< 2 Tesalonikafo 3 >
1 Anuanom, asɛm a etwa to ne sɛ mommɔ mpae mma yɛn, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Awurade asɛm bɛkɔ so atrɛw ntɛm te sɛnea ɛyɛɛ wɔ mo mu no.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have [free] course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you:
2 Afei mommɔ mpae mma yɛn, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Onyankopɔn beyi yɛn afi abɔnefo ne nsɛmmɔnedifo nsam. Efisɛ ɛnyɛ nnipa nyinaa na wogye asɛm no di.
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith.
3 Nanso Awurade yɛ ɔnokwafo. Ɔbɛhyɛ mo den na wagye mo afi ɔbɔnefo no nsam.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.
4 Awurade ama yɛn mo mu anidaso. Yɛwɔ anidaso sɛ moreyɛ na mobɛkɔ so ayɛ biribiara a yɛbɛkyerɛ mo sɛ monyɛ no.
And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 Awurade nka mo ho na munnya ɔdɔ koma sɛ Onyankopɔn, ne abodwokyɛre sɛ Kristo.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Anuanom, yɛhyɛ mo wɔ Awurade Yesu Kristo din mu sɛ, montwe mo ho mfi anuanom a wodi anihaw na wonni mmara a wɔahyɛ ama wɔn no so no ho.
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 Mo ankasa munim pefee sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ moyɛ nea yɛyɛe no bi pɛpɛɛpɛ. Bere a na yɛwɔ mo nkyɛn no, yɛanyɛ anihaw.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Obi ammoa yɛn a yɛantua onii no ka. Yɛyɛɛ adwuma denneennen. Awia ne anadwo nyinaa yɛyɛɛ adwuma sɛnea yɛremfa sikasɛm biara nhaw mo adwene.
Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Eyi nkyerɛ sɛ na yenni ho kwan sɛ yebisa mo biribi de boa yɛn asetena. Yɛyɛɛ saa de yɛɛ nhwɛso maa mo.
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 Yɛwɔ mo nkyɛn no, yɛka kyerɛɛ mo se, “Obiara a ɔmpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ adwuma no, ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔma odidi.”
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 Yɛka saa asɛm yi, efisɛ yɛte sɛ mo mu bi yɛ anihawfo a wɔnyɛ hwee sɛ wɔnenam nkurɔfo nnwuma so.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Yɛde Awurade Yesu Kristo din hyɛ wɔn, bɔ wɔn kɔkɔ sɛ wɔmmɔ ɔbra pa na wɔnyɛ adwuma mfa mmɔ wɔn ho akɔnhama.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 Anuanom munnnyae papayɛ da.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 Obi wɔ hɔ a ɔrentie nhoma a yɛakyerɛw abrɛ mo yi mu nsɛm. Sɛ muhu obi saa a, monhwɛ no yiye na montwe mo ho mfi ne ho na nʼani nwu.
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Nanso mommfa saa onipa no sɛ ɔyɛ ɔtamfo na mmom mommɔ no kɔkɔ sɛ mo nua.
Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.
16 Na ɔno asomdwoe Awurade no ara mma mo asomdwoe daa ade nyinaa mu. Awurade ne mo nyinaa ntena.
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.
17 Me ara me Paulo, me nsa ano nkyerɛw a menam so rekyia mo ni. Saa ɔkwan yi ara so na mefa kyerɛw nhoma.
The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
18 Yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo adom nka mo nyinaa.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
