1 Wɔkyerɛw Israel anato biara mu nnipa din guu Israel ne Yuda Ahemfo nhoma mu. Esiane sɛ na Yudafo no nni Awurade nokware no nti, wotwaa wɔn asu kɔɔ Babilonia.
So all Israel was recorded in the genealogies written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. But Judah was exiled to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.
2 Wɔn a wɔsan ba bɛfaa wɔn agyapade wɔ wɔn nkurow dedaw mu no yɛ mpapahwekwa. Wɔne asɔfo, Lewifo ne asɔredan mu aboafo no bi na wɔbae.
Now the first to resettle their own property in their cities were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.
3 Nnipa a wofi Yuda, Benyamin, Efraim ne Manase mmusuakuw mu ba bɛtenaa Yerusalem.
These were some of the descendants of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh who lived in Jerusalem:

5 Wɔn a wɔsan bae a na wofi Silonfo abusua mu no yɛ: Asaia a ɔyɛ abakan no ne ne mmabarima.
From the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.
6 Serah abusua mu no: Yeuel ne nʼabusuafo na wɔsan bae. Yuda abusuakuw no mu mmusua ahansia aduɔkron na wɔsan bae.
From the Zerahites: Jeuel and 690 relatives.

From the Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;
8 Yibneia a ɔyɛ Yeroham babarima, Ela a ɔyɛ Usi babarima, Mikri babarima; Mesulam a ɔyɛ Sefatia babarima, Reuel babarima, Yibnia babarima bae.
Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; Meshullam son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;
9 Saa mmarima yi nyinaa, na wɔyɛ mmusua ntuanofo, na wɔakyerɛw wɔn din wɔ wɔn mmusuakuw anato nhoma mu. Benyamin abusuakuw mu mmusua ahankron ne aduonum asia na wɔsan bae.
and 956 of their relatives according to their genealogy. All these men were heads of their families.
10 Asɔfo a wɔsan bae no bi ne: Yedaia, Yehoriarib, Yakin,
From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

Azariah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the chief official of God’s temple;
12 Asɔfo a wɔsan bae no bi ne Adaia a ɔyɛ Yeroham babarima a na ɔno nso yɛ Pashur babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Malkia babarima ne Masai a ɔyɛ Adiel babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Yahsera babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Mesulam babarima a ɔno nso yɛ Mesilemit babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Imer babarima.
Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; Maasai son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;
13 Asɔfo a wɔsan bae nyinaa dodow yɛ apem ahanson aduosia. Na wɔyɛ mmusua ntuanofo a wɔyɛ nsiyɛfo. Na wɔn adwuma ne sɛ, wɔsom wɔ Onyankopɔn fi.
and 1,760 of their relatives, the heads of their families, able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Lewifo a wɔsan bae no yɛ: Semaia a ɔyɛ Hasub babarima a na ɔyɛ Asrikam babarima a na ɔno nso yɛ Hasabia babarima a na ɔyɛ Merari aseni,
From the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, a descendant of Merari;
15 Bakbakar, Heres, Galal, Mika babarima Matania a ɔyɛ Sikri babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Asaf babarima,
Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
16 Obadia a ɔyɛ Semaia babarima a ɔyɛ Galal babarima na ɔno nso yɛ Yedutun babarima ne Asa a ɔyɛ Elkana babarima Berekia a wɔtenaa Netofa asase so.
Obadiah son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Apon ano hwɛfo a wɔsan bae no yɛ: Salum, Akub, Talmon, Ahiman ne wɔn abusuafo. Salum na na ɔyɛ ɔpon ano hwɛfo panyin.
These were the gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their relatives. Shallum was their chief;
18 Kan no nso, na anka wɔn na wɔhwɛ ɔhene pon a ɛkyerɛ apuei fam no so. Na saa mmarima no som sɛ Lewifo atenae apon ano ahwɛfo.
he was previously stationed at the King’s Gate on the east side. These were the gatekeepers from the camp of the Levites.
19 Na Salum yɛ Kore babarima a ɔyɛ Ebiasaf a ofi Kora abusua mu aseni. Na ɔne nʼabusuafo a wɔyɛ Korafo no na na wɔwɛn ɔkwan a ɛkɔ kronkronbea hɔ no, sɛnea na wɔn mpanyimfo wɛn Ahyiae Ntamadan wɔ Awurade atenae hɔ no.
Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his relatives from the Korahites were assigned to guard the thresholds of the Tent, just as their fathers had been assigned to guard the entrance to the dwelling of the LORD.

