Matta 18
1 Bu sırada öğrencileri İsa'ya yaklaşıp, “Göklerin Egemenliği'nde en büyük kimdir?” diye sordular.
At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Then which one is the greater in the kingdom of the heavens?
2 İsa, yanına küçük bir çocuk çağırdı, onu orta yere dikip şöyle dedi: “Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, yolunuzdan dönüp küçük çocuklar gibi olmazsanız, Göklerin Egemenliği'ne asla giremezsiniz.
And Jesus calling a little child to Him, placed it in the midst of them,
and said, Truly I say unto you, unless you may be converted, and become as little children, you can not enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
4 Kim bu çocuk gibi alçakgönüllü olursa, Göklerin Egemenliği'nde en büyük odur.
Therefore whosoever shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greater in the kingdom of the heavens;
5 Böyle bir çocuğu benim adım uğruna kabul eden, beni kabul etmiş olur.
and whosoever shall receive such little child in my name, receives me.
6 “Ama kim bana iman eden bu küçüklerden birini günaha düşürürse, boynuna kocaman bir değirmen taşı asılıp denizin dibine atılması kendisi için daha iyi olur.
But whosoever may offend one of these little ones, who believe in me, it is good for him that a millstone may be hanged to his neck, and he may be drowned in the depth of the sea.
7 İnsanı günaha düşüren tuzaklardan ötürü vay dünyanın haline! Böyle tuzakların olması kaçınılmazdır. Ama bu tuzaklara aracılık eden kişinin vay haline!
Woe unto the world on account of offensives, for it is necessary that offensives come; but woe unto that man through whom the offense comes!
8 “Eğer elin ya da ayağın günah işlemene neden olursa, onu kesip at. Tek el, tek ayakla yaşama kavuşman, iki elle, iki ayakla sönmez ateşe atılmandan iyidir. (aiōnios g166)
If thy hand or thy foot offends thee, cut them off and cast them from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
9 Eğer gözün günah işlemene neden olursa, onu çıkar at. Tek gözle yaşama kavuşman, iki gözle cehennem ateşine atılmandan iyidir. (Geenna g1067)
And if thine eye offend thee, cast it from thee: it is good for thee having one eye entering into life, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of the fire. (Geenna g1067)
10 “Bu küçüklerden birini bile hor görmekten sakının! Size şunu söyleyeyim, onların göklerdeki melekleri, göklerdeki Babam'ın yüzünü her zaman görürler.”
See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that their angels in heaven do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens.
12 “Siz ne dersiniz? Bir adamın yüz koyunu olsa ve bunlardan biri yolunu şaşırsa, doksan dokuzunu dağlarda bırakıp yolunu şaşıranı aramaya gitmez mi?
What seems to you? if there may be a hundred sheep to one man, and one of them may go astray, does he not, leaving the ninety and nine, going to the mountains, seek that which has gone astray?
13 Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, eğer onu bulursa, yolunu şaşırmamış doksan dokuz koyun için sevindiğinden daha çok onun için sevinir.
And if it maybe that he finds it, truly I say unto you, that he rejoiceth more over it than over the ninety and nine that went not astray.
14 Bunun gibi, göklerdeki Babanız da bu küçüklerden hiçbirinin kaybolmasını istemez.”
So it is not the will of your Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones may perish.
15 “Eğer kardeşin sana karşı günah işlerse, ona git, suçunu kendisine göster. Her şey yalnız ikinizin arasında kalsın. Kardeşin seni dinlerse, onu kazanmış olursun.
But if thy brother may sin, go, and convict him between thee and him alone: if he may hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother:
16 Ama dinlemezse, yanına bir ya da iki kişi daha al ki, söylenen her şey iki ya da üç tanığın sözüyle doğrulansın.
if he may not hear thee, take with thyself one or two, in order that in the mouth of two or three witnesses the word may stand.
17 Onları da dinlemezse, durumu inanlılar topluluğuna bildir. Topluluğu da dinlemezse, onu putperest ya da vergi görevlisi say.
But if he may not hear them, tell the church: and if indeed he may not hear the church, let him be to thee as a heathen and publican.
