< 1 Timoteo 2 >
1 Mʼafotu ne sɛ, nea edi kan no mehyɛ mo sɛ monsrɛ, mommɔ mpae, mummisa na monna Onyankopɔn ase mma nnipa nyinaa;
I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men:
2 monyɛ saa ara mma ahemfo ne wɔn a tumi hyɛ wɔn nsa nyinaa na yɛatumi atena ase asomdwoe mu wɔ onyamesom ne suban pa mu.
For kings, and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life in all piety and chastity.
3 Eyi ye, na ɛsɔ Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ Agyenkwa a
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,
4 ɔpɛ sɛ wogye nnipa nyinaa nkwa na wohu nokware no ani.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 Onyankopɔn baako ne ntamgyinafo baako a ɔka Onyankopɔn ne nnipa bɔ mu no, ɔno ne Kristo Yesu no.
For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus:
6 Ɔno na ɔde ne ho bɔɔ afɔre gyee nnipa nyinaa nkwa no. Eyi yɛ adansedi a ɛbaa bere a ɛsɛ mu sɛ Onyankopɔn pɛ sɛ wogye nnipa nyinaa nkwa.
Who gave himself a redemption for all, a testimony in due times.
7 Ɛno nti na wɔsomaa me sɛ ɔsomafo ne amanamanmufo kyerɛkyerɛfo sɛ minni gyidi ne nokware no ho adanse. Merenni atoro, mereka nokware!
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher and an apostle, (I say the truth, I lie not, ) a doctor of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 Mehwehwɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ mmaa nyinaa ma wɔn nsa a ɛho tew so, nea abufuw ne akyinnye nni mu, na wɔbɔ mpae.
I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger and contention.
9 Afei mehwehwɛ sɛ mmea brɛ wɔn ho ase na wɔfa ɔkwan a ɛfata so siesie wɔn ho. Wɔnyɛ wɔn ti sɛ mmea ahobrɛasefo; wɔmmfa sika anaa nwinne anaa ntade a ne bo yɛ den nsiesie wɔn ho.
In like manner women also in decent apparel: adorning themselves with modesty and sobriety, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire,
10 Na mmom ɛsɛ sɛ wɔda adwuma pa a ɛfata mmea sɛ mmea a wɔyɛ nyamesomfo no adi.
But as it becometh women professing godliness, with good works.
11 Ɛsɛ sɛ mmea de kommyɛ ne ahobrɛase sua ade.
Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection.
12 Memma mmea ho kwan sɛ wɔnkyerɛkyerɛ anaasɛ wonnya mmarima so tumi. Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ komm.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence.
13 Efisɛ wɔbɔɔ Adam ansa na wɔrebɔ Hawa.
For Adam was first formed; then Eve.
14 Na ɛnyɛ Adam na wɔdaadaa no. Ɔbea no na wɔdaadaa no ma ɛnam so ma obuu Onyankopɔn mmara so.
And Adam was not seduced; but the woman being seduced, was in the transgression.
15 Na sɛ ɔbea tena ase gyidi, ɔdɔ, kronkronyɛ ne ahobrɛase mu a ɔbɛwo asomdwoe mu.
Yet she shall be saved through childbearing; if she continue in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
