Luka 7
1 İsa, kendisini dinleyen halka bütün bu sözleri söyledikten sonra Kefarnahum'a gitti.
And when he had finished all these discourses in the audience of the people, Jesus entered into Capernaum.
2 Orada bir yüzbaşının çok değer verdiği kölesi ölüm döşeğinde hasta yatıyordu.
And the servant of a centurion, who was dear to him, was very sick, and near to death.
3 İsa'yla ilgili haberleri duyan yüzbaşı, gelip kölesini iyileştirmesini rica etmek üzere O'na Yahudiler'in bazı ileri gelenlerini gönderdi.
And he heard of Jesus, and sent the Elders of the Jews to him, and requested of him that he would come and save the life of his servant.
4 Bunlar İsa'nın yanına gelince içten bir yalvarışla O'na şöyle dediler: “Bu adam senin yardımına layıktır.
And when they came to Jesus, they entreated him earnestly, and said: He is worthy that thou shouldst do this for him;
5 Çünkü ulusumuzu seviyor. Havramızı yaptıran da kendisidir.”
for he loveth our nation, and hath also built us a house of assembly.
6 İsa onlarla birlikte yola çıktı. Eve yaklaştığı sırada, yüzbaşı bazı dostlarını yollayıp O'na şu haberi gönderdi: “Ya Rab, zahmet etme; evime girmene layık değilim.
And Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent his friends to him, and said to him: My Lord, trouble not thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldst come under my roof:
7 Bu yüzden yanına gelmeye de kendimi layık görmedim. Sen yeter ki bir söz söyle, uşağım iyileşir.
therefore I deemed myself not worthy to approach thee myself; but speak the word only, and my young man will be healed.
8 Ben de buyruk altında bir görevliyim, benim de buyruğumda askerlerim var. Birine, ‘Git’ derim, gider; ötekine, ‘Gel’ derim, gelir; köleme, ‘Şunu yap’ derim, yapar.”
For I also am a man subjected to authority; and I have soldiers under my command; and I say to this one, Go; and he goeth: and to another, Come; and he cometh: and to my servant, Do this; and he doeth it.
9 Bu sözleri duyan İsa yüzbaşıya hayran kaldı. Ardından gelen kalabalığa dönerek, “Size şunu söyleyeyim” dedi, “İsrail'de bile böyle iman görmedim.”
And when Jesus heard these things, he admired him; and he turned, and said to the throng that followed him: I say to you, I have not found faith like this even in Israel.
10 Gönderilenler eve döndüklerinde köleyi iyileşmiş buldular.
And they that were sent, returned to the house; and they found the servant that had been sick, now well.
11 Bundan kısa bir süre sonra İsa, Nain denilen bir kente gitti. Öğrencileriyle büyük bir kalabalık O'na eşlik ediyordu.
And the following day, he went to a city called Nain; and his disciples were with him, and a great multitude.
12 İsa kentin kapısına tam yaklaştığı sırada, dul annesinin tek oğlu olan bir adamın cenazesi kaldırılıyordu. Kent halkından büyük bir kalabalık da kadınla birlikteydi.
And as he approached the gate of the city, he saw a procession bearing a dead man, the only son of his mother, and she a widow; and a great company of the people of the city were with her.
13 Rab kadını görünce ona acıdı. Kadına, “Ağlama” dedi.
And Jesus looked upon her, and had compassion on her; and he said to her, Weep not.
14 Yaklaşıp cenaze sedyesine dokununca sedyeyi taşıyanlar durdu. İsa, “Delikanlı” dedi, “Sana söylüyorum, kalk!”
And he went, and touched the bier; and they that bore him stood still. And he said: Young man, I say to thee, Arise.
15 Ölü doğrulup oturdu ve konuşmaya başladı. İsa onu annesine geri verdi.
And the dead man sat up, and began to speak: and he delivered him to his mother.
16 Herkesi bir korku almıştı. “Aramızda büyük bir peygamber ortaya çıktı!” ve “Tanrı, halkının yardımına geldi!” diyerek Tanrı'yı yüceltmeye başladılar.
And awe seized all the people; and they glorified God, and said: A great prophet hath arisen among us, and God hath visited his people.
17 İsa'yla ilgili bu haber bütün Yahudiye'ye ve çevre bölgelere yayıldı.
And that saying respecting him went out through all Judaea and all the surrounding region.
18 Yahya'nın öğrencileri bütün bu olup bitenleri kendisine bildirdiler. Öğrencilerinden ikisini yanına çağıran Yahya, “Gelecek Olan sen misin, yoksa başkasını mı bekleyelim?” diye sormaları için onları Rab'be gönderdi.