18 “Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, yeryüzünde bağlayacağınız her şey gökte de bağlanmış olacak. Yeryüzünde çözeceğiniz her şey gökte de çözülmüş olacak.
Truly I say unto you, that whatsoever things you may bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever things you may loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Yine size şunu söyleyeyim, yeryüzünde aranızdan iki kişi, dileyecekleri herhangi bir şey için anlaşırlarsa, göklerdeki Babam dileklerini yerine getirir.
Again I say unto you, that if two of you may agree upon the earth concerning everything which you may ask, it shall be done unto you by my Father, who is in the heavens.
20 Nerede iki ya da üç kişi benim adımla toplanırsa, ben de orada, aralarındayım.”
For where two or three are assembled in my name, there I am in the midst of them.
21 Bunun üzerine Petrus İsa'ya gelip, “Ya Rab” dedi, “Kardeşim bana karşı kaç kez günah işlerse onu bağışlamalıyım? Yedi kez mi?”
Then Peter, coming to Him, said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? until seven times?
22 İsa, “Yedi kez değil” dedi. “Yetmiş kere yedi kez derim sana.
Jesus says to him, I say not unto thee, Until seven time; but Until seventy times seven.
23 Şöyle ki, Göklerin Egemenliği, köleleriyle hesaplaşmak isteyen bir krala benzer.
Therefore the kingdom of the heavens is like unto a kingly man, who wished to make a reckoning with his servants.
24 Kral hesap görmeye başladığında kendisine, borcu on bin talantı bulan bir köle getirildi.
And he beginning to reckon, one was brought to him owing him myriads of talents.
25 Kölenin ödeme gücü olmadığından efendisi onun, karısının, çocuklarının ve bütün malının satılıp borcun ödenmesini buyurdu.
And he not having wherewith to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all things so many as he had, and payment to be made.
26 Köle yere kapanıp efendisine, ‘Ne olur, sabret! Bütün borcumu ödeyeceğim’ dedi.
Then that servant falling down, continued to worship him, saying, Be patient with me, and I will pay you all.
27 Efendisi köleye acıdı, borcunu bağışlayıp onu salıverdi.
The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, sent him away, and forgave him the debt.
28 “Ama köle çıkıp gitti, kendisine yüz dinar borcu olan başka bir köleye rastladı. Onu yakalayıp, ‘Borcunu öde’ diyerek boğazına sarıldı.
And that servant having gone out, found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him one hundred denaria: seized him, throttled him, saying, Pay me what you owe me.
29 Bu köle yüzüstü yere kapandı, ‘Ne olur, sabret! Borcumu ödeyeceğim’ diye yalvardı.
Then his fellow-servant falling down, continued to intreat him, saying, Be patient with me and I will pay thee.
30 Ama ilk köle bunu reddetti. Gitti, borcunu ödeyinceye dek adamı zindana kapattı.
And he was not willing: but having gone away he cast him into prison, until he could pay that which was owing.
31 Öteki köleler, olanları görünce çok üzüldüler. Efendilerine gidip bütün olup bitenleri anlattılar.
Then his fellow-servants seeing those things which had taken place, were grieved exceedingly, and coming related to their lord all the things which transpired.
32 “Bunun üzerine efendisi köleyi yanına çağırdı. ‘Ey kötü köle!’ dedi. ‘Bana yalvardığın için bütün borcunu bağışladım.
Then his lord calling him says to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, since thou didst intreat me:
33 Benim sana acıdığım gibi, senin de köle arkadaşına acıman gerekmez miydi?’
did it not behoove thee also to have mercy on thy fellow-servant, as I had mercy on thee?
34 Bu öfkeyle efendisi, bütün borcunu ödeyinceye dek onu işkencecilere teslim etti.
And his lord being angry delivered him to the tormenters, until he should pay all that was due him.
35 “Eğer her biriniz kardeşini gönülden bağışlamazsa, göksel Babam da size öyle davranacaktır.”
Thus my Heavenly Father will also do unto you, if you do not forgive each one his brother from your hearts.
