< Asomafo 2 >

1 Pentekoste da no duu no, na asuafo no nyinaa ahyia wɔ faako.
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 Amono mu hɔ ara, nne bi te sɛ ahum a ɛretu fi ɔsoro ba bɛhyɛɛ ofi a na wɔwɔ mu no ma.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 Ogya a ɛredɛw a ɛte sɛ tɛkrɛma besisii wɔn so mmaako mmaako.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 Honhom Kronkron no hyɛɛ wɔn nyinaa ma, na wɔkaa kasa foforo, sɛnea Honhom no maa wɔn ho kwan no.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 Saa bere no na Yudafo bi a wɔfɛre Nyame fi mmeaemmeae aba Yerusalem.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Wɔtee nea ɛrekɔ so no, wɔbɔɔ twi behyiae, na ɛyɛɛ wɔn nwonwa ne ahodwiriw, efisɛ obiara tee sɛ wɔreka ne kurom kasa.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 Enti wobisae se, “Na saa nnipa yi a wɔrekasa yi nyɛ Galileafo ana?
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans?
8 Na adɛn nti na yɛte sɛ wɔreka Onyankopɔn anwonwadwuma ho asɛm wɔ yɛn a yɛyɛ
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Partifo, Mediafo ne Elamfo, ne wɔn a wɔte Mesopotamia ne Yudea ne Kapadokia, Ponto, Asia,
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Frigia ne Pamfilia, Misraim ne Libia fa a ɛbɛn Kirene ne ahɔho a wofi Roma, Yudafo ne wɔn a wɔasakra aba Yudasom mu,
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 ne Kretafo ne Arabfo mu biara kasa mu yi?”
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 Wɔde ahodwiriw bisae se, “Eyi ase ne dɛn?”
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Afoforo nso dii wɔn ho fɛw se, “Saa nnipa yi abobow nsa.”
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14 Petro ne asomafo dubaako no sɔre gyinaa hɔ na ɔkasaa denneennen kyerɛɛ nnipa no se, “Me nuanom Yudafo ne mo a mote Yerusalem nyinaa, muntie asɛm a mereka yi.
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 Saa nnipa yi mmow nsa sɛnea mususuw no, efisɛ ade nnya nkyee a ɛsɛ sɛ obi nom nsa bow.
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
16 Asɛm a asi yi na odiyifo Yoel hyɛɛ ho nkɔm se:
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 “‘Onyankopɔn kae se, nna a edi akyiri no, mehwie me Honhom no agu nnipa nyinaa so. Mo mmabarima ne mo mmabea bɛhyɛ nkɔm, mo mmerante nso ahu anisoade. Na mo mpanyin nso asoso adae.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 Saa mmere no mu no, mehwie me Honhom agu mʼasomfo mpo so, mmarima ne mmea, ama wɔahyɛ nkɔm.
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 Mede mogya ne ogya ne wusiw kumɔnn bɛyɛ anwonwade ne nsɛnkyerɛnne wɔ ɔsoro ne asase so.
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 Ansa na Awurade da kɛse no bɛba no, owia beduru sum na ɔsram nso ayɛ sɛ mogya.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 Na obiara a ɔbɛbɔ Awurade din no benya nkwa.’
And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 “Israelfo, muntie! Yesu Nasareni no yɛ ɔbarima bi a ne dwuma kronkron a obedii no daa adi wɔ tumi ne anwonwade ne nsɛnkyerɛnne a Onyankopɔn nam ne so yɛe a mo ankasa di ho adanse no mu.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Onyankopɔn ankasa fi ne pɛ ne ne nhumu mu sii gyinae yii Yesu maa mo, na mode no maa nnebɔneyɛfo ma wɔbɔɔ no asennua mu kum no.
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Nanso Onyankopɔn nyan no fii owu mu ma oyii no fii owuyaw mu, efisɛ owu antumi anni ne so.”
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 Asɛm a Dawid ka faa ne ho ne sɛ, “Mihu Awurade wɔ mʼani so daa nyinaa. Esiane sɛ ɔwɔ me nsa nifa nti, merenhinhim da.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Ɛno nti me kra ani gye, na me tɛkrɛma di ahurusi. Me nipadua nso bɛhome asomdwoe mu.