And the disciples of John told him all these things.
And John called two of his disciples, and sent them to Jesus, and said: Art thou he that cometh, or shall we look for another?
20 Adamlar İsa'nın yanına gelince şöyle dediler: “Bizi sana Vaftizci Yahya gönderdi. ‘Gelecek Olan sen misin, yoksa başkasını mı bekleyelim?’ diye soruyor.”
And they came to Jesus, and said to him: John the Baptizer hath sent us to thee, and saith: Art thou he that cometh, or shall we look for another?
21 Tam o sırada İsa, çeşitli hastalıklara, illetlere ve kötü ruhlara tutulmuş birçok kişiyi iyileştirdi, birçok körün gözünü açtı.
And in that hour he healed many persons of their diseases, and of plagues, and of unclean spirits, and gave sight to many blind persons.
22 Sonra Yahya'nın öğrencilerine şöyle karşılık verdi: “Gidin, görüp işittiklerinizi Yahya'ya bildirin. Körlerin gözleri açılıyor, kötürümler yürüyor, cüzamlılar temiz kılınıyor, sağırlar işitiyor, ölüler diriliyor ve Müjde yoksullara duyuruluyor.
And Jesus replied, and said to them: Go ye, and tell John all that ye have seen and heard; that the blind see, and the lame walk, and the leprous are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead arise, and to the poor good news is proclaimed:
23 Benden ötürü sendeleyip düşmeyene ne mutlu!”
and blessed is he that is not stumbled in me.
24 Yahya'nın gönderdiği haberciler gittikten sonra İsa, halka Yahya'dan söz etmeye başladı. “Çöle ne görmeye gittiniz?” dedi. “Rüzgarda sallanan bir kamış mı?
And when John's disciples were gone, Jesus began to say to the multitude, concerning John: What went ye into the wilderness to see? a reed agitated by the wind?
25 Söyleyin, ne görmeye gittiniz? Pahalı giysiler giymiş bir adam mı? Oysa şahane giysiler giyip bolluk içinde yaşayanlar kral saraylarında bulunur.
Or if not; what went ye out to see? a man clad in soft raiment? Lo, they that use splendid garments and luxuries, are in kings' palaces.
26 Öyleyse ne görmeye gittiniz? Bir peygamber mi? Evet! Size şunu söyleyeyim, gördüğünüz kişi peygamberden de üstündür.
Or if not; what went ye out to see? a prophet? Yea, say I to you; and more than a prophet.
27 ‘İşte, habercimi senin önünden gönderiyorum; O önden gidip senin yolunu hazırlayacak’ diye yazılmış olan sözler onunla ilgilidir.
For this is he, of whom it is written: Behold I send my messenger before thy face, to prepare thy way before thee.
28 Size şunu söyleyeyim, kadından doğanlar arasında Yahya'dan daha üstün olanı yoktur. Bununla birlikte, Tanrı'nın Egemenliği'nde en küçük olan ondan üstündür.”
I say to you, that no prophet, among those born of women, was greater than John the Baptizer: and yet the little one in the kingdom of God, is greater than he.
29 Yahya tarafından vaftiz edilen halk, hatta vergi görevlileri bile bunu duyunca Tanrı'nın adil olduğunu doğruladılar.
And all the people that heard him, justified God, as they had been baptized with John's baptism.
30 Oysa Yahya tarafından vaftiz edilmeye yanaşmayan Ferisiler'le Kutsal Yasa uzmanları, Tanrı'nın kendileriyle ilgili tasarısını reddettiler.
But the Pharisees and Scribes rejected the good pleasure of God, against themselves; as they were not baptized by him.
31 İsa, “Bu kuşağın insanlarını neye benzeteyim? Bunlar neye benziyorlar?” dedi.
To what, therefore, shall I compare this generation? and to what are they like?
32 “Çarşı meydanında oturup birbirlerine, ‘Size kaval çaldık, oynamadınız; Ağıt yaktık, ağlamadınız’ diye seslenen çocuklara benziyorlar.
They are like children, that sit in the market-place, and call to their fellows and say: We have piped to you, and ye did not dance; we have howled to you, and ye did not weep.
33 Vaftizci Yahya geldiği zaman oruç tutup şaraptan kaçındı, ona ‘cinli’ diyorsunuz.
For John the Baptizer came, not eating bread, and not drinking wine; and ye say: He hath a demon.
