< Asomafo 13 >

1 Adiyifo ne akyerɛkyerɛfo a na wɔwɔ Antiokia asafo no mu bi ne Barnaba ne Simeon, a na wɔfrɛ no “Onipa Tuntum,” Lukio a ɔyɛ Kireneni, Manaen, a ɔne Ɔhene Herode yɛ tipɛn, ne Saulo.
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Bere a wɔresom Awurade na wɔredi mmuada no, Honhom Kronkron no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Munyi Barnaba ne Saulo na wonkodi dwuma a ɛno nti mafrɛ wɔn no mma me.”
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 Wodii mmuada bɔɔ mpae, de wɔn nsa guu wɔn so somaa wɔn.
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.
4 Honhom Kronkron somaa wɔn no, wɔkɔɔ Seleukia. Wofi hɔ no, wɔtoaa wɔn akwantu no so koduu Kipro.
So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 Woduu Salami no, wɔkaa Onyankopɔn asɛm wɔ Yudafo hyiadan mu. Saa bere no na Yohane Marko ka wɔn ho sɛ ɔsomfo.
And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to [their] minister.
6 Wotwaa mu wɔ supɔw no so koduu Pafo, na hɔ na wohyiaa Yudani nkonyaayifo bi a ɔfrɛ ne ho se odiyifo a na ne din de Bar-Yesu.
And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [was] Bar-jesus:
7 Na nʼadamfo ne amrado a ɔwɔ supɔw no so a ne din de Sergio Paulo no. Saa amrado a na onim nyansa yiye no soma ma wɔkɔfrɛɛ Barnaba ne Saulo, efisɛ na ɔrehwehwɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm atie.
Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 Nanso nkonyaayifo Bar-Yesu a Hela kasa mu wɔfrɛ no Elima no ampene so, efisɛ na ɔmpɛ sɛ amrado yi betie Onyankopɔn asɛm.
But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Afei Saulo a na wɔfrɛ no Paulo a Honhom Kronkron ahyɛ no ma no hwɛɛ nkonyaayifo Elima dinn kae se,
Then Saul, (who also [is called] Paul, ) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 “Ɔbonsam ba a ɔte sɛ wo! Wompɛ ade pa biara yiye. Nnaadaa ahorow ahyɛ wo ma. Bere biara wopɛ sɛ wodan Awurade nokwasɛm ani ma ɛyɛ nkontomposɛm!
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, [thou] child of the devil, [thou] enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Amrado no huu asɛm a asi no, ogyee Awurade asɛm no dii. Awurade ho asɛm a ɔtee no maa ne ho dwiriw no.
Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Paulo ne ne dɔm no tenaa hyɛn mu fii Pafo kɔɔ Perge a ɛwɔ Pamfilia no; ɛhɔ na Yohane a ne din baako nso ne Marko no gyaw wɔn san kɔɔ Yerusalem.
Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 Wofi Perge no, wɔkɔɔ Antiokia a ɛwɔ Pisidia. Eduu Homeda no, wɔkɔɔ hyiadan mu kɔsomee.
But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15 Wɔkenkan Mose Mmara no ne Adiyifo no nsɛm wiei no, hyiadan no mu mpanyimfo no soma kɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Anuanom, sɛ mowɔ asɛm bi a mobɛka de ahyɛ nnipa no nkuran a, mowɔ ho kwan sɛ moka.”
And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, [Ye] men [and] brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
16 Afei Paulo sɔre gyina nyamaa ne nsa fii ase kasae se, “Me nuanom Israelfo ne amanamanmufo a mowɔ ha a mosom Onyankopɔn no muntie me!
Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with [his] hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
17 Israel Nyankopɔn yii yɛn nenanom ma wɔyɛɛ ɔman kɛse bere a na wɔte Misraim asase so no. Onyankopɔn nam ne tumi kɛse so yii wɔn fii Misraim,
The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
18 na ɔhwɛɛ wɔn so wɔ sare so mfe aduanan.
And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.
19 Otuu aman ason wɔ Kanaan asase so gui, de asase no maa ne nkurɔfo sɛ wɔn awunyade,
And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.
20 ma wɔtenaa so mfe ahannan ne aduonum. Eyi akyi no ɔmaa atemmufo dii wɔn so kosii sɛ Odiyifo Samuel bae.
And after that he gave [unto them] judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 Bere a wɔpɛɛ sɛ wonya ɔhene ma odi wɔn so no, Onyankopɔn de Kis ba Saulo a ofi Benyamin abusua mu no maa wɔn ma odii wɔn so mfe aduanan.
And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 Onyankopɔn tuu Saulo ade so na ɔde Dawid sii nʼanan mu. Asɛm a Onyankopɔn ka faa Dawid ho ne sɛ, ‘Mahu sɛ Yisai ba Dawid ne onipa a mepɛ no; ɔyɛ onipa a ɔbɛyɛ nea mepɛ nyinaa.’
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 “Sɛnea Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ ho bɔ no, Yesu a ɔyɛ Dawid aseni no na ɔyɛɛ no Israelfo Agyenkwa.
Of this man’s seed hath God according to [his] promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 Ansa na Yesu rebefi nʼadwuma ase no, Yohane kaa adwensakra ho asɛm kyerɛɛ Israelfo se, wɔnsakra mfi wɔn bɔne ho na wɔmma wɔmmɔ wɔn asu.
When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 Ansa na Yohane rebewie nʼasɛnka no, obisaa nnipa no se, ‘Mususuw sɛ meyɛ hena? Ɛnyɛ me ne onipa a moretwɛn no no. Ɛrenkyɛ biara na nea moretwɛn no a mensɛ sɛ mɛworɔw ne mpaboa afi ne nan no bɛba.’
