< 1 Timoteo 4 >

1 Honhom no si no pi sɛ, akyiri no, nnipa bi begyae gyidi no mu so. Wobedi atoro ahonhom ne ahonhommɔne nkyerɛkyerɛ akyi.
Now the Spirit expressly saith, that in latter times some shall apostatize from the faith, attending to seducing spirits,
2 Saa nkyerɛkyerɛ yi fi nyaatwomfo atorofo a wɔyɛ adwenwuifo sɛ dade a wɔato wɔ ogya mu no.
and doctrines of demons founded in the hypocrisy of liars, who are seared in their own conscience, forbidding to marry,
3 Saa nnipa no kyerɛkyerɛ se enye sɛ obi ware, na nnuan bi nso wɔ hɔ a enye sɛ onipa di. Nanso Onyankopɔn bɔɔ saa nnuan no sɛ, sɛ agyidifo a wɔahu nokware no nsa ka na wɔbɔ so mpae a, wotumi di.
and enjoining abstinence from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by those that believe and know the truth.
4 Biribiara a Onyankopɔn abɔ no ye. Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔpo biribiara, na mmom ɛsɛ sɛ wɔbɔ mpae gu ne nyinaa so.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 Efisɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm no ne mpaebɔ tew ho.
for it is sanctified by the word of God and by prayer.
6 Sɛ woma anuanom no saa nkyerɛkyerɛ yi a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ woyɛ Kristo somfo pa a wɔnam nokware ne gyidi ne nkyerɛkyerɛ pa so atetew wo.
If thou lay these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, as one brought up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which thou hast attained.
7 Nsɛe wo bere wɔ gyidihuu nsɛm ne mmerewa anansesɛm ho. Bɔ onyamesompa ho mmɔden.
But profane and groundless fables reject, and exercise thyself unto godliness.
8 Ɛwɔ mu sɛ ɔhonam mu mmɔdemmɔ ho hia de, nanso honhom mu mmɔdemmɔ ho hia wɔ akwan nyinaa mu, efisɛ ɛhyɛ yɛn nnɛ asetena ne daakye asetena ho bɔ.
For bodily exercise profiteth little, but piety is profitable unto all things, having the promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come:
9 Eyi yɛ nokwasɛm a ɛsɛ sɛ wogye to mu na wogye di.
this is a certain truth and worthy of all acceptance.
10 Ɛno nti na ɛsɛ sɛ yɛpere na yɛyɛ adwuma dennen, efisɛ yɛde yɛn anidaso ahyɛ Onyankopɔn teasefo a ɔyɛ nnipa nyinaa Agyenkwa no mu, ne titiriw wɔn a wogye asɛm no di no.
For to this end we both labour and suffer reproach, because we have hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
11 Eyinom na ɛsɛ sɛ moka ho asɛm wɔ mo nkyerɛkyerɛ no mu.
These things declare and teach.
12 Mma obiara ho kwan mma ɔmmfa wo sɛ wunnyinii nti obebu wo abomfiaa. Wo kasa mu, wo suban mu, wo dɔ mu, wo gyidi mu ne wo kronkronyɛ mu no, ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ nhwɛso pa.
Let no one have cause to despise thy youth; but he thou an example to believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Nya adagyew kenkan Kyerɛwsɛm no na ka Asɛmpa no na kyerɛkyerɛ ansa na maba.
Till I come attend to reading, to exhortation, and teaching.
14 Nnyaa honhom mu akyɛde a mpanyimfo nam nkɔmhyɛ so de wɔn nsa guu wo so a wunyaa no mu.
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 So saa nneɛma no mu yiye. Fa wo ho nyinaa ma wɔn, sɛnea ɛbɛma obiara ahu wo nkɔso.
Meditate on these things, be wholly in them, that thy proficiency may be manifest in all.
16 Hwɛ wo ho so yiye na hwɛ wo nkyerɛkyerɛ nso so. Kɔ so yɛ saa nneɛma yi nyinaa, efisɛ sɛ woyɛ saa a, wubegye wo ho ne wɔn a wotie wo no nkwa.
Take heed to thyself, and to thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this, thou wilt both save thyself and those that hear thee.
