< 2 Petro 2 >
1 Atoro adiyifo kɔɔ tetefo no mu, na saa ara nso na atoro adiyifo bɛba mo mu ara ne no. Wɔbɛma nkyerɛkyerɛ bɔne a nokware nni mu na wɔapa Owura a ogyee wɔn no, na ɛnam so ama ɔsɛe aba wɔn so prɛko pɛ.
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you; who will privately introduce destructive sects, denying even the Lord who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
2 Nnipa bebree bɛfa akwammɔne so na esiane nea wɔyɛ no nti, nnipa bɛkasa atia nokware kwan no.
And many will follow their lewd practices, on account of whom, they way of truth will be evil spoken of.
3 Saa atoro adiyifo yi nam wɔn sikanibere so bɛto anansesɛm akyerɛ mo de apɛ mo so mfaso. Wɔn temmufo siesiee ne ho akyɛ, na saa ara nso na wɔn sɛefo no nso asɔre agyina.
And through covetousness, they will make merchandise of you, by fictitious tales: to whom the punishment threatened of old lingers not, and their destruction slumbers not.
4 Onyankopɔn amfa abɔfo a wɔyɛɛ bɔne no ho ankyɛ wɔn. Ɔtow wɔn guu asaman sum mu baabi, guu wɔn nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn, na ɛhɔ na wɔretwɛn atemmu no. (Tartaroō )
For God, indeed, did not spare the angels who sinned, but with chains of darkness confining them in Tartarus, delivered them over to be kept for judgment; (Tartaroō )
5 Onyankopɔn amma tete wiase no amfa ne ho anni. Ɔmaa nsuyiri baa wɔn a na wonsuro Onyankopɔn no so. Wɔn a ogyee wɔn nkwa no ne Noa a ɔkaa trenee ho asɛm no ne nnipa baason bi.
and did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth, a proclaimer of righteousness, when he brought the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 Onyankopɔn buu Sodom ne Gomora fɔ de ogya sɛee wɔn, de bɔɔ wɔn a wonsuro Onyankopɔn no kɔkɔ.
and having reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, punished them with an overthrow, making them an example to those who should afterward live ungodly:
7 Ogyee Lot a ɔyɛ ɔtreneeni no fii nnipa nnebɔneyɛfo nsam.
and rescued righteous Lot, exceedingly grieved by the lewd behavior of the lawless:
8 Na saa ɔtreneeni no te saa nnipa nnebɔneyɛfo no mu; na afide a na saa nnipa no yɛ no adekyee ne adesae no haw no yiye.
(for; --that righteous man, dwelling among them, by the sight and report of their unlawful deeds, tormented his righteous soul from day to day; )
9 Sɛ ɛte saa de a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ Awurade nim ɔkwan a ɔfa so gye nʼakyidifo fi ɔhaw mu, na onim ɔkwan a ɔfa so kora nnipa nnebɔneyɛfo, twe wɔn aso de twɛn atemmuda no.
the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unrighteous to a day of judgment to be punished;
10 Ne titiriw no, eyi fa wɔn a wodi wɔn honam akɔnnɔ akyi na wɔpa Onyankopɔn tumi no ho. Saa atoro akyerɛkyerɛfo yi wɔ akokoduru na wommu anuonyamfo a wɔwɔ ɔsoro no, efisɛ wonsuro sɛ wɔyaw wɔn.
but especially those who go after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and who despise government: being audacious, self-willed, who fear not to revile dignitaries;
11 Na abɔfo a wɔwɔ ahoɔden ne tumi sen saa atoro akyerɛkyerɛfo yi mpo nka nsɛmmɔne mmu wɔn atɛn wɔ Awurade anim.
whereas, angels, who are greater in strength and power, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
12 Nanso saa nnipa yi yɛ wɔn nneɛma te sɛ mmoa a wunni adwene, wɔwo wɔn sɛ wɔnkyere wɔn nkum wɔn. Wogu nneɛma biara a wɔnte ase no ho fi. Wɔbɛsɛe wɔn sɛ mmoa.
