1 Tesalonikafo 5
1 Anuanom, ɛho nhia sɛ mɛkyerɛw akyerɛ mo nna ne bere a saa nsɛm yi besisi.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, there is no need of writing to you;
2 Efisɛ mo ankasa munim yiye sɛ da a Awurade bɛba no bɛyɛ sɛ ɔkorɔmfo a ɔreba anadwo.
for ye yourselves know full well, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 Bere a nnipa bɛka se, “Biribiara yɛ asomdwoe” no, saa bere no na adesɛe bɛba wɔn so. Na wɔrentumi nguan. Ɛbɛyɛ te sɛ yaw a ɛba ɔpemfo a ɔrewo so no.
When they are saying, Peace and safety; then doth sudden destruction come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 Nanso mo anuanom yi de, monte sum mu nti ɛnsɛ sɛ saa da no fu mo mu sɛ ɔkorɔmfo.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief;
5 Mo nyinaa moyɛ hann ne adekyee mma. Yɛnyɛ anadwo ne sum mma.
for ye all are sons of light, and sons of the day; we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Ɛno nti, ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛdeda sɛ afoforo no. Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛwɛn na yɛbrɛ yɛn ho ase.
Let us not sleep, then, as others, but let us watch and be sober.
7 Anadwo na nnipa da. Anadwo na nnipa bow nsa.
For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunken, are drunken in the night;
8 Nanso yɛyɛ adekyee mma nti, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛbrɛ yɛn ho ase. Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛhyɛ gyidi ne ɔdɔ nkatabo ne yɛn nkwagye anidaso sɛ dade kyɛw.
but let us, as we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation;
9 Onyankopɔn anyi yɛn sɛ yemmehu amane wɔ nʼabufuw ano, na mmom oyii yɛn sɛ yebenya nkwagye wɔ Awurade Yesu Kristo mu.
for God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Kristo wu maa yɛn, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a sɛ yɛanyan oo, anaa sɛ yɛawu oo, yɛne no bɛtena ase wɔ nkwa mu.
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should together live with him.
11 Esiane saa nti, monhyɛ mo ho nkuran na mommoaboa mo ho mo ho sɛnea mugu so reyɛ yi.
Wherefore, encourage one another, and edify one another, as indeed ye are doing.
12 Anuanom, yɛsrɛ mo sɛ momfa obu ne nidi mma wɔn a Awurade ayi wɔn sɛ wonni mo anim nkyerɛkyerɛ mo no.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know those who labor among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and admonish you,
13 Esiane adwuma a wɔyɛ no nti, mummu wɔn na monnɔ wɔn yiye. Montena ase asomdwoe mu.
and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Anuanom, yɛhyɛ mo sɛ monkasa nkyerɛ anihawfo, monka wɔn a wɔnyɛ hyew no hyew; mommoa wɔn a wɔyɛ mmerɛw; montɔ mo bo ase mma wɔn nyinaa.
Moreover we exhort you, brethren, admonish the unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be forbearing to all.
15 Monhwɛ sɛ obi mmfa bɔne a obi ayɛ no no ho ka ntua no. Bere biara momma ɛnyɛ mo botae sɛ mobɛyɛ papa ama mo ho mo ho ne obiara.
See that none render evil for evil to any one; but ever follow that which is good, both toward one another and toward all.
16 Momma mo ani nnye da biara
Be always joyful.
17 na bere biara nso, mommɔ mpae;
Pray without ceasing;
18 biribiara mu, monna ase. Eyi na Onyankopɔn hwehwɛ afi mo nkyɛn wɔ Kristo Yesu mu.
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus in regard to you.
19 Monnka Honhom Kronkron no nhyɛ;
Quench not the Spirit;
20 munnsi adiyisɛm atwetwe.
despise not prophesyings,
21 Monsɔ biribiara nhwɛ; momfa nea eye.
but prove all things; hold fast that which is good;
22 Na munkyi bɔne biara.
abstain from every form of evil.
23 Na ɔno asomdwoe Nyankopɔn no ara ntew mo ho koraa, na ɔnhwɛ mo honhom ne mo kra ne mo nipadua so a ɛho remma asɛm biara kosi sɛ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo bɛba.
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit, and soul, and body, be preserved whole, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Ɔnokwafo ne nea ɔfrɛɛ mo no, ɔno nso na ɔbɛyɛ.
Faithful is he who calleth you, who also will do it.
25 Anuanom, mommɔ mpae mma yɛn.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Momfa mfewano kronkron nkyiakyia anuanom nyinaa.
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Mehyɛ mo wɔ Awurade tumi mu se monkenkan saa nhoma yi nkyerɛ anuanom no nyinaa.
I adjure you by the Lord, that this letter be read to all the holy brethren.
28 Yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo adom nka mo.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
