< 2 Korintofo 8 >
1 Anuanom, yɛpɛ sɛ muhu nea Onyankopɔn adom ayɛ wɔ Makedonia asafo ahorow no mu.
Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God which hath been bestowed in the churches of Macedonia;
2 Wɔn ahokyere mu no wɔn anigye boroo so, na wɔn hia mu mpo, wuyii ayamye kɛse kyerɛe.
that under a great trial of distress the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty increased the riches of their liberality;
3 Midi ho adanse sɛ wɔmaa nea wobetumi ma ɛboroo so mpo. Wɔn ara fii wɔn pɛ mu
for according to their power, I bear witness, and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,
4 srɛɛ yɛn sɛ yɛmma wɔmfa sika no nkɔma Kristofo a wɔwɔ Yudea no bi.
begging of us with much entreaty the favor of sharing in the ministration to the saints;
5 Wɔyɛ ma ɛboroo so. Nea edi kan no, wɔde wɔn ho maa Awurade. Afei wofi Onyankopɔn pɛ mu de wɔn ho maa yɛn nso.
and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us by the will of God;
6 Enti yɛka kyerɛɛ Tito a ofii adwuma yi ase se ɔntoa so na ɔmmoa mo na moatumi awie saa ɔdɔ adwuma yi.
so that we urged Titus, that, as he had already made a beginning, so he would also finish among you this bounty also.
7 Moyɛ adefo wɔ nea mowɔ nyinaa mu: ɔkasa mu ne nimdeɛ mu, mmoa a ɛyɛ mo pɛ sɛ moboa ne ɔdɔ a mode dɔ yɛn mu. Enti yɛpɛ sɛ mode ahofama som wɔ ɔdɔ mu.
But as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this exercise of liberality also.
8 Merenhyehyɛ mmara mma mo. Na mmom mepɛ sɛ mede mo dɔ a mowɔ no toto afoforo de ho hwɛ sɛ mo dɔ no yɛ ɔdɔ kann ana.
I speak not by way of command, but by reason of the earnestness of others, and to prove the genuineness of your love.
9 Munim adom a na yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo wɔ. Ɔdefo a na ɔyɛ no nyinaa akyi no, mo nti ɔyɛɛ ne ho ohiani sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a ɔnam ne hia no so bɛma moayɛ adefo.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
10 Mʼadwene a mewɔ wɔ asɛm no ho ni: Afe a etwaa mu no, mo na mudii kan fii mo pɛ mu yɛɛ ayɛ.
And I only give an opinion in this matter. For this is expedient for you, who began before others, not only to do, but also to be willing, a year ago.
11 Monkɔ so na munnwie dwuma no di. Mommma mo ho mpere mo sɛ mubewie sɛnea mususuwii sɛ mobɛyɛ no.
Now therefore perform the doing of it, that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
12 Sɛ wo ho pere wo sɛ wobɛma a, Onyankopɔn nam nea wowɔ so begye, na ɛnyɛ nea wunni so.
For if there be first the willing mind, it is accepted according to what a man hath, not according to what he hath not.
13 Merennye nkurɔfo nnesoa mmegu mo so na mmom, esiane sɛ mowɔ bebree saa bere yi mu no nti, ɛyɛ fɛ sɛ moboa wɔn a wonni bi no.
For it is not that others may be eased, and you burdened,
14 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ biribi ho hia mo na sɛ wɔwɔ bi a, wɔaboa mo. Eyi ma mo nyinaa yɛ pɛ.
but to make an equality; at the present season your abundance meeting their deficiency, that their abundance may at another time meet your deficiency; that there may be equality;
15 Sɛnea Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Onipa a ɔboaboaa dodow ano no annya ammoro so, na nea ɔboaboaa kakraa bi ano no nyaa nea ɛbɛso no.”
as it is written: “He that gathered much, had nothing over; and he that gathered little, had no lack.”
16 Yɛda Onyankopɔn ase sɛ wama anigye a mewɔ wɔ mo ho no bi awura Tito koma mu.
But thanks be to God, who put the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus;
17 Ɛnyɛ sɛ ɔpenee yɛn abisade so nko, na mmom ɔno ankasa fii ne pɛ mu pɛɛ sɛ ɔboa nti na osii nʼadwene pi sɛ ɔbɛba mo nkyɛn no.
for he accepted indeed the exhortation; but being very earnest, he went of his own accord to you.
18 Yɛresoma onua bi a wobu no wɔ asafo ahorow no nyinaa mu wɔ asɛnka adwuma no ho aka ne ho.
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise in the gospel is throughout all the churches;
19 Ɛno akyi no, asafo ahorow no ayi onua yi sɛ ɔne yɛn ntutu akwan wɔ mmere a yɛredi ɔdɔ ho dwuma de ahyɛ Awurade anuonyam yi, na yɛmfa nkyerɛ nso sɛ yɛpɛ sɛ yɛboa.
and not that only, but who was also appointed by the churches as our fellow-traveler in the matter of this bounty, which is administered by us to the honor of the Lord himself, and of our ready mind;
20 Yɛhwɛ yɛn ho so yiye sɛ asɛm biara remma ɔkwan a yɛbɛfa so de saa akyɛde yi adi dwuma no ho.
since we are careful of this, that no one should blame us in our management of this abundant liberality;
21 Yɛn botae ne sɛ yɛbɛyɛ nea eye wɔ Awurade ne nnipa anim.
for we take forethought for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
22 Enti yɛresoma onipa foforo bi aka Tito ne osuani baako no ho. Yɛasɔ no ahwɛ wɔ akwan ahorow bebree so na yɛahu sɛ ɛyɛ ne pɛ sɛ ɔboa. Na mprempren ne ho pere no sɛ ɔbɛboa efisɛ wanya mo mu ahotoso.
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have often in many things proved to be zealous, but now much more zealous through the great confidence which he hath in you.
23 Tito de, ɔyɛ me boafo a ɔne me yɛ adwuma de boa mo, na anuanom a wɔne no rekɔ no de, wɔyɛ asɔre ahorow ananmusifo a wɔhyɛ Kristo anuonyam.
As to Titus, he is my partner and fellow-laborer for you; as to our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.
24 Momma wonhu ɔdɔ a modɔ wɔn sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a asafo no nyinaa behu sɛ hoa a yɛde mo hoahoa yɛn ho no yɛ nokware.
Display to them, therefore, before the churches, the proof of your love, and of what we have boasted on your behalf.
