1 Ey doğru insanlar, RAB'be sevinçle haykırın! Dürüstlere O'nu övmek yaraşır.
[A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
2 Lir çalarak RAB'be şükredin, On telli çenk eşliğinde O'nu ilahilerle övün.
Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
3 O'na yeni bir ezgi söyleyin, Sevinç çığlıklarıyla sazınızı konuşturun.
Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 Çünkü RAB'bin sözü doğrudur, Her işi sadakatle yapar.
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
5 Doğruluğu, adaleti sever, RAB'bin sevgisi yeryüzünü doldurur.
He loves mercy and judgement; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
6 Gökler RAB'bin sözüyle, Gök cisimleri ağzından çıkan solukla yaratıldı.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
7 Deniz sularını bir araya toplar, Engin suları ambarlara depolar.
Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
8 Bütün yeryüzü RAB'den korksun, Dünyada yaşayan herkes O'na saygı duysun.
Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
9 Çünkü O söyleyince, her şey var oldu; O buyurunca, her şey belirdi.
For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
10 RAB ulusların planlarını bozar, Halkların tasarılarını boşa çıkarır.
The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
11 Ama RAB'bin planları sonsuza dek sürer, Yüreğindeki tasarılar kuşaklar boyunca değişmez.
But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12 Ne mutlu Tanrısı RAB olan ulusa, Kendisi için seçtiği halka!
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
13 RAB göklerden bakar, Bütün insanları görür.
The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
14 Oturduğu yerden, Yeryüzünde yaşayan herkesi gözler.
He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
15 Herkesin yüreğini yaratan, Yaptıkları her şeyi tartan O'dur.
who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
16 Ne büyük ordularıyla zafer kazanan kral var, Ne de büyük gücüyle kurtulan yiğit.
A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
17 Zafer için at boş bir umuttur, Büyük gücüne karşın kimseyi kurtaramaz.
A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
18 Ama RAB'bin gözü kendisinden korkanların, Sevgisine umut bağlayanların üzerindedir;
Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
19 Böylece onları ölümden kurtarır, Kıtlıkta yaşamalarını sağlar.
to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Umudumuz RAB'dedir, Yardımcımız, kalkanımız O'dur.
Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
21 O'nda sevinç bulur yüreğimiz, Çünkü O'nun kutsal adına güveniriz.
For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
22 Madem umudumuz sende, Sevgin üzerimizde olsun, ya RAB!
Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
