1 Yohane 1
1 Yɛrekyerɛw mo afa Nkwa Asɛm a ɛwɔ hɔ fi mfiase; nea yɛate, nea yɛde yɛn ani ahu, nea yɛhwɛe na yɛde yɛn nsa kae, eyi ne Nkwa Asɛm a yɛreka ho asɛm no.
That which was from the beginning, which we have listened to, which we have seen with our own eyes, and our own hands have handled concerning the Word of Life--
2 Nkwa no daa ne ho adi; yɛahu na yɛadi ho adanse, na yɛka nkwa a enni awiei a na ɛwɔ Agya no nkyɛn na wɔada no adi akyerɛ yɛn no kyerɛ mo. (aiōnios g166)
the Life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness, and we declare unto you the Life of the Ages which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- (aiōnios g166)
3 Yɛkaa nea yehui na yɛtee no kyerɛɛ mo nso, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mo ne yɛn bɛyɛ adedifo wɔ ɔdɔ a yɛne Agya no ne Ɔba Yesu Kristo wɔ no mu.
that which we have seen and listened to we now announce to you also, in order that you also may have fellowship in it with us, and this fellowship with us is fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
4 Yɛrekyerɛw eyi sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a yɛn anigye bewie pɛyɛ.
And we write these things in order that our joy may be made complete.
5 Afei, eyi ne asɛm a yɛate afi ne Ba no nkyɛn a yɛrebɔ mo amanneɛ. Onyankopɔn yɛ hann a sum nni ne mu koraa.
This is the Message which we have heard from the Lord Jesus and now deliver to you--God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness.
6 Na sɛ afei yɛka se yɛne no wɔ ayɔnkofa na saa bere koro no ara mu yɛte sum mu a, na yɛredi atoro wɔ yɛn nsɛm ne yɛn nneyɛe mu.
If, while we are living in darkness, we profess to have fellowship with Him, we speak falsely and are not adhering to the truth.
7 Na sɛ yɛte hann mu sɛnea ɔte hann mu no a, ɛno de na yɛne yɛn ho yɛn ho wɔ ayɔnkofa, na ne Ba Yesu no mogya tew yɛn ho fi bɔne nyinaa ho.
But if we live in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.
8 Sɛ yɛka se yenni bɔne a, na yɛdaadaa yɛn ho, na nokware no nni yɛn mu.
If we claim to be already free from sin, we lead ourselves astray and the truth has no place in our hearts.
9 Sɛ yɛka yɛn bɔne kyerɛ Onyankopɔn a, ɔyɛ ɔnokwafo ne ɔtreneeni sɛ ɔde yɛn bɔne bɛkyɛ yɛn, na watew yɛn ho afi nea ɛnte nyinaa ho.
If we confess our sins, He is so faithful and just that He forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
10 Sɛ yɛka se yɛnyɛɛ bɔne a, yɛma Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔtorofo a nʼAsɛm no nni yɛn mu.
If we deny that we have sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Message has no place in our hearts.
