Filimon 1
1 Sevgili emektaşımız Filimon, Mesih İsa uğruna tutuklu olan ben Pavlus ve kardeşimiz Timoteos'tan sana, kızkardeşimiz Afiya'ya, birlikte mücadele verdiğimiz Arhippus'a ve senin evindeki inanlılar topluluğuna selam!
Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,
and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Babamız Tanrı'dan ve Rab İsa Mesih'ten sizlere lütuf ve esenlik olsun.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Rab İsa'ya olan imanını ve bütün kutsallara beslediğin sevgiyi duydukça dualarımda seni anıyor, Tanrım'a sürekli şükrediyorum.
I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,
hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
6 Mesih'te sahip olduğumuz her iyiliğin bilincine vararak imana dayanan paydaşlıkta etkin olman için dua ediyorum.
that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you, unto Christ.
7 Sevgin benim için büyük sevinç ve teselli kaynağı oldu. Çünkü kutsalların yürekleri senin sayende ferahladı, kardeşim.
For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.
8 Bu nedenle, gerekeni sana buyurmaya Mesih'te büyük cesaretim olduğu halde, şimdi Mesih İsa uğruna tutuklu bulunan ben yaşlı Pavlus sana sevgiyle rica etmeyi yeğliyorum.
Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,
yet for love’s sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:
10 Tutukluluğum sırasında kendisine ruhsal baba olduğum oğlum Onisimos'la ilgili bir ricam var. Bir zamanlar sana yararsızdı; ama şimdi hem sana hem de bana yararlıdır.
I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,
who was aforetime unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable to thee and to me:
12 Kendisini, yani can ciğerimi sana geri gönderiyorum.
whom I have sent back to thee in his own person, that is, my very heart:
13 Müjde'nin uğruna tutuklu kaldığım sürece senin yerine bana hizmet etmesi için onu yanımda alıkoymak isterdim; ama senin onayın olmadan bir şey yapmak istemedim. Öyle ki, yapacağın iyilik zorunluluktanmış gibi görünmesin, gönülden olsun.
whom I would fain have kept with me, that in thy behalf he might minister unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will.
For perhaps he was therefore parted [from thee] for a season, that thou shouldest have him for ever; (aiōnios g166)
16 Onu artık köle değil, köleden üstün, sevgili bir kardeş olarak geri alacaksın. O, özellikle benim için çok değerlidir. Ama hem bir insan, hem de Rab'be ait biri olarak senin için daha da çok sevilecek bir kardeştir.
no longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much rather to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 Bu nedenle, eğer beni yoldaşın sayıyorsan, kendisini beni kabul eder gibi kabul et.
If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself.
18 Sana herhangi bir haksızlık etmişse ya da bir borcu varsa, bunu benim hesabıma say.
But if he hath wronged thee at all, or oweth [thee] aught, put that to mine account;
19 Ben Pavlus bunu kendi elimle yazıyorum, bedelini ben öderim. Senin kendi yaşamını bile bana borçlu olduğunu söylememe gerek yok.
I Paul write it with mine own hand, I will repay it: that I say not unto thee how that thou owest to me even thine own self besides.
20 Evet, kardeş, Rab yolunda bana bir yardımın olsun. Mesih'te yüreğimi ferahlat.
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in Christ.
21 Sözümü dinleyeceğinden emin olarak ve istediğimden fazlasını da yapacağını bilerek sana yazıyorum.
Having confidence in thine obedience I write unto thee, knowing that thou wilt do even beyond what I say.
22 Bu arada bana kalabileceğim bir yer hazırla. Çünkü dualarınız aracılığıyla sizlere bağışlanacağımı umuyorum.
But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you.
23 Mesih İsa uğruna kendisiyle birlikte tutuklu bulunduğum Epafras, emektaşlarım Markos, Aristarhus, Dimas ve Luka sana selam ederler.
Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, saluteth thee;
[and so do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workers.
25 Rab İsa Mesih'in lütfu ruhunuzla birlikte olsun.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
