< 2 Korintofo 1 >
1 Saa krataa yi fi Paulo a Onyankopɔn ayi no sɛ Kristo Yesu somafo no ne Timoteo a ɔyɛ yɛn nuanom no mu baako nkyɛn, Wɔde saa krataa yi rekɔma Onyankopɔn asafo a ɛwɔ Korinto ne ahotefo a wɔwɔ Akaiaman mu no nyinaa:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy [our] brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia:
2 Adom ne asomdwoe a efi yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
Grace [be] to you and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Momma yɛnna Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo Agya a ɔyɛ mmɔborɔhunu Agya na ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn a awerɛkyekye nyinaa fi no no ase.
Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation.
4 Ɔkyekye yɛn werɛ wɔ yɛn amane nyinaa mu na yɛnam awerɛkyekye a yɛn ankasa anya afi Onyankopɔn nkyɛn no so atumi akyekye afoforo a wɔwɔ amane ahorow mu no werɛ.
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble by the consolation with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 Sɛnea yɛahu amane wɔ Kristo mu no, saa ara nso na yenya Kristo awerɛkyekye a ɛdɔɔso no.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
6 Mo awerɛkyekye ne mo nkwagye nti yehu amane. Efisɛ sɛ Kristo kyekye yɛn werɛ a yɛn nso yɛnam so betumi akyekye mo werɛ. Ɛno bɛma moanya ntoboase ahu amane sɛ yɛn nso.
And whether we are afflicted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we are comforted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation.
7 Enti gyidi a yɛwɔ wɔ mo mu no nhinhim. Yenim sɛ, sɛnea mo ne yɛn hu amane no, saa ara nso na munya awerɛkyekye a yenya no bi.
And our hope of you [is] steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so [shall ye be] also of the consolation.
8 Anuanom, yɛpɛ sɛ yɛtwe mo adwene ba ɔhaw a ɛtoo yɛn wɔ Asia mantam mu no so. Amane a yɛfaa mu no so, na na emu yɛ duru enti yɛn asetena mu anidaso nyinaa yerae.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life:
9 Nokware mu, yegye too mu sɛ yɛrebewu. Saa asɛm yi sii, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a yɛremfa yɛn ho nto yɛn ankasa so, na mmom yɛde yɛn ho bɛto Onyankopɔn a ɔma awufo sɔre no so.
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead:
10 Wayi yɛn afi saa owu amanehunu yi mu na ɔbɛkɔ so agye yɛn. Ɔno na yɛde yɛn ani ato no so sɛ, sɛ mokɔ so bɔ mpae ma yɛn a,
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver [us]:
11 obegye yɛn bio. Eyi kyerɛ sɛ obebua mpae dodow biara a mobɔ ma yɛn no, na Onyankopɔn behyira yɛn, na dodow no ara ama wɔn nne so de ada no ase ama yɛn.
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift [bestowed] upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
12 Yɛhoahoa yɛn ho sɛ yɛn ahonim mmu yɛn fɔ, yɛatena ase nokwaredi mu, ne titiriw ne bere a yɛwɔ mo nkyɛn no. Ɛnyɛ wiase nyansa na ɛkyerɛ yɛn kwan. Mmom, yɛn akwankyerɛ fi Onyankopɔn adom no mu.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our manner of life in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
13 Nsɛm a mubetumi akenkan ate ase nko na yɛkyerɛw de brɛ mo. Mewɔ anidaso sɛ mobɛte biribiara a
For we write no other things to you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye will acknowledge even to the end;
14 monte ase yiye no ase daakye sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a da a Awurade Yesu bɛba no, mode yɛn bɛhoahoa mo ho na yɛn nso yɛde mo ahoahoa yɛn ho.
As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also [are] ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
15 Na minim sɛ saa asɛm yi bɛba mu. Ɛno nti na mehyehyɛɛ sɛ mɛba abɛsra mo na moanya nhyira mprenu.
And in this confidence I purposed to come to you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
16 Meyɛɛ mʼadwene sɛ, sɛ merekɔ Makedonia a mɛba mo nkyɛn, na meresan nso a, mafa mo nkyɛn ansa na makɔ Yudea.
And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again from Macedonia to you, and by you to be brought on my way towards Judea.
17 Modwene sɛ mantumi ansi mʼadwene pi wɔ nea ɛsɛ sɛ meyɛ hoa ana? Anaasɛ mete sɛ obi a ɔka se “Yiw” anaa “Dabi” sɛnea ɛbɛsɔ afoforo ani?
When I therefore was thus minded, did I use levity? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea, yea, and nay, nay?
18 Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔnokwafo. Enti sɛ meka se yɛn mmuae yɛ “Yiw” bere biara a ɛyɛ “Yiw”, ɛnyɛ “Dabi” da.
But [as] God [is] true, our word towards you was not yea and nay.
19 Efisɛ Yesu Kristo, Onyankopɔn Ba no a me Paulo, Silas ne Timoteo kaa ne ho asɛm kyerɛɛ mo no nsesa. Ɔnka “Yiw” ne “Dabi” da. Bere biara odi nʼasɛm so.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, [even] by me, and Silvanus, and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
20 Ɔno mu na Onyankopɔn bɔhyɛ nyinaa awie pɛyɛ. Eyi nti yɛnam Yesu Kristo so ka “Amen” de hyɛ Onyankopɔn anuonyam.
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, to the glory of God by us.
21 Afei Onyankopɔn no ankasa na ɔma yɛne mo tumi gyina pintinn wɔ Kristo mu. Ɔno na ɔsraa yɛn
Now he who establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God;
22 faa yɛn sɛ ne de, na ɔde ne Honhom Kronkron no hyɛɛ yɛn koma mu de sii nea ɔwɔ ma yɛn nyinaa so dua.
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.
23 Mefrɛ Onyankopɔn sɛ mʼadanse. Onim me koma mu. Sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mubenya kwan agye mo ahome nti na mankɔ Korinto no.
Moreover, I call God for a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I have not as yet come to Corinth.
24 Ɛnyɛ yɛn adwene ne sɛ yɛbɛhyɛ mo ama moagye biribi adi, na mmom mo ahotɔ nti na yɛne mo yɛ adwuma. Efisɛ ɛnam mo ankasa gyidi so na mubegyina pintinn.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
