Luka 5
1 Halk, Ginnesar Gölü'nün kıyısında duran İsa'nın çevresini sarmış, Tanrı'nın sözünü dinliyordu.
On one occasion when he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, the crowd pressed upon him to listen to the word of God.
2 İsa, gölün kıyısında iki tekne gördü. Balıkçılar teknelerinden inmiş ağlarını yıkıyorlardı.
But he saw two fishing-boats on the shore of the lake; the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.
3 İki tekneden Simun'a ait olanına binen İsa, ona kıyıdan biraz açılmasını rica etti. Sonra oturdu, teknenin içinden halka öğretmeye devam etti.
He went on board one of the boats which belonged to Simon, and asked him to push out a little way from land. Then he sat down and continued to teach the crowd from the boat.
4 Konuşmasını bitirince Simun'a, “Derin sulara açılın, balık tutmak için ağlarınızı atın” dedi.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water, and let down your nets for a haul."
5 Simun şu karşılığı verdi: “Efendimiz, bütün gece çabaladık, hiçbir şey tutamadık. Yine de senin sözün üzerine ağları atacağım.”
"Master," answered Simon, "although we toiled all night, we took nothing; but at your bidding I will let down the nets."
6 Bunu yapınca öyle çok balık yakaladılar ki, ağları yırtılmaya başladı.
And when they had done this they enclosed a great multitude of fish; and their nets began to break.
7 Öbür teknedeki ortaklarına işaret ederek gelip yardım etmelerini istediler. Onlar da geldiler ve her iki tekneyi balıkla doldurdular; tekneler neredeyse batıyordu.
So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Simun Petrus bunu görünce, “Ya Rab, benden uzak dur, ben günahlı bir adamım” diyerek İsa'nın dizlerine kapandı.
When Simon Peter saw this he fell down at the knees of Jesus, exclaiming, "Depart from me, O Lord, for I am a sinful man!"
9 Kendisi ve yanındakiler, tutmuş oldukları balıkların çokluğuna şaşıp kalmışlardı.
(For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the haul of fish which they had made;
10 Simun'un ortakları olan Zebedi oğulları Yakup'la Yuhanna'yı da aynı şaşkınlık almıştı. İsa Simun'a, “Korkma” dedi, “Bundan böyle balık yerine insan tutacaksın.”
and so were Simon’s partners, Jamesand John, sons of Zebedee.) But Jesus answered Simon. "Fear not; from this time on, you will be catching men."
11 Sonra onlar tekneleri karaya çektiler ve her şeyi bırakıp İsa'nın ardından gittiler.
So when they had brought their boats to land they left everything and followed him.
12 İsa kentlerden birindeyken, her yanını cüzam kaplamış bir adamla karşılaştı. Adam İsa'yı görünce yüzüstü yere kapanıp yalvardı: “Ya Rab, istersen beni temiz kılabilirsin” dedi.
Another time when he was in one of their cities, there was a man there full of leprosy. And he, upon seeing Jesus, fell on his face and implored him. "Lord," he said, "if only you choose you can make me clean."
13 İsa elini uzatıp adama dokundu, “İsterim, temiz ol!” dedi. Adam anında cüzamdan kurtuldu.
And he stretched out his hand and touching him, said. "I do choose; be made clean."
14 İsa ona, bundan kimseye söz etmemesini buyurdu. “Git, kâhine görün ve cüzamdan temizlendiğini herkese kanıtlamak için Musa'nın buyurduğu sunuları sun” dedi.
And instantly the leprosy left him. Jesus ordered him to tell no one, "But be off," he said, "show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."
15 Ne var ki, İsa'yla ilgili haber daha da çok yayıldı. Kalabalık halk toplulukları İsa'yı dinlemek ve hastalıklarından kurtulmak amacıyla akın akın geliyordu.
But all the more the report about him continued to spread; and great crowds began to come together to hear him, and to be healed of their infirmities.
16 Kendisi ise ıssız yerlere çekilip dua ediyordu.
But Jesus himself habitually withdrew into solitary places, and there used to pray.
17 Bir gün İsa öğretiyordu. Celile'nin ve Yahudiye'nin bütün köylerinden ve Yeruşalim'den gelen Ferisiler'le Kutsal Yasa öğretmenleri O'nun çevresinde oturuyorlardı. İsa, Rab'bin gücü sayesinde hastaları iyileştiriyordu.
One day he was teaching, and near to him were seated Pharisees and teachers of the Law, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was with him to heal.
18 O sırada birkaç kişi, yatak üzerinde taşıdıkları felçli bir adamı evden içeri sokup İsa'nın önüne koymaya çalışıyordu.
And behold there came men carrying a paralytic on a bed; and they tried to bring him and lay him before Jesus, but they could not because of the crowd.
19 Kalabalıktan ötürü onu içeri sokacak yol bulamayınca dama çıktılar, kiremitleri kaldırıp adamı yatakla birlikte orta yere, İsa'nın önüne indirdiler.