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Efisɛ worennyaw me awufo mu. Na woremma wo Kronkronni no mporɔw. (Hadēs g86)
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
28 Woakyerɛ me nkwagye kwan; na wobɛma mʼani agye wɔ wʼanim.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 “Anuanom, ɛsɛ sɛ meda mʼadwene adi pefee wɔ yɛn panyin Dawid ho. Owui na wosiee no, na ne nna da so wɔ hɔ besi nnɛ.
Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Na ɔyɛ odiyifo a onim bɔ bi a Onyankopɔn ahyɛ no no. Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ bɔ se ɔbɛyɛ Dawid asefo no mu baako ɔhene, sɛnea Dawid yɛ ɔhene no ara pɛ.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 Dawid huu nea Onyankopɔn rebɛyɛ no ɔkasa faa owusɔre a ɛfa Agyenkwa no ho se, ‘Wɔannyaw no awufo mu. Ne honam nso amporɔw.’ (Hadēs g86)
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 Onyankopɔn anyan saa Yesu yi afi owu mu, na yɛn nyinaa yɛ saa asɛm yi ho nnansefo.
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Wɔahyɛ no anuonyam de no akɔtena Onyankopɔn nifa so ma ne nsa aka Honhom Kronkron no a Agya no hyɛɛ no ho bɔ no; ɛno na wahwie agu yɛn so, na ɛho nsɛnkyerɛnne na muhu na mote yi.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 Dawid ankasa de, wankɔ ɔsoro, na mmom ɔkae se, “‘Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me wura se, “Tena me nsa nifa so ha,
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 kosi sɛ mede wʼatamfo bɛyɛ wʼanan ntiaso.”’
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 “Ɛsɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ Israel nyinaa hu sɛ, mo na mobɔɔ saa Yesu yi a Onyankopɔn ayɛ no Awurade ne Agyenkwa no asennua mu.”
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Bere a nnipa no tee saa asɛm yi, ɛhaw wɔn yiye. Enti wobisaa Petro ne asomafo a wɔaka no se, “Anuanom, dɛn na yɛnyɛ?”
Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?
38 Petro ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Monsakra mo adwene na momma wɔmmɔ mo asu wɔ Yesu Kristo din mu sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔde mo bɔne bɛkyɛ mo na moanya Onyankopɔn akyɛde a ɛyɛ Honhom Kronkron no.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ Honhom Kronkron yi ho bɔ maa mo ne mo mma ne wɔn a wɔtete akyirikyiri ne wɔn a Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn bɛfrɛ wɔn aba ne nkyɛn no nyinaa.”
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 Petro kaa nsɛm bebree kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Munnye mo ho mfi asotwe a ɛreba saa nnebɔneyɛfo yi so no mu.”
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Wɔn mu dodow no ara gyee asɛm no di ma wɔbɔɔ wɔn asu. Saa da no, nnipa bɛyɛ mpensa na wɔbɛkaa agyidifo no ho.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
42 Daa na wɔde wɔn adagyew nyinaa sua asomafo no nkyerɛkyerɛ. Wɔne wɔn nyaa ayɔnkofa, hyia didi bɔɔ mu ne wɔn bɔɔ mpae.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 Asomafo no yɛɛ anwonwade ahorow bebree ma obiara a ohuu no ho dwiriw no.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 Gyidifo no nyinaa kɔɔ so tenaa ase sɛ nnipa koro, na wɔkyekyɛɛ wɔn ahode mu memaa wɔn ho wɔn ho.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 Wɔtɔn wɔn ahode kyekyɛɛ sika a wonya fii mu no maa wɔn ho wɔn ho sɛnea ɛho hia obiara.
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.
46 Daa na wɔbɔ mu hyia wɔ asɔredan mu de anigye ne koma pa bɔ mu didi wɔ wɔn afi mu. Wɔkamfoo Onyankopɔn, nyaa anuonyam wɔ nnipa anim.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Da biara na Awurade de wɔn a ogye wɔn nkwa no bɛka wɔn ho.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
