< 2 Timoteo 1 >
1 Saa nhoma yi fi Paulo a ɔyɛ Kristo Yesu somafo no nkyɛn. Onyankopɔn ankasa na ɔfrɛɛ me sɛ ɔsomafo, na ɔde nkwa a ɔhyɛ ho bɔ a ɛnam Kristo Yesu mu gyidi so de brɛ mo.
Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus, by the will of God, for proclaiming the promise of the Life which is in Christ Jesus:
2 Mede kɔma me dɔba Timoteo: Adom, mmɔborɔhunu ne asomdwoe mfi Agya Nyankopɔn ne yɛn Awurade Kristo Yesu nka wo.
To Timothy my dearly-loved child. May grace, mercy and peace be granted to you from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Meda Onyankopɔn a mede adwene mu fann som no sɛnea me mpanyimfo yɛe no ase. Daa, anadwo ne awia, mekae wo wɔ me mpaebɔ mu.
I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience--as my forefathers did--that night and day I unceasingly remember you in my prayers,
4 Mekae wo nisutew bere a yɛredi mpaapaemu no a, ɛma mʼani gyina wo. Enti sɛ mihu wo bio a mʼani begye.
being always mindful of your tears, and longing to see you that I may be filled with joy.
5 Wɔkae me wo nokware gyidi a efii ase wɔ wo nenabea Lois ne wo na Eunike mu no, na magye ato mu sɛ mprempren ɛwɔ wo nso mu bi saa ara.
For I recall the sincere faith which is in your heart--a faith which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and then in your mother Eunice, and, I am fully convinced, now dwells in you also.
6 Eyi nti merebɔ wo nkae sɛ, kae akyɛde a bere a mede me nsa guu wo so no Onyankopɔn de maa wo no.
For this reason let me remind you to rekindle God's gift which is yours through the laying on of my hands.
7 Efisɛ Honhom a Onyankopɔn de maa yɛn no mma yɛnyɛ ahufo, na mmom Honhom no ma yɛn tumi, ɔdɔ ne ahohyɛso.
For the Spirit which God has given us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of sound judgement.
8 Mma wʼani nnwu wɔ Awurade adansedi, ne me a meyɛ ne deduani no ho. Na sɛ ɔhaw bi to wo wɔ Asɛmpa no ka ho a, gyina pintinn wɔ ahoɔden a Onyankopɔn de ama wo no mu.
Do not be ashamed then to bear witness for our Lord and for me His prisoner; but rather share suffering with me in the service of the Good News, strengthened by the power of God.
9 Ogyee yɛn nkwa frɛɛ yɛn se yɛmmɛyɛ ne de. Ɛnyɛ biribi pa bi a yɛyɛ nti, na mmom nʼadom ara kwa. Ansa na wɔrehyɛ wiase ase no na ɔnam Kristo Yesu so kyɛɛ yɛn saa adom no, (aiōnios )
For He saved us and called us with a holy call, not in accordance with our desserts, but in accordance with His own purpose and the free grace which He bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before the commencement of the Ages, (aiōnios )
10 nanso mprempren wɔnam Agyenkwa Kristo Yesu no ba a ɔbɛba no so ada no adi akyerɛ yɛn. Kristo, yɛn Agyenkwa dii owu so nkonim, na ɔde anigyesɛm a ɛhyerɛn te sɛ kanea, na ɛma nkwa a enni awiei brɛɛ yɛn.
but which has now been plainly revealed through the Appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus. He has put an end to death and has brought Life and Immortality to light through the Good News,
11 Onyankopɔn ayi me sɛ ɔsomafo ne ɔkyerɛkyerɛfo sɛ menna Asɛmpa no adi.
of which I have been appointed a preacher, Apostle and teacher, to the Gentiles.
12 Ɛnam eyinom so nti na mihu saa amane yi. Nanso meda so wɔ gyidi, efisɛ minim nea mede me ho to no so no, na minim nso sɛ ɔbɛkora nea mede ahyɛ ne nsa no ama da no nso.
That indeed is the reason why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know in whom my trust reposes, and I am confident that He has it in His power to keep what I have entrusted to Him safe until that day.
13 So nokwasɛm a mekyerɛɛ wo no mu yiye na fa yɛ nhwɛsode, na tena gyidi ne ɔdɔ a ɛyɛ yɛn de wɔ Kristo Yesu mu no mu.
Provide yourself with an outline of the sound teaching which you have heard from my lips, and be true to the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
14 Wɔde ademude a ɛsom bo ahyɛ wo nsa. Fa Honhom Kronkron a ɔte wo mu no mmoa bɔ ho ban.
That precious treasure which is in your charge, guard through the Holy Spirit who has His home in our hearts.
15 Sɛnea wunim no, Kristofo a wofi Asia baa ha no nyinaa aguan agya me. Figelo ne Hermogene nso ka wɔn ho.
Of this you are aware, that all the Christians in Roman Asia have deserted me: and among them Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 Awurade nhu Onesiforo fifo mmɔbɔ, efisɛ ɔhyɛɛ me nkuran mpɛn bebree. Nʼani anwu wɔ me ho sɛ mada afiase pɛn,
May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus; for many a time he cheered me and he was not ashamed of my chain.
17 na oduu Roma pɛ, na ɔbɔɔ mmɔden hwehwɛɛ me ara kosii sɛ ohuu me.
Nay, when he was here in Rome, he took great pains to inquire where I was living, and at last he found me.
18 Awurade mmoa no na da no, onya ahummɔbɔ mfi Awurade no nkyɛn! Wunim akwan ahorow a ɔfaa so boaa me wɔ Efeso.
(The Lord grant that he may obtain mercy at His hands on that day!) And you yourself well know all the services which he rendered me in Ephesus.