So they went up on the roof, and let him down through the tiling, with his bed, into the crowd, before Jesus.
20 İsa onların imanını görünce, “Dostum, günahların bağışlandı” dedi.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you!"
21 Din bilginleriyle Ferisiler, “Tanrı'ya küfreden bu adam kim? Tanrı'dan başka kim günahları bağışlayabilir?” diye düşünmeye başladılar.
And the Scribes and Pharisees began to cavil. "Who is this?" they asked, "speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
22 Akıllarından geçenleri bilen İsa onlara şöyle seslendi: “Aklınızdan neden böyle şeyler geçiriyorsunuz?
Conscious of their cavilings, Jesus answered, saying.
23 Hangisi daha kolay, ‘Günahların bağışlandı’ demek mi, yoksa ‘Kalk, yürü’ demek mi?
"What is this caviling in your hearts? Which is easier to say, "Your sins are forgiven," or to say, "Rise and walk?"
24 Ne var ki, İnsanoğlu'nun yeryüzünde günahları bağışlama yetkisine sahip olduğunu bilesiniz diye...” Sonra felçli adama, “Sana söylüyorum, kalk, yatağını toplayıp evine git!” dedi.
But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins (he said to the paralytic), "I bid you rise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
25 Adam onların gözü önünde hemen ayağa kalktı, üzerinde yattığı yatağı topladı ve Tanrı'yı yücelterek evine gitti.
And instantly he arose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and went away to his house, glorifying God.
26 Herkesi bir şaşkınlık almıştı. Tanrı'yı yüceltiyor, büyük korku içinde, “Bugün şaşılacak işler gördük!” diyorlardı.
Astonishment fell upon them all, and they began to glorify God, and they were filled with awe, and they said, "We have seen strange things today."
27 Bu olaydan sonra İsa dışarı çıktı, vergi toplama yerinde oturan Levi adında bir vergi görevlisini gördü. Adama, “Ardımdan gel” dedi.
After this he went forth and noticed a tax-gatherer, named Levi, sitting at the tax-office, and said to him, "Follow me."
28 O da kalktı, her şeyi bırakıp İsa'nın ardından gitti.
He rose, left everything, and followed him.
29 Sonra Levi, evinde İsa'nın onuruna büyük bir şölen verdi. Vergi görevlileriyle başka kişilerden oluşan büyük bir kalabalık onlarla birlikte yemeğe oturmuştu.
Levi also made him a great reception at his house. There was a large party of tax-gatherers and others who were dining with them.
30 Ferisiler'le onların din bilginleri söylenmeye başladılar. İsa'nın öğrencilerine, “Siz neden vergi görevlileri ve günahkârlarla birlikte yiyip içiyorsunuz?” dediler.
And the Pharisees and their scribes began complaining to his disciples, saying, "Why are you eating and drinking with tax- gatherers and sinners?"
31 İsa onlara şu karşılığı verdi: “Sağlıklı olanların değil, hastaların hekime ihtiyacı var.
Jesus answered them saying. "They who are well have no need of a physician, but they who are ill.
32 Ben doğru kişileri değil, günahkârları tövbeye çağırmaya geldim.”
I am not come to call the righteous but sinners, to repentance."
33 Onlar İsa'ya, “Yahya'nın öğrencileri sık sık oruç tutup dua ediyorlar, Ferisiler'in öğrencileri de öyle. Seninkiler ise yiyip içiyor” dediler.
Again they said unto him. "Why do the disciples of Johnfast frequently, and make supplications, as also do the disciples of the Pharisees, but your disciples are eating and drinking?"
34 İsa şöyle karşılık verdi: “Güvey aralarında olduğu sürece davetlilere oruç tutturabilir misiniz?
"Can you make the bridal party fast," he asked, while the bridegroom is still with them?
35 Ama güveyin aralarından alınacağı günler gelecek, onlar işte o zaman, o günler oruç tutacaklar.”
"But there is coming a day when the Bridegroom will have been taken away from them; then at that time they will fast."
36 İsa onlara şu benzetmeyi de anlattı: “Hiç kimse yeni giysiden bir parça yırtıp eski giysiyi yamamaz. Yoksa hem yeni giysi yırtılır, hem de o giysiden koparılan yama eskisine uymaz.
He also told them a parable. "No one," he said, "tears a piece from a new garment, and patches it upon an old one; otherwise he will tear the new garment, and the patch from the new will not mend the old.
37 Hiç kimse yeni şarabı eski tulumlara doldurmaz. Yoksa yeni şarap tulumları patlatır; hem şarap dökülür, hem de tulumlar mahvolur.
"Nor does any one pour new wine into old wine-skins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins, and will itself be spilled, and the skins be destroyed
38 Yeni şarabı yeni tulumlara doldurmak gerek.
"But new wine must be put into fresh wine-skins
39 Üstelik hiç kimse eski şarabı içtikten sonra yenisini istemez. ‘Eskisi güzel’ der.”
"And no man after drinking old wine, wishes for new; for he says, "The old is better.""
