1 Bere a Dawid guan fii Kis babarima Saulo anim kohintaw wɔ Siklag no, saa mmarima yi kɔdɔm no. Na wɔka dɔmmarima a wɔboa Dawid wɔ akodi mu no ho.
Now these [are] they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
2 Na wɔn nyinaa yɛ agyantowfo antoamfomfo. Na wotumi de wɔn nsa benkum ne nifa nyinaa tow agyan ne ahwimmo. Na wɔn nyinaa yɛ Saulo abusuafo a wofi Benyamin abusuakuw mu.
[They were] armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in [hurling] stones and [shooting] arrows out of a bow, [even] of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
3 Na nea otua wɔn ano yɛ Semaia a ofi Gibea no babarima Ahieser. Na ne nuabarima ne Yoas a ɔyɛ nʼabediakyiri. Eyinom ne dɔmmarima no nkae: Asmawet mmabarima Yesiel ne Pelet; Beraka ne Yehu a wofi Anatot;
The chief [was] Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4 Ismaia a ofi Gibeon, ɔkofo kɛse ne ntuanoni wɔ Aduasa no mu; Yeremia, Yahasiel, Yohanan ne Yosabad a wofi Gedera;
And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
5 Elusai, Yerimot, Bealia, Semaria, ne Sefatia a ofi Harif;
Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6 Elkana, Yesia, Asarel, Yoeser, Yasobeam a wɔyɛ Korafo;
Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
7 Yoela, Sebadia, Yeroham mmabarima a wofi Gedor.
And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Gadfo akofo akokodurufo bi a wɔakwadaw akodi mu guan kɔɔ Dawid afa bere a na ɔwɔ aguaabɔ mu wɔ sare so no. Na wɔyɛ nimdefo wɔ nkatabo ne peaw akodi mu a wɔn ho yɛ hu sɛ gyata, na wɔn ho yɛ hare te sɛ mmepɔw so atwe.
And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, [and] men of war [fit] for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
9 Eser na na otua wɔn ano. Obadia yɛ abediakyiri. Eliab na ɔto so abiɛsa.
Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 Nea ɔto so anan ne Mismana. Nea ɔto so anum ne Yeremia.
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 Atai to so asia, Eliel to so ason.
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Yohanan to so awotwe, Elsabad to so akron.
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Yeremia to so du, Makbanai to so dubaako.
Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
14 Saa dɔmmarima a wofi Gad yi yɛ asahene. Nea ɔnyɛ den koraa no, otumi ne asraafo ɔha ko, na nea ɔyɛ den no tumi ne asraafo apem ko.
These [were] of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least [was] over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
15 Afe no mfiase a Asubɔnten Yordan ayiri no, wotwa kɔpam nnipa a wɔtete tataw so wɔ nʼapuei ne nʼatɔe konkɔn so nyinaa fii hɔ.
These [are] they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all [them] of the valleys, [both] toward the east, and toward the west.
16 Afoforo a wofi Benyamin ne Yuda no baa Dawid nkyɛn wɔ hintabea hɔ.
And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
17 Dawid kohyiaa wɔn kae se, “Sɛ moaba asomdwoe so sɛ morebɛboa me a, yɛyɛ nnamfo. Na sɛ moaba sɛ morebeyi me ama mʼatamfo wɔ bere a menyɛɛ bɔne bi a, yɛn agyanom Nyankopɔn nhwɛ mmu mo atɛn.”
And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray me to mine enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look [thereon], and rebuke [it].

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, [who was] chief of the captains, [and he said], Thine [are we], David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace [be] unto thee, and peace [be] to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19 Manase mmarima no bi tew wɔn ho kɔdɔm Dawid, bere a na ɔne Filistifo no rekɔko atia Saulo no. Nanso asɛm no ani dan a Filistifo ntuanofo ampene so sɛ Dawid ne ne mmarima no bɛka wɔn ho akɔ. Wodwinnwen ho ara no, wɔma wɔsan wɔn akyi kae se, “Sɛ Dawid dan nʼani kɔ Saulo afa de tia yɛn a, yɛn nkwa na yɛde betwa so.”
And there fell [some] of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to [the jeopardy of] our heads.
20 Manase mmarima a wɔtew wɔn ho kɔɔ Dawid afa, bere a na ɔresan akɔ Siklag no ne Adna, Yosabad, Yediael, Mikael, Yosabad, Elihu ne Siletai. Na wɔn mu biara da asraafo apem ano.
As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that [were] of Manasseh.
