< 1 Petro 5 >
1 Me a meyɛ ɔpanyin no, mitu asafo no mu mpanyimfo fo se, meyɛ Kristo amanehunu no ho dansefo nti nʼanuonyam a wɔbɛda no adi no bɛka me bi. Mitu mo fo se,
So I exhort the Elders among you--I who am their fellow Elder and have been an eye-witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and am also a sharer in the glory which is soon to be revealed.
2 monyɛ nguan a Onyankopɔn de wɔn ahyɛ mo nsa no nguanhwɛfo na monhwɛ wɔn yiye sɛnea Onyankopɔn pɛ sɛ moyɛ no. Monyɛ adwuma a monhwehwɛ ho akatua biara, na mmom pɛ ara na mopɛ sɛ moyɛ. Adom ne asomdwoe mmunkam mo so.
Be shepherds of God's flock which is among you. Exercise the oversight not reluctantly but eagerly, in accordance with the will of God; not for base gain but with cheerful minds;
3 Monnhyɛ wɔn a wɔde wɔn ahyɛ mo nsa no so, na mmom monyɛ nhwɛso pa mma nguan no.
not lording it over your Churches but proving yourselves patterns for the flock to imitate.
4 Na sɛ Oguanhwɛfo panyin no ba a, wɔbɛma mo anuonyam ahenkyɛw a ɛrempa da.
And then, when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the never-withering wreath of glory.
5 Saa ara na ɛsɛ sɛ mo a moyɛ mmabun no, mobrɛ mo ho ase ma mpanyimfo. Mo nyinaa mfa ahobrɛase nkataanim mmɔ mo asen na monsom mo ho mo ho efisɛ Kyerɛwsɛm no ka se, “Onyankopɔn siw ahantanfo kwan na ɔdom ahobrɛasefo.”
In the same way you younger men must submit to your elders; and all of you must gird yourselves with humility towards one another, for God sets Himself against the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
6 Enti mommrɛ mo ho ase nhyɛ Onyankopɔn nsa a tumi wɔ mu no ase, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a ɔbɛma mo so wɔ bere a ɛsɛ mu.
Humble yourselves therefore beneath the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time He may set you on high.
7 Momfa mo dadwen ne mo haw nyinaa nto ne so, efisɛ odwen mo ho.
Throw the whole of your anxiety upon Him, because He Himself cares for you.
8 Mo ani nna hɔ; monwɛn, efisɛ mo tamfo bonsam no nam sɛ gyata a ɔbobɔ mu hwehwɛ nea obenya no amene.
Curb every passion, and be on the alert. Your great accuser, the Devil, is going about like a roaring lion to see whom he can devour.
9 Momfa gyidi nnyina pintinn nsiw no kwan efisɛ munim sɛ mo nuanom agyidifo a wɔwɔ wiase mmaa nyinaa rehu saa amane koro no ara bi.
Withstand him, firm in your faith; knowing that your brethren in other parts of the world are passing through just the same experiences.
10 Na adom nyinaa Nyankopɔn a wafrɛ mo aba ne daa anuonyam mu wɔ Kristo mu no, ɔno ara na sɛ munya hu amane kakra ansa a, obesiesie mo pɛ; ɔbɛma mo ase atim; ɔbɛhyɛ mo den; ɔbɛma moanya nnyinaso. (aiōnios )
And God, the giver of all grace, who has called you to share His eternal glory, through Christ, after you have suffered for a short time, will Himself make you perfect, firm, and strong. (aiōnios )
11 Ɔno na tumi wɔ no daa daa. Amen. (aiōn )
To Him be all power unto the Ages of the Ages! Amen. (aiōn )
12 Me nua ogyidini Silwano na ɔboaa me ma mekyerɛw saa krataa tiaa yi. Mepɛ sɛ mehyɛ mo nkuran na midi adanse se eyi yɛ Onyankopɔn adom kann. Munnyina mu dennen.
I send this short letter by Silas, our faithful brother--for such I regard him--in order to encourage you, and to bear witness that what I have told you is the true grace of God. In it stand fast.
13 Asafo a Onyankopɔn ayi wɔ Babilonia no ne me ba Marko kyia mo.
The Church in Babylon, chosen like yourselves by God, sends greetings, and so does Mark my son.
14 Momfa ɔdɔ atuuyɛ wɔ Kristo mu nkyiakyia mo ho mo ho. Asomdwoe nka mo a mowɔ Kristo mu no nyinaa.
Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with all of you who are in Christ.
