1 Müzik şefi için - Telli sazlarla - Asaf'ın mezmuru - İlahi Yahuda'da Tanrı bilinir, İsrail'de adı uludur;

In Judah God is known. His name is great in Israel.

2 Konutu Şalem'dedir, Yaşadığı yer Siyon'da.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

3 Orada kırdı alevli okları, Kalkanı, kılıcı, savaş silahlarını. (Sela)

There he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Selah)

4 Işıl ışıl parıldıyorsun, Avı bol dağlardan daha görkemli.

Thou are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

5 Yağmaya uğradı yiğitler, Uykularına daldılar, En güçlüleri bile elini kıpırdatamaz oldu.

The stouthearted are made a spoil. They have slept their sleep, and none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 Ey Yakup'un Tanrısı, sen kükreyince, Atlarla atlılar son uykularına daldılar.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.

7 Yalnız sensin korkulması gereken, Öfkelenince kim durabilir karşında?

Thou, even thou, are to be feared. And who may stand in thy sight when once thou are angry?

8 Yargını göklerden açıkladın, Yeryüzü korkup sessizliğe büründü,

Thou caused sentence to be heard from heaven. The earth feared and was still

9 Ey Tanrı, sen yargılamaya, Ülkedeki mazlumları kurtarmaya kalkınca. (Sela)

when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. (Selah)

10 İnsanların gazabı bile sana övgüler doğuruyor, Gazabından kurtulanları çevrene topluyorsun.

Surely the inward thought of man shall praise thee, even the residue of inward thought will observe a festival to thee.

11 Adaklar adayın Tanrınız RAB'be, Yerine getirin adaklarınızı, Armağanlar sunun korkulması gereken Tanrı'ya, Bütün çevresindekiler.

Vow, and pay to Jehovah your God. Let all who are round about him bring presents to him who ought to be feared.

12 RAB önderlerin soluğunu keser, Korku salar yeryüzü krallarına.

He will cut off the spirit of rulers. He is fearful to the kings of the earth.
