1 Sonra Kuzu'nun yedi mühürden birini açtığını gördüm. O anda dört yaratıktan birinin, gök gürültüsüne benzer bir sesle, “Gel!” dediğini işittim.
I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice that sounded like thunder, “Come!”
2 Bakınca beyaz bir at gördüm. Binicisinin yayı vardı. Kendisine bir taç verildi ve galip gelen biri olarak zafer kazanmaya çıktı.
I looked and there was a white horse. Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown. He came out as a conqueror in order to conquer.
3 Kuzu ikinci mührü açınca, ikinci yaratığın “Gel!” dediğini işittim.
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”
4 O zaman kızıl renkte başka bir at çıktı ortaya. Binicisine dünyadan barışı kaldırma yetkisi verildi. Bunun sonucu olarak insanlar birbirlerini boğazlayacaklar. Atlıya ayrıca büyük bir kılıç verildi.
Then another horse came out—fiery red. To its rider was given permission to take peace away from the earth, so that its people would slaughter one another. This rider was given a huge sword.
5 Kuzu üçüncü mührü açınca, üçüncü yaratığın “Gel!” dediğini işittim. Bakınca siyah bir at gördüm. Binicisinin elinde bir terazi vardı.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I saw a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand.
6 Dört yaratığın ortasında sanki bir sesin şöyle dediğini işittim: “Bir ölçek buğday bir dinara, üç ölçek arpa bir dinara. Ama zeytinyağına, şaraba zarar verme!”
I heard what seemed to be a voice among the four living creatures say, “A choenix of wheat for one denarius, and three choenices of barley for a denarius. But do not harm the oil and the wine.”
7 Kuzu dördüncü mührü açınca, “Gel!” diyen dördüncü yaratığın sesini işittim.
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”
8 Bakınca soluk renkli bir at gördüm. Binicisinin adı Ölüm'dü. Ölüler diyarı onun ardınca geliyordu. Bunlara kılıçla, kıtlıkla, salgın hastalıkla, yeryüzünün yabanıl hayvanlarıyla ölüm saçmak için yeryüzünün dörtte biri üzerinde yetki verildi. (Hadēs g86)
Then I saw a pale horse. The rider on it was named Death, and Hades was following him. They were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine and disease, and with the wild animals of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Kuzu beşinci mührü açınca, sunağın altında, Tanrı'nın sözü ve sürdürdükleri tanıklık nedeniyle öldürülenlerin canlarını gördüm.
When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been killed because of the word of God and the testimony which they held.
10 Yüksek sesle feryat ederek şöyle diyorlardı: “Kutsal ve gerçek olan Efendimiz! Yeryüzünde yaşayanları yargılayıp onlardan kanımızın öcünü almak için daha ne kadar bekleyeceksin?”
They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, Ruler over all, holy and true, until you judge those who live on the earth, and until you avenge our blood?”
11 Onların her birine beyaz birer kaftan verildi. Kendileri gibi öldürülecek olan öbür Tanrı kullarının ve kardeşlerinin sayısı tamamlanıncaya dek kısa bir süre daha beklemeleri istendi.
Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told that they should wait a little longer until the full number of their fellow servants and their brothers and sisters was reached who were to be killed, just as they had been killed.
12 Kuzu altıncı mührü açınca, büyük bir deprem olduğunu gördüm. Güneş keçi kılından yapılmış siyah bir çul gibi karardı. Ay baştan aşağı kan rengine döndü.
When the Lamb opened the sixth seal, I watched and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as black as sackcloth, and the full moon became like blood.
13 İncir ağacı, güçlü bir rüzgarla sarsıldığında nasıl ham incirlerini dökerse, gökteki yıldızlar da öylece yeryüzüne düştü.
The stars in the heavens fell to the earth, just as a fig tree drops its unripe fruit when shaken by a stormy wind.
14 Gökyüzü dürülen bir tomar gibi ortadan kalktı. Her dağ, her ada yerinden sökülüp alındı.
The sky vanished like a scroll that was being rolled up. Every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
15 Dünya kralları, büyükleri, komutanları, zenginleri, güçlüleri, özgürü kölesi herkes mağaralara, dağlardaki kayaların arasına gizlendiler.
Then the kings of the earth and the important people, and the generals, and the rich, and the powerful, and everyone else, slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16 Dağlara, kayalara, “Üzerimize düşün!” dediler, “Tahtta oturanın yüzünden ve Kuzu'nun gazabından saklayın bizi!
They said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us! Hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the Lamb's wrath.
17 Çünkü onların gazabının büyük günü geldi. Buna kim dayanabilir?”
For the great day of their wrath has come. Who is able to stand?”
