo ne nsa ma ɔsɔre gyinaa hɔ. Afei Petro frɛɛ agyidifo no ne akunafo no nyinaa de no maa wɔn.
And giving her his hand he raised her up, and calling the saints and widows he presented her alive.
42 Saa asɛm yi trɛw wɔ Yopa nyinaa ma nnipa pii gyee Awurade dii.
And it was soon known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.
43 Petro tenaa Simon a ɔhyɛ mmoa nhoma aduru no nkyɛn wɔ Yopa kyɛɛ kakra.
And he staid many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
