1 Müzik şefi için - Davut'un mezmuru Ya RAB, kral seviniyor gösterdiğin güce. Sevinçten coşuyor verdiğin zaferle!

For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O LORD, in Thy strength the king rejoiceth; and in Thy salvation how greatly doth he exult!

2 Gönlünün istediğini verdin, Ağzından çıkan dileği geri çevirmedin. (Sela)

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and the request of his lips Thou hast not withholden. (Selah)

3 Onu güzel armağanlarla karşıladın, Başına saf altından taç koydun.

For Thou meetest him with choicest blessings; Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

4 Senden yaşam istedi, verdin ona: Uzun, sonsuz bir ömür.

He asked life of Thee, Thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever.

5 Sağladığın zaferle büyük yüceliğe erişti, Onu görkem ve büyüklükle donattın.

His glory is great through Thy salvation; honour and majesty dost Thou lay upon him.

6 Üzerine sürekli bereket yağdırdın, Varlığınla onu sevince boğdun.

For Thou makest him most blessed for ever; Thou makest him glad with joy in Thy presence.

7 Çünkü kral RAB'be güvenir, Yüceler Yücesi'nin sevgisi sayesinde sarsılmaz.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, yea, in the mercy of the Most High; he shall not be moved.

8 Elin bütün düşmanlarına erişecek, Sağ elin senden nefret edenlere uzanacak.

Thy hand shall be equal to all thine enemies; thy right hand shall overtake those that hate thee.

9 Öfkelendiğin an, ya RAB, Kızgın fırına döndüreceksin onları; Gazapla yutacak, Ateşle tüketeceksin.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 Yok edeceksin çocuklarını yeryüzünden, Soylarını insanlar arasından.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 Düzenler kursalar sana, Aldatmaya çalışsalar, Yine de başarılı olamazlar.

For they intended evil against thee, they imagined a device, wherewith they shall not prevail.

12 Çünkü sırtlarını döndüreceksin, Yayını yüzlerine doğru gerince.

For thou shalt make them turn their back, thou shalt make ready with thy bowstrings against the face of them.

13 Yüceliğini göster, ya RAB, gücünle! Ezgiler söyleyip ilahilerle öveceğiz kudretini.

Be Thou exalted, O LORD, in Thy strength; so will we sing and praise Thy power.
