1 Müzik şefi için - Telli sazlarla Davut'un Maskili Zifliler gelip Saul'a: “Davut aramızda gizleniyor” dedikleri zaman Ey Tanrı, beni adınla kurtar, Gücünle akla beni!

“For the leader of the music. To be sung on stringed instruments A psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?” Save me, O God! by thy name, And by thy strength defend my cause!

2 Ey Tanrı, duamı dinle, Kulak ver ağzımdan çıkan sözlere.

O God! hear my prayer, Give ear to the words of my mouth!

3 Çünkü küstahlar bana saldırıyor, Zorbalar canımı almak istiyor, Tanrı'ya aldırmıyorlar. (Sela)

For enemies have risen up against me, And oppressors seek my life; They have not set God before their eyes. (Pause)

4 İşte Tanrı benim yardımcımdır, Tek desteğim Rab'dir.

Behold! God is my helper; The Lord is the support of my life.

5 Düşmanlarım yaptıkları kötülüğün cezasını bulsun, Sadakatin uyarınca yok et onları.

He will repay evil to my enemies; For thy truth's sake, O God! cut them off!

6 Ya RAB, sana gönülden bir kurban sunacağım, Adına şükredeceğim, çünkü adın iyidir.

With a willing heart will I sacrifice to thee; I will praise thy name, O LORD! for it is good;

7 Beni bütün sıkıntılarımdan kurtardın, Gözlerim düşmanlarımın yok oluşunu gördü.

For thou hast delivered me from all trouble, So that my eye hath looked with joy upon my enemies!
