< 2 Petro 1 >
1 Saa krataa yi fi Simon Petro a ɔyɛ Yesu Kristo somfo ne ne somafo nkyɛn, Ɔde rekɔma wɔn a esiane yɛn Nyankopɔn ne yɛn Agyenkwa Yesu Kristo trenee nti, wɔama wɔn gyidi a ɛsom bo te sɛ yɛn de no ara pɛ no:
Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received the same precious faith as we have received, faith in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Adom ne asomdwoe a ɛdɔɔso a efi Onyankopɔn ne Yesu a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade no mmra mo so.
May grace and peace increase in measure in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
All the things concerning divine power for life and godliness have been given to us through the knowledge of God, who called us through his own glory and excellence.
4 Ɔnam nʼanuonyam ne nnepa so ahyɛ yɛn bɔ a ɛsom bo yiye. Ɛno nti, mobɛyɛ ne nyameyɛ no adedifo na moafi nea wiase yi porɔwee a akɔnnɔ bɔne de ba no mu.
Through these, he gave us precious and great promises, so that you might be sharers in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world that is caused by evil desires.
5 Esiane saa nti, mommɔ mmɔden mfa nneyɛe a ɛho tew nka mo gyidi ho; na momfa nimdeɛ nka nneyɛe a ɛho tew ho;
For this reason, do your best to add goodness to your faith; and to goodness add knowledge;
6 na momfa ahohyɛso nka mo nimdeɛ ho; na momfa boasetɔ nka mo ahohyɛso ho; na momfa nyamesom pa nka mo boasetɔ ho;
to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness;
7 na momfa onuadɔ nka nyamesom pa ho, na momfa ɔdɔ ankasa nka onuadɔ ho.
to godliness add brotherly affection; and to brotherly affection add love.
8 Eyinom ne su pa a ɛho hia mo. Na sɛ munya ma ɛdɔɔso a, ɛbɛma mo ayɛ nnam wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo ho nimdeɛ mu.
If these things are in you and grow in you, you will not be barren or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Na obiara a onni bi no yɛ onifuraefo a ontumi nhu ade. Ne werɛ afi sɛ wɔahohoro ne ho afi ne bɔne dedaw no mu.
But whoever lacks these things is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten he has been cleansed from his past sins.
10 Enti me nuanom adɔfo, monyere mo ho wɔ dwuma no di mu, na enni mo ho adanse ampa ara sɛ Onyankopɔn afrɛ mo, ayi mo atena hɔ afebɔɔ. Sɛ moyɛ saa a, morenhintiw na morempa abaw nso.
Therefore, brothers, do your best to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you will not stumble.
11 Sɛ mofa saa ɔkwan yi so a, wɔbɛma mo akɔ yɛn Awurade ne yɛn Agyenkwa Yesu Kristo Ahenni a ɛto ntwa da no mu. (aiōnios )
In this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
12 Ne saa nti daa mekaakae mo saa asɛm yi a munim na ase atim wɔ nokware a moagye adi no mu no.
Therefore I will always be ready to remind you of these things, although you know them, and although you are strong in the truth you now have.
13 Misusuw sɛ, eye sɛ mmere dodow a mete ase yi, mɛbɔ mo nkae wɔ saa asɛm yi ho.
It is proper for me to think, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by way of reminder.
14 Minim sɛ ɛrenkyɛ biara megyaw saa ɔhonam yi hɔ sɛnea yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo daa no adi kyerɛɛ me no.
For I know that the putting off of my tent will be soon, because our Lord Jesus Christ has revealed this to me.
15 Mɛbɔ mmɔden sɛ mɛfa ɔkwan bi so ama moakae saa nsɛm yi bere biara wɔ me wu akyi.
I will make every effort to see that after my departure you may be always able to remember these things.
16 Ɛnyɛ anansesɛm na yɛte bɛka kyerɛɛ mo wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo tumi ne ba a ɔrebɛba no ho, na mmom yɛahu na yedi ne kɛseyɛ no ho adanse.
For we did not follow cleverly invented myths when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 Yɛwɔ hɔ bi na Agya Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ no anuonyam bere a nne bi fii Anuonyam kɛse mu kae se, “Oyi ne me Dɔba a ɔsɔ mʼani!” no.
For he received honor and glory from God the Father when a voice was brought to him by the Majestic Glory saying, “This is my beloved Son, with him I am well pleased.”
18 Yɛn ankasa tee nne no sɛ efi ɔsoro reba bere a na yɛne no wɔ Bepɔw Kronkron no so no.
We ourselves heard this voice brought from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
19 Ɛno nti ɛma yenya nkɔm a odiyifo no hyɛe no mu gyidi yiye. Ɛsɛ sɛ mutie no yiye efisɛ ɛte sɛ kanea a ɛhyerɛn wɔ sum mu kosi da a ade bɛkyɛ ama anɔpa nsoromma ahyerɛn wɔ mo koma mu no.
For we have this prophetic word made more sure, and you do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
20 Eyinom nyinaa akyi no, monkae saa asɛm yi: Obiara nni hɔ a ɔnam nʼankasa so betumi akyerɛ Kyerɛwsɛm mu nkɔmhyɛ ase.
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy comes from someone's own interpretation.
21 Na nkɔmhyɛ biara mfi onipa pɛ mu, na mmom, Honhom Kronkron tumi mu na nnipa ka asɛm a efi Onyankopɔn.
For no prophecy was ever brought by the will of man, but men spoke from God when they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
