1 Hac ilahisi Ya RAB, Davut'un hatırı için, Çektiği bütün zorlukları, Sana nasıl ant içtiğini, Yakup'un güçlü Tanrısı'na adak adadığını anımsa:
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!
How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Evime gitmeyeceğim, Yatağıma uzanmayacağım,
“I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,
4 Gözlerime uyku girmeyecek, Göz kapaklarım kapanmayacak,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,
5 RAB'be bir yer, Yakup'un güçlü Tanrısı'na bir konut buluncaya dek.”
Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Antlaşma Sandığı'nın Efrata'da olduğunu duyduk, Onu Yaar kırlarında bulduk.
Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.
7 “RAB'bin konutuna gidelim, Ayağının taburesi önünde tapınalım” dedik.

8 Çık, ya RAB, yaşayacağın yere, Gücünü simgeleyen sandıkla birlikte.
Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!
10 Kulun Davut'un hatırı için, Meshettiğin krala yüz çevirme.
For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!
11 RAB Davut'a kesin ant içti, Andından dönmez: “Senin soyundan birini tahtına oturtacağım.
Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.
12 Eğer oğulların antlaşmama, Vereceğim öğütlere uyarlarsa, Onların oğulları da sonsuza dek Senin tahtına oturacak.”
If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”
13 Çünkü RAB Siyon'u seçti, Onu konut edinmek istedi.
For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.
14 “Sonsuza dek yaşayacağım yer budur” dedi, “Burada oturacağım, çünkü bunu kendim istedim.
“This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.
15 Çok bereketli kılacağım erzağını, Yiyecekle doyuracağım yoksullarını.
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Kurtuluşla donatacağım kâhinlerini; Hep sevinç ezgileri söyleyecek sadık kulları.
I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.
17 Burada Davut soyundan güçlü bir kral çıkaracağım, Meshettiğim kralın soyunu Işık olarak sürdüreceğim.
There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.
18 Düşmanlarını utanca bürüyeceğim, Ama onun başındaki taç parıldayacak.”
His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