34 İnsanoğlu geldiği zaman yiyip içti. Bu kez de diyorsunuz ki, ‘Şu obur ve ayyaş adama bakın! Vergi görevlileri ve günahkârlarla dost oldu!’
The Son of man came, eating and drinking; and ye say: Behold, a gluttonous man, and a wine drinker, and one fond of publicans and sinners.
35 Ne var ki bilgelik, onu benimseyen herkes tarafından doğrulanır.”
But wisdom is justified by all her children.
36 Ferisiler'den biri İsa'yı yemeğe çağırdı. O da Ferisi'nin evine gidip sofraya oturdu.
And one of the Pharisees came, and asked him to eat with him. And he entered the house of the Pharisee, and reclined.
37 O sırada, kentte günahkâr olarak tanınan bir kadın, İsa'nın, Ferisi'nin evinde yemek yediğini öğrenince kaymaktaşından bir kap içinde güzel kokulu yağ getirdi. İsa'nın arkasında, ayaklarının dibinde durup ağlayarak, gözyaşlarıyla O'nun ayaklarını ıslatmaya başladı. Saçlarıyla ayaklarını sildi, öptü ve yağı üzerlerine sürdü.
And there was a woman in the city, who was a sinner; and when she learned that he reclined in the Pharisee's house, she took an alabaster box of perfume,
and stood behind him, at his feet, and wept; and she began to bathe his feet with her tears, and to wipe them with the hair of her head; and she kissed his feet, and anointed them with the perfume.
39 İsa'yı evine çağırmış olan Ferisi bunu görünce kendi kendine, “Bu adam peygamber olsaydı, kendisine dokunan bu kadının kim ve ne tür bir kadın olduğunu, günahkâr biri olduğunu anlardı” dedi.
And when the Pharisee that invited him, saw it, he thought within himself, and said: If this man were a prophet, he would know who she is, and what is her reputation; for the woman that toucheth him, is a sinner.
40 Bunun üzerine İsa Ferisi'ye, “Simun” dedi, “Sana bir söyleyeceğim var.” O da, “Buyur, öğretmenim” dedi.
And Jesus answered, and said to him: Simon, I have something to say to thee. He said to him: Say it, Rabbi. Jesus said to him:
41 “Tefeciye borçlu iki kişi vardı. Biri beş yüz, öbürü de elli dinar borçluydu.
There were two debtors to a certain creditor; the one owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty denarii.
42 Borçlarını ödeyecek güçte olmadıklarından, tefeci her ikisinin de borcunu bağışladı. Buna göre, hangisi onu çok sever?”
And as they had not the means of pay, he released them both. Which of them, therefore will love him most?
43 Simun, “Sanırım, kendisine daha çok bağışlanan” diye yanıtladı. İsa ona, “Doğru söyledin” dedi.
Simon replied, and said: I suppose he to whom most was released. Jesus said to him: Thou hast judged correctly.
44 Sonra kadına bakarak Simun'a şunları söyledi: “Bu kadını görüyor musun? Ben senin evine geldim, ayaklarım için bana su vermedin. Bu kadın ise ayaklarımı gözyaşlarıyla ıslatıp saçlarıyla sildi.
And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon: Seest thou this woman? I entered thy house, and thou gavest me no water for my feet; but she hath bathed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.
45 Sen beni öpmedin, ama bu kadın eve girdiğimden beri ayaklarımı öpüp duruyor.
Thou gavest me no kiss; but this woman, since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 Sen başıma zeytinyağı sürmedin, ama bu kadın ayaklarıma güzel kokulu yağ sürdü.
Thou didst not anoint my head with perfume; but she hath anointed my feet with perfumed ointment.
47 Bu nedenle sana şunu söyleyeyim, kendisinin çok olan günahları bağışlanmıştır. Çok sevgi göstermesinin nedeni budur. Oysa kendisine az bağışlanan, az sever.”
I therefore say to thee: Her many sins are forgiven her, for she loveth much. But he, to whom little is forgiven, loveth little.
48 Sonra kadına, “Günahların bağışlandı” dedi.
And he said to the woman: Thy sins are forgiven thee.
49 İsa'yla birlikte sofrada oturanlar kendi aralarında, “Kim bu adam? Günahları bile bağışlıyor!” şeklinde konuşmaya başladılar.
And they that were reclining, began to say in themselves: Who is this, that even forgiveth sins?
50 İsa ise kadına, “İmanın seni kurtardı, esenlikle git” dedi.
And Jesus said to the woman: Thy faith hath given thee life. Go, in peace.
