< 2 Samuel 10 >

And it was after thus and he died [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he reigned Hanun son his in place his.

And he said David I will do covenant loyalty - with Hanun [the] son of Nahash just as he did father his with me covenant loyalty and he sent David to comfort him by [the] hand of servants his concerning father his and they came [the] servants of David [the] land of [the] people of Ammon.
3 Amonfo atitiriw no kobisaa wɔn wura Hanun se, “Wugye di sɛ ba a Dawid somaa nʼabɔfo baa wo nkyɛn bɛmaa wo hyɛden no kyerɛ nidi ampa ara ana? Wunnye nni sɛ Dawid somaa wɔn akwansra so, sɛ wɔmmɛhwɛ wo kuropɔn na wɔabetu agu?”
And they said [the] leaders of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun lord their ¿ honoring [is] David father your in view your for he has sent to you comforters ¿ not in order to explore the city and to spy on it and to overthrow it has he sent David servants his to you.
4 Ɛno nti, Hanun kyeree Dawid abɔfo no, yii obiara abogyesɛ fa, twitwaa wɔn ntade to mfimfini hɔ, tutuu mu, na wogyaa wɔn kwan, ma wɔde animguase kɔe.
And he took Hanun [the] servants of David and he shaved half of beard their and he cut off robes their at the middle to buttocks their and he sent away them.
5 Bere a wɔbɔɔ Dawid amanneɛ no, otuu abɔfo ma wokohyiaa mmarima no, efisɛ woguu wɔn anim ase yiye. Ɔhene ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Montena Yeriko kosi sɛ mo abogyesɛ befuw ansa na moasan aba.”
And people told to David and he sent to meet them for they were the men humiliated very and he said the king remain at Jericho until it will grow back beard your and you will return.

And they saw [the] people of Ammon that they had made themselves odious with David and they sent [the] people of Ammon and they hired Aram Beth Rehob and Aram Zobah twenty thousand foot soldier[s] and [the] king of Maacah one thousand man and [the] man of Tob two [plus] ten thousand man.
7 Dawid tee saa no, ɔkaa Yoab ne akofo asraafo guu mu.
And he heard David and he sent Joab and all the army the warriors.
8 Amonfo no gyinaa wɔn kurow pon ano. Saa bere no na Aramfo a wofi Soba ne Rehob ne mmarima a wofi Tob ne Maaka no wɔ mfikyiri baabiara retwɛn ɔtamfo no.
And they went out [the] people of Ammon and they deployed battle [the] entrance of the gate and Aram Zobah and Rehob and [the] man of Tob and Maacah to alone them [were] in the open country.
9 Bere a Yoab huu sɛ ɔrebɛko akofanu no, oyii asraafo a wɔyɛ nnam. Ɔno ara dii wɔn so safohene, dii wɔn anim, kɔko tiaa Aramfo no wɔ mfikyiri hɔ.
And he saw Joab that it was against him [the] face of the battle from before and from behind and he chose some of all [the] chosen [men] (of Israel *Q(K)*) and he deployed [them] to meet Aram.
10 Ogyaw asraafo no nkae hɔ, de wɔn hyɛɛ ne nuabarima Abisai nsa sɛ ɔsafohene a ɔbɛkɔ akotua Amonfo no.
And [the] rest of the people he put in [the] hand of Abishai brother his and he deployed [them] to meet [the] people of Ammon.
11 Yoab ka kyerɛɛ ne nuabarima no se, “Sɛ Aramfo no yɛ den dodo ma me a, ɛyɛ a, bɛboa me. Na sɛ Amonfo no nso yɛ den dodo ma wo a, me nso, mɛba abɛboa wo.
And he said if it will be [too] strong Aram for me and you will become of me deliverance and if [the] people of Ammon they will be [too] strong for you and I will come to deliver you.
12 Ma wo bo nyɛ duru. Ma yɛnko akokoduru so mfa nnye yɛn nkurɔfo ne Onyankopɔn nkurow. Awurade pɛ nyɛ hɔ.”
Be strong so we may show ourselves strong for people our and for [the] cities of God our and Yahweh he will do the good in view his.
13 Bere a Yoab ne nʼakofo no tow hyɛɛ Aramfo no so no, wofii ase guanee.
And he drew near Joab and the people which [was] with him for battle in Aram and they fled from before him.
14 Na Amonfo no huu sɛ Aramfo no reguan no, woguan fii Abisai ho kɔhyɛɛ kurow no mu. Ɔko no gui no, Yoab san kɔɔ Yerusalem.
And [the] people of Ammon they saw that it had fled Aram and they fled from before Abishai and they went the city and he returned Joab from on [the] people of Ammon and he came Jerusalem.
15 Afei, Aramfo no huu sɛ ɛnyɛ wɔn afɛ ne Israelfo. Enti wɔboaa wɔn ho ano bio.
And it saw Aram that it was defeated before Israel and they gathered themselves together.
16 Aram asraafo foforo bi bɛkaa wɔn ho a Hadadeser na ɔsoma ma wɔkɔfaa wɔn fii Asubɔnten Eufrate fa nohɔ bae. Saa asraafo no beduu Helam a Sobak na na ɔyɛ wɔn ɔsahene, na ɔyɛ ɔsahene a otua Hadadeser asraafo nyinaa ano nso.
And he sent Hadadezer and he brought out Aram which [was] from [the] other side of the River and they came Helam and Shobach [the] commander of [the] army of Hadadezer [was] before them.
17 Bere a Dawid tee nea ɛreba no, ɔboaboaa Israel nyinaa ano, de wɔn twaa Asubɔnten Yordan, dii asraafo no anim, koduu Helam. Ɛhɔ na Aramfo no fifii wɔn mpasua so tow hyɛɛ Dawid so.
And it was told to David. And he gathered all Israel and he passed over the Jordan and he came Helam towards and they deployed Aram to meet David and they did battle with him.

And it fled Aram from before Israel and he killed David of Aram seven hundred charioteer[s] and forty thousand horsemen and Shobach [the] commander of army its he struck down and he died there.
19 Bere a ahemfo a wɔhyɛ Hadadeser ase no huu sɛ Israel adi wɔn so nkonim no, wɔmaa wɔn nsa so, na wɔbɛyɛɛ Israelfo nkoa. Ɛno akyi no, Aramfo suroo sɛ wɔbɛboa Amonfo.
And they saw all the kings [the] servants of Hadadezer that they were defeated before Israel and they made peace with Israel and they served them and they were afraid Aram to deliver again [the] people of Ammon.