21 Wɔboaa Dawid ma ɔtaa afowfo no, efisɛ na wɔyɛ akokodurufo ne akofo akɛse a wɔbɛyɛɛ asahene wɔ nʼakofo mu.
And they helped David against the band [of the rovers: ] for they [were] all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22 Adekyee biara, mmarima bebree kɔdɔm Dawid kosii sɛ onyaa asraafodɔm a ɛso te sɛ Onyankopɔn de.
For at [that] time day by day there came to David to help him, until [it was] a great host, like the host of God.
23 Eyinom ne akofo akɛse dodow a wɔdɔm Dawid wɔ Hebron no. Na wɔn nyinaa pɛ sɛ Dawid si Saulo anan mu di hene, sɛnea Awurade ahyɛ ato hɔ no.
And these [are] the numbers of the bands [that were] ready armed to the war, [and] came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
24 Akofo akɛse a wofi Yuda abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem asia ne ahanwɔtwe a wokurakura nkatabo ne mpeaw.
The children of Judah that bare shield and spear [were] six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25 Akofo akɛse a wofi Simeon abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem ason ne ɔha.
Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26 Asraafo a na wofi Lewi abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem anan ne ahansia.
Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27 Na Yehoiada a otua Aaron abusua no ano no wɔ asraafo mpem abiɛsa ne ahanson a wɔhyɛ nʼase.
And Jehoiada [was] the leader of the Aaronites, and with him [were] three thousand and seven hundred;
28 Saa ara nso na na Sadok, ɔbabun ɔkofo kɛse ne nʼabusuafo aduonu abien a wɔn nyinaa yɛ asraafo mpanyimfo ka ho.
And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
29 Akofo akɛse a wofi Benyamin abusuakuw mu a wɔyɛ Saulo abusuafo no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem abiɛsa. Na Benyaminfo no mu fa kɛse no taa Saulo akyi ara.
And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
30 Akofo akɛse a wofi Efraim abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem aduonu ne ahanwɔtwe a wɔn mu biara agye din wɔ nʼabusua mu.
And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
31 Manase abusuakuw fa a na ɛwɔ Yordan atɔe fam no nso, wotuu mmarima mpem dunwɔtwe a wɔn botae ara ne sɛ wɔbɛboaa Dawid ma wadi hene.
And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
32 Ntuanofo a wofi Isakar abusuakuw mu ne wɔn abusuafo dodow yɛ ahannu. Na saa mmarima yi nyinaa te nsɛm a ɛrekɔ so saa bere no ase, na wonim ɔkwan pa a eye ma Israel nso.
And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their commandment.
33 Akofo a wɔakwadaw akodi mu a wofi Sebulon abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem aduonum. Na wɔakɔ amia mu ayɛ krado ama akodi, na na wɔtaa Dawid akyi pintinn.
Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: [they were] not of double heart.
34 Wɔn a wofi Naftali abusuakuw mu no yɛ asraafo mpanyimfo apem ne akofo akɛse mpem aduasa ason a wokurakura nkatabo ne mpeaw.
And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
35 Akofo a wofi Dan abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem aduonu awotwe ne ahansia a wɔasiesie wɔn ho ama ɔko.
And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
36 Akofo akɛse a wɔatetew wɔn yiye a wofi Aser abusuakuw mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ mpem aduanan a wɔn nyinaa ayɛ krado ama ɔko.
And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
37 Ruben, Gad mmusuakuw ne Manase abusuakuw fa a na wɔtete Asubɔnten Yordan apuei fam no maa asraafo mpem ɔha ne aduonu a wɔwɔ akode ahorow nyinaa.
And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Saa asraafo yi nyinaa kɔɔ amia mu na wɔkɔɔ Hebron a wɔn botae ara ne sɛ wɔde Dawid bɛyɛ Israelhene. Nokware, Israel nyinaa adwene kɔɔ bɛnkorɔ mu sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Dawid na ɔyɛ wɔn hene.
All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel [were] of one heart to make David king.
39 Wɔne Dawid didi nomee nnansa, efisɛ na wɔn abusuafo no ayɛ ahoboa rehwɛ wɔn kwan.
And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40 Nnipa bi a wofi akyiri te sɛ Isakar, Sebulon, ne Naftali de nnuan tenaa wɔn mfurum, yoma ne anantwi so bae. Wɔde asikresiam, ɔfam, ɛhyɛ, nsa, ngo, anantwi ne nguan bebree baa afahyɛ no ase. Anigye a enni kabea baa Israel asase so.
Moreover they that were nigh them, [even] unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, [and] meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for [there was] joy in Israel.