And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not [he]. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of [his] feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 “Me nuanom Abraham asefo ne amanamanmufo a mosom Onyankopɔn a mowɔ ha, yɛn nti na Onyankopɔn soma ma wɔde saa nkwagye yi aba.
Men [and] brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 Esiane sɛ nnipa a na wɔte Yerusalem ne wɔn mpanyimfo nnim sɛ ɔno ne Agyenkwa no, na wɔnte adiyifo no nsɛm a wɔkenkan no Homeda no ase no nti, wobuu Yesu kumfɔ maa adiyifo no nsɛm no baa mu.
For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him].
28 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ wɔannya afɔbusɛm bi annyina so ammu no kumfɔ de, nanso wɔmaa Pilato kum no.
And though they found no cause of death [in him], yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 Wɔyɛɛ biribiara a Kyerɛwsɛm no ka fa ne ho wiee no, woyii no fii asennua no so kosiee no.
And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took [him] down from the tree, and laid [him] in a sepulchre.
30 Nanso Onyankopɔn ma ɔsɔre fii awufo mu,
But God raised him from the dead:
31 na ne wusɔre akyi no, oyii ne ho adi nna pii kyerɛɛ wɔn a na wɔne no tu kwan fi Galilea kɔ Yerusalem no. Wɔne nnipa a wodi ne ho adanse kyerɛ Israelfo no.
And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 “Afei yɛwɔ ha sɛ yɛrebɛka asɛmpa no akyerɛ mo se, Onyankopɔn nam sɔre a ɔmaa Yesu Kristo sɔre fii awufo mu no so ama bɔ a ɔhyɛɛ yɛn nenanom no aba mu.
And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
33 Eyi ne nea wɔakyerɛw wɔ Nnwom a ɛto so abien no mu se, “‘Woyɛ me ba; nnɛ, mayɛ wʼAgya.’
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 Asɛm a Onyankopɔn ka faa sɔre a ɔma no sɔre fii awufo mu na amma no amporɔw no ne sɛ, “‘Mede nhyira kronkron a mehyɛɛ Dawid ho bɔ no behyira wo.’
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35 Wɔaka no wɔ baabi nso se, “‘Woremma wo Kronkronni no mporɔw.’
Wherefore he saith also in another [psalm], Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 “Dawid bere so no, ɔsom Onyankopɔn kosii sɛ owu ma wosiee no wɔ ne nenanom nkyɛn pɛɛ, na ne nipadua porɔwee.
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 Nanso nea Onyankopɔn nyan no fii awufo mu no amporɔw.
But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 “Anuanom, ɛsɛ sɛ mo nyinaa te ase sɛ ɛnam Yesu so na wɔka bɔnefakyɛ ho asɛm kyerɛ mo.
Be it known unto you therefore, men [and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 Ɛsɛ sɛ mote ase sɛ obiara a ogye no di no, wɔabu no bem a anka Mose mmara ntumi mmu no no.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Monhwɛ yiye na adiyifo no nkɔm a wɔhyɛɛ no amma mo so:
Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 “‘Mo fɛwdifo! Momma ɛnyɛ mo nwonwa na mo ho nnwiriw mo! Efisɛ merebɛyɛ biribi wɔ wo bere so, na sɛ wɔka kyerɛ wo a, worennye nni!’”
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
42 Paulo ne Barnaba refi asɔredan no mu no, nnipa no srɛɛ wɔn sɛ wɔmmra Homeda a ɛreba no mmɛkyerɛkyerɛ wɔn bio.
And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Nnipa no wiee nhyiamu no, Yudafo ne amanamanmufo bebree a wɔasakra aba Yudasom mu no tu dii Paulo ne Barnaba akyi. Asomafo no tuu wɔn fo, hyɛɛ wɔn nkuran sɛ wɔntena ase Onyankopɔn adom mu.
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 Homeda a edi so no dui no, ɛkame ayɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔte kurow no mu no nyinaa betiee Awurade asɛm.
And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 Yudafo no huu nnipakuw no, wɔn ani bere ma wɔsɔre gyee nsɛm a Paulo reka no ho akyinnye kasa tiaa no.
But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Nanso Paulo ne Barnaba de akokoduru kɔɔ so kae se, “Mone nnipa a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔka Onyankopɔn asɛm no kyerɛ mo kan. Na sɛ moapo, na mummu mo ho sɛ nkwa a enni awiei ho hia mo nti, yebegyaw mo hɔ akɔ amanamanmufo no nkyɛn. (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 Ahyɛde a Awurade de ama yɛn ne sɛ, “‘Mɛma mo ayɛ amanamanmufo nyinaa kanea; ɛnam mo so na wobegye wiasefo nyinaa nkwa.’”
For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 Amanamanmufo no tee saa asɛm no, wɔn ani gye ma wɔkamfoo Awurade asɛm no, na wɔn a wɔayi wɔn ama nkwa a enni awiei no bɛyɛɛ agyidifo. (aiōnios g166)
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (aiōnios g166)
49 Na Awurade asɛm no trɛw ɔmantam no mu nyinaa.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 Nanso Yudafo no tuu nnipa atitiriw a wɔwɔ kurow no mu no ne mmea Nyamesurofo a na wɔwɔ hɔ bi a wodi mu no aso ma wɔtaa Paulo ne Barnaba, pam wɔn fii ɔman no mu.
But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 Enti asomafo no poroporow wɔn anan ase mfutuma guu wɔn so fii hɔ kɔɔ Ikoniom.
But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 Anigye ne Honhom Kronkron hyɛɛ asuafo a na wɔwɔ Antiokia no ma.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
