1 Her Şeye Egemen RAB diyor ki, “İşte o gün geliyor, fırın gibi yanıyor. Kendini beğenmişlerle kötülük yapanlar samandan farksız olacak; o gün hepsini yakacak. Onlarda ne kök, ne dal bırakılacak.
“The day is coming that will burn like a furnace, and all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble, and the day that is coming will burn them up,” says the Lord of hosts, “leaving neither root nor branch.
2 Ama siz, adıma saygı gösterenler için ışınlarıyla şifa getiren doğruluk güneşi doğacak. Ve çıkıp ahırdan salınmış buzağılar gibi sıçrayacaksınız.
But to you who revere my name there will arise the sun of righteousness with healing in its wings, and you will run free like calves let out from their stall.

5 “RAB'bin büyük ve korkunç günü gelmeden önce size Peygamber İlyas'ı göndereceğim.
I am about to send to you Elijah the prophet, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
6 O babaların yüreklerini çocuklarına, çocukların yüreklerini babalarına döndürecek. Öyle ki, gelip ülkeyi lanetleyerek yok etmeyeyim.”