In earlier times Phinehas son of Eleazar had been in charge of the gatekeepers, and the LORD was with him.
21 Akyiri no, Meselemia babarima Sakaria na na ɔwɛn ɔkwan a ɛkɔ Ahyiae Ntamadan no mu no ano.
Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
22 Ne nyinaa mu, saa bere no, na apon ano ahwɛfo no dodow yɛ ahannu ne dumien a na wɔakyerɛw wɔn din wɔ wɔn anato nkrataa mu wɔ wɔn nkuraa. Dawid ne Samuel a na ɔyɛ ɔdehufo no ama wɔn dibea a ɛsom bo.
The number of those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds was 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their positions of trust.
23 Saa apon ano ahwɛfo yi ne wɔn asefo no, na wɔkyekyɛ wɔn mu kɔwɛn ɔkwan a ɛkɔ Awurade fi, a kan no na ɛyɛ ntamadan no ano.
So they and their descendants were assigned to guard the gates of the house of the LORD—the house called the Tent.
24 Wɔde apon ano ahwɛfo no gyinagyinaa afanan no nyinaa a ɛyɛ apuei, atɔe, atifi ne anafo.
The gatekeepers were stationed on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.
25 Bere ano bere ano, na wɔn abusuafo a wɔwɔ nkuraa no bɛboa wɔn wɔ wɔn nnanson nnanson dwumadi mu.
Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.
26 Na saa Lewifo apon ano ahwɛfo mpanyimfo baanan no adwuma no yɛ nea ekura asodi kɛse, efisɛ wɔn na na wɔhwɛ adan ne sikakoradan a ɛwɔ Onyankopɔn fi hɔ no so.
But the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the rooms and the treasuries of the house of God.
27 Wɔwɛn Onyankopɔn fi hɔ anadwo, efisɛ na ɛyɛ wɔn asɛde. Afei, na ɛyɛ wɔn adwuma sɛ da biara anɔpa wobuebue apon no.
They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they were responsible for guarding it and opening it every morning.
28 Na apon ano ahwɛfo no bi adwuma ne sɛ, wɔhwɛ nneɛma ahorow a wɔde yɛ ɔsom adwuma no so. Sɛ wɔrekɔfa, na wɔresan de akogu hɔ no nyinaa, wɔhwɛ sɛ bi renyera.
Some of them were in charge of the articles used in worship, to count them whenever they were brought in or taken out.
29 Afoforo nso hwɛ nneɛma a wɔde asiesie hɔ, nneɛma a ɛwɔ kronkronbea hɔ, nneɛma a wɔde brɛ wɔn, sɛ ebia, asikresiam a wɔayam no muhumuhu, nsa, ngo, nnuhuam ne kurobow ahorow so.
Others were put in charge of the furnishings and other articles of the sanctuary, as well as the fine flour, wine, oil, frankincense, and spices.
30 Nanso na asɔfo no na wodi nnuhuam no ne kurobow no ho dwuma.
And some of the sons of the priests mixed the spices.
31 Lewini a wɔfrɛ no Matitia a ɔyɛ Korani Salum abakan no na na ɔto brodo a wɔde bɔ afɔre no.
A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with baking the bread.
32 Na nnipa bi a wofi Kohat abusua mu nso na na wɔhwɛ, siesie brodo a wɔde to pon Homeda no.
Some of their Kohathite brothers were responsible for preparing the rows of the showbread every Sabbath.
33 Nnwom ho nimdefo a na wɔn nso yɛ Lewifo atitiriw no nyinaa, na wɔtete Asɔredan no mu. Na wɔmma wɔnnyɛ dwuma foforo biara, esiane wɔn adwuma a wɔyɛ no mmere nyinaa nti.
Those who were musicians, the heads of Levite families, stayed in the temple chambers and were exempt from other duties because they were on duty day and night.
34 Na saa nnipa yi nyinaa tete Yerusalem. Na wɔyɛ Lewifo mmusua no nyinaa ntuanofo a wɔakyerɛw wɔn din ahyɛ wɔn anato krataa mu.
All these were heads of Levite families, chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.
35 Yeiel (Gibeon agya) tenaa Gibeon. Na ne yere din de Maaka,
Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah.

Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 Gedor, Ahio, Sakaria ne Miklot.
Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Miklot na ɔyɛ Simeam agya. Na saa abusuafo yi tete bemmɛn wɔn ho wɔn ho wɔ Yerusalem.
Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.
39 Ner na ɔwoo Kis. Kis na ɔwoo Saulo, Saulo na ɔwoo Yonatan, Malki-Sua, Abinadab ne Esbaal.
Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
40 Yonatan babarima ne: Merib-Baal (anaa Mefiboset) na Merib-Baal woo Mika.
The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal, who was the father of Micah.
41 Mika mmabarima ne: Piton, Melek, Tarea ne Ahas.
The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42 Ahas woo Yara. Yara woo Alemet, Asmawet ne Simri. Na Simri woo Mosa.
Ahaz was the father of Jarah; Jarah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza.

Moza was the father of Binea. Rephaiah was his son, Elasah his son, and Azel his son.
44 Asel woo mmabarima baasia a wɔne: Asrikam, Bokeru, Ismael, Searia, Obadia ne Hanan. Na eyinom yɛ Asel mma.
And Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
