< 1 Yohane 3 >
1 Monhwɛ ɔdɔ a Agya no dɔ yɛn. Ne dɔ a ɔdɔ yɛn no mu den nti wɔfrɛ yɛn Onyankopɔn mma. Na ɛyɛ nokware nso. Ne saa nti wiase nnim yɛn efisɛ ennim Onyankopɔn.
Consider how great a love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God! The world does not acknowledge us for this reason: it did not acknowledge Him.
2 Me nuanom, mprempren yɛyɛ Onyankopɔn mma, nanso nea daakye yɛbɛyɛ de, yennim. Nanso yenim sɛ Kristo ba a, yɛbɛyɛ sɛ ɔno, efisɛ yebehu no sɛnea ɔte.
Dear ones, right now we are children of God and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is
3 Obiara a ɔwɔ saa anidaso yi wɔ Kristo mu no yɛ ne ho kronkron sɛnea Kristo yɛ kronkron no.
—everyone who has this hope upon him purifies himself, even as He is pure.
4 Obiara a ɔyɛ bɔne no bu Onyankopɔn mmara so, efisɛ bɔne yɛ mmara sobu.
Everyone who commits sin commits lawlessness as well; yes, sin is lawlessness.
5 Munim sɛ Kristo bae se ɔrebɛfa nnipa bɔne, efisɛ ɔno de, bɔne nni ne mu.
And you know that He was revealed in order to remove our sins—in Him there is no sin.
6 Enti obiara a ɔtena Kristo mu no nkɔ so nyɛ bɔne. Na obiara a ɔkɔ so yɛ bɔne no nhuu no, na onnim no.
Whoever is abiding in Him does not sin; indeed, whoever is sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Mommma obi nnaadaa mo, me mma. Obiara a ɔyɛ nea ɛteɛ no yɛ ɔtreneeni sɛnea Kristo yɛ ɔtreneeni no.
Dear children, let no one mislead you; he who keeps doing righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8 Nea ɔkɔ so yɛ bɔne no yɛ ɔbonsam de, efisɛ ɔbonsam fi mfiase pɛe, na ɔyɛɛ bɔne. Saa asɛm yi nti na Onyankopɔn Ba no bae. Ɔbaa sɛ ɔrebɛsɛe ɔbonsam nnwuma.
He who keeps doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was manifested for this purpose: to undo the devil's works.
9 Obiara a ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Ba no nkɔ so nyɛ bɔne, efisɛ Onyankopɔn su wɔ ne mu, na esiane sɛ Onyankopɔn yɛ nʼAgya nti, ontumi nkɔ so nyɛ bɔne.
Whoever has been begotten by God does not commit sin, because His seed remains in him; actually, he is not able to sin, because he has been begotten by God.
10 Nsonoe a ɛda Onyankopɔn mma ne ɔbonsam mma ntam ne sɛ, obi a ɔnyɛ papa anaa ɔnnɔ ne nua no nyɛ Onyankopɔn ba.
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are distinguished: whoever is not doing righteousness is not of God, also whoever is not loving his brother.
11 Nsɛm a motee mfiase no kyerɛ sɛ, monnodɔ mo ho.
Because this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another
12 Ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛyɛ sɛ Kain. Na ɔyɛ ɔbonsam de. Enti okum nʼankasa ne nua. Adɛn nti na Kain kum no? Efisɛ nneɛma a ɔyɛe no yɛ bɔne, nanso ne nua no de, ɔyɛɛ papa.
—not like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own works were evil, while those of his brother were righteous.
13 Enti anuanom, sɛ wiasefo tan mo a, mommma ɛnyɛ mo nwonwa.
My brothers, do not be surprised if the world hates you.
14 Yenim sɛ yɛafi owu mu aba nkwa mu. Yenim saa, efisɛ yɛdɔ yɛn nuanom.
We know that we have transferred out of the death into the life because we love our brothers; he who does not love his brother remains in the death.
15 Obi a ɔtan ne nua no yɛ owudifo na munim nso sɛ owudifo nni nkwa a enni awiei wɔ ne mu. (aiōnios )
Whoever is hating his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within himself. (aiōnios )
16 Eyi na ɛma yehu sɛnea ɔdɔ te. Kristo de ne nkwa maa yɛn. Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛn nso yɛde yɛn nkwa ma yɛn nuanom.
We know the Love by this: He laid down His life in our behalf; we also are obligated to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers.
17 Sɛ obi yɛ ɔdefo na ohu sɛ biribi ho hia ne nua na wanhu no mmɔbɔ a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na watumi aka se ɔdɔ Onyankopɔn wɔ ne koma mu?
Now whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart toward him—how does the love of God abide in him?
18 Me mma, ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛn dɔ no yɛ kasa hunu. Ɛsɛ sɛ ɛyɛ ɔdɔ turodoo a ɛnam nneyɛe so da ne ho adi.
My dear children, let us not love in word or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth
19 Eyi na ɛbɛma yɛahu sɛ yɛwɔ nokware no. Eyi na ɛbɛma yɛn koma anya gyidi wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
—yes, by this we know that we are of the Truth and may put our hearts at ease in His presence,
20 Sɛ yɛn koma bu yɛn fɔ mpo a, yenim sɛ Onyankopɔn so sen yɛn koma, na onim biribiara.
and that, if our heart should condemn us, God is greater than our heart and knows all.
21 Enti anuanom adɔfo, sɛ yɛn koma ammu yɛn fɔ a, yɛwɔ akokoduru wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
Dear ones, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,
22 Biribiara a yebisa no no, yɛn nsa ka, efisɛ yedi ne mmara so na yɛyɛ nʼapɛde nso.
and whatever we may ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
23 Ne mmara no ka se, yennye ne Ba Yesu Kristo no din nni na yɛnnodɔ yɛn ho yɛn ho sɛnea Kristo hyɛɛ yɛn no.
Now this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded.
24 Obiara a odi Onyankopɔn mmara so no te Onyankopɔn mu na Onyankopɔn nso te ne mu. Na eyi na ɛma yehu sɛ Onyankopɔn te yɛn mu. Yenim no saa esiane Honhom a wama yɛn no nti.
He who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. This is how we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit whom He gave us.