But these, as natural, irrational animals, made for capture and destruction, speaking evil of matters which they do not understand, shall be utterly destroyed by their own corruptions;
13 Wobetua wɔn ɔhaw a wɔma ɛbaa no so ka. Nea wɔn ani gye ho ne sɛ wɔbɛyɛ biribiara a eye ma wɔn honam akɔnnɔ no awia ketee. Sɛ wɔne mo to nsa didi a, egu wɔn anim ase. Efisɛ saa bere no na wɔka nnaadaasɛm.
receiving the due reward of unrighteousness. These delight to spend the day in luxurious festivity: they are spots and blemishes, reveling in their deceits when they feast with you;
14 Wɔnhwehwɛ hwee sɛ mmea nguamanfo efisɛ wɔpɛ sɛ daa wɔyɛ bɔne. Wɔdaadaa nnipa a wɔyɛ mmerɛw kɔ bɔne mu. Wɔayɛn wɔn koma ama anibere. Wɔwɔ Onyankopɔn nnome ase.
having eyes full of the adulteress, incessantly sinning, alluring unstable souls; having a heart exercised with insatiable desires; an accursed progeny:
15 Wɔaman afi ɔkwan tee no so enti wɔayera. Wɔafa ɔkwan a Beor ba Bileam a ɔde ne sika a onya no yɛ bɔne no kɔfaa so no so.
having forsaken the right path, they have wandered, following in the way of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,
16 Eyi ma wɔkaa nʼanim wɔ ne bɔne no ho. Nʼafurum de onipa nne kasa de siw odiyifo no adammɔsɛm no ho kwan.
and was convicted of his transgression; the dumb brute, speaking with man's voice, reprimanded the madness of the prophet.
17 Saa nnipa yi te sɛ asuti a ayow anaasɛ omununkum a mframa bɔ no. Onyankopɔn de wɔn asie sum kabii mu wɔ baabi. ()
These are wells without water, clouds driven by a tempest; for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved forever:
18 Wɔka ahantansɛm ne nkwaseasɛm na wɔnam wɔn honam akɔnnɔ ho nnaadaa so twetwe wɔn a wɔatwe wɔn ho afi nnebɔneyɛfo ho no.
for, speaking great swelling words of falsehood, they allure by the lusts of the flesh, even by lasciviousness, those who have actually fled away from them who are living in error.
19 Wɔhyɛ wɔn ahofadi ho bɔ wɔ bere a wɔn ankasa yɛ bɔne nkoa efisɛ onipa yɛ biribiara a edi no so no akoa.
They promise them liberty, whilst they themselves are slaves of corruption: for every one is enslaved by that which overcomes him.
20 Na sɛ onipa sua yɛn Awurade ne yɛn Agyenkwa Yesu Kristo ho asɛm, na ɔnam so guan fi wiase yi mu akwammɔne so, na akyiri no ɔkɔ bɔne mu bio ma ɔdan bɔne akoa a, ɛno de ɛyɛ hu sen ne kan no.
Now, if, having fled away from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and being again entangled, they are overcome by them; their last condition is worse than the first.
21 Sɛ anka wonnim Kristo koraa a, anka eye ma wɔn sen sɛ wobesua ne ho nsɛm na afei wɔbɛdan wɔn akyi akyerɛ mmara Kronkron a wɔde maa wɔn no.
Therefore, it has been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 Nea ɛbaa wɔn so no kyerɛ sɛ, saa bɛ yi yɛ nokware. “Ɔkraman san kɔtaforo ne fe na prako a wɔaguare no no nso koguare wɔ dontori mu.”
But the saying of the true proverb has happened to them: "The dog is returned to his own vomit; and the washed hog, to its wallowing in the mire."
