Luka 24
1 Kadınlar haftanın ilk günü, sabah çok erkenden, hazırlamış oldukları baharatı alıp mezara gittiler.
And on the first day of the week, in the morning, while it was yet dark, they came to the sepulchre, and brought the aromatics they had prepared. And there were other women with them.
2 Taşı mezarın girişinden yuvarlanmış buldular.
And they found the stone rolled from the sepulchre.
3 Ama içeri girince Rab İsa'nın cesedini bulamadılar.
And they entered, and found not the body of Jesus.
4 Onlar bu durum karşısında şaşırıp kalmışken, şimşek gibi parıldayan giysilere bürünmüş iki kişi yanlarında belirdi.
And as they wondered at this, behold, two men stood opposite them; and their raiment was effulgent.
5 Korkuya kapılan kadınlar başlarını yere eğdiler. Adamlar ise onlara, “Diri olanı neden ölüler arasında arıyorsunuz?” dediler.
And they were in fear, and bowed their faces to the ground. And the men said to them: Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 “O burada yok, dirildi. Daha Celile'deyken size söylediğini anımsayın.
He is not here; he is risen. Remember how he conversed with you, when he was in Galilee,
7 İnsanoğlu'nun günahlı insanların eline verilmesi, çarmıha gerilmesi ve üçüncü gün dirilmesi gerektiğini bildirmişti.”
and said, That the Son of man was to be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and to rise on the third day.
8 O zaman kadınlar İsa'nın sözlerini anımsadılar.
And they remembered his words.
9 Mezardan dönüp bütün bunları Onbirler'e ve ötekilerin hepsine bildirdiler.
And they returned from the sepulchre, and related all these things to the eleven, and to the rest.
10 Bunları elçilere anlatanlar, Mecdelli Meryem, Yohanna, Yakup'un annesi Meryem ve bunlarla birlikte bulunan öbür kadınlardı.
Now they were Mary Magdalena, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the others with them, who related these things to the Legates.
11 Ne var ki, bu sözler elçilere saçma geldi ve kadınlara inanmadılar.
And these words appeared in their eyes as dreams: and they believed them not.
12 Yine de, Petrus kalkıp mezara koştu. Eğilip içeri baktığında keten bezlerden başka bir şey görmedi. Olay karşısında şaşkına dönmüş bir halde oradan uzaklaştı.
But Simon arose, and ran to the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linen lying by itself: and he went away wondering in himself at what had occurred.
13 Aynı gün öğrencilerden ikisi, Yeruşalim'den altmış ok atımı uzaklıkta bulunan ve Emmaus denilen bir köye gitmekteydiler.
And lo, two of them, on the same day, were going to a village named Emmaus, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem.
14 Bütün bu olup bitenleri kendi aralarında konuşuyorlardı.
And they talked together of all that had occurred.
15 Bunları konuşup tartışırlarken İsa yanlarına geldi ve onlarla birlikte yürümeye başladı.
And as they conversed, and questioned each other, Jesus came, and drew near, and walked with them.
16 Ama onların gözleri O'nu tanıma gücünden yoksun bırakılmıştı.
And their eyes were held, that they did not recognize him.
17 İsa, “Yolda birbirinizle ne tartışıp duruyorsunuz?” dedi. Üzgün bir halde, oldukları yerde durdular.
And he said to them: What are these discourses, which ye hold with each other, as ye walk and are sad?
18 Bunlardan adı Kleopas olan O'na, “Yeruşalim'de bulunup da bu günlerde orada olup bitenleri bilmeyen tek yabancı sen misin?” diye karşılık verdi.
And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answered and said to him: Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, that thou knowest not the things that have occurred there in these days?
19 İsa onlara, “Hangi olup bitenleri?” dedi. O'na, “Nasıralı İsa'yla ilgili olayları” dediler. “O adam, Tanrı'nın ve bütün halkın önünde gerek söz, gerek eylemde güçlü bir peygamberdi.
He said to them: What things? They say to him: In regard to Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet, and mighty in discourse and in action, before God, and before all the people.
20 Başkâhinlerle yöneticilerimiz O'nu, ölüm cezasına çarptırmak için valiye teslim ederek çarmıha gerdirdiler; oysa biz O'nun, İsrail'i kurtaracak kişi olduğunu ummuştuk. Dahası var, bu olaylar olalı üç gün oldu ve aramızdan bazı kadınlar bizi şaşkına çevirdiler. Bu sabah erkenden mezara gittiklerinde, O'nun cesedini bulamamışlar. Sonra geldiler, bir görümde, İsa'nın yaşamakta olduğunu bildiren melekler gördüklerini söylediler.
And the chief priests and Elders delivered him up to a sentence of death, and crucified him.
But we expected that he was to deliver Israel. And lo, three days have passed, since all these things occurred.
And moreover, certain women of ours astonished us; for they went early to the sepulchre;
and as they did not find the body, they came and said to us: We saw angels there, and they said that he is alive.
24 Bizimle birlikte olanlardan bazıları mezara gitmiş ve durumu, tam kadınların anlatmış olduğu gibi bulmuşlar. Ama O'nu görmemişler.”
And also some of us went to the sepulchre; and they found, as the women reported; but him they saw not.
25 İsa onlara, “Sizi akılsızlar! Peygamberlerin bütün söylediklerine inanmakta ağır davranan kişiler!
Then Jesus said to them: O deficient in understanding, and slow of heart to believe all the things that the prophets uttered.
26 Mesih'in bu acıları çekmesi ve yüceliğine kavuşması gerekli değil miydi?” dedi.
Were not these things to be; that the Messiah should suffer and that he should enter into his glory?
27 Sonra Musa'nın ve bütün peygamberlerin yazılarından başlayarak, Kutsal Yazılar'ın hepsinde kendisiyle ilgili olanları onlara açıkladı.
Then he began from Moses, and from all the prophets, and expounded to them concerning himself from all the scriptures.
28 Gitmekte oldukları köye yaklaştıkları sırada İsa, yoluna devam edecekmiş gibi davrandı. Ama onlar, “Bizimle kal. Neredeyse akşam olacak, gün batmak üzere” diyerek O'nu zorladılar. Böylece İsa onlarla birlikte kalmak üzere içeri girdi.
And they drew near to the village to which they were going; and he made them feel, as if he would go to a more distant place.
And they urged him, and said to him: Tarry with us, for the day inclineth towards dark. And he went in to remain with them.
30 Onlarla sofrada otururken İsa ekmek aldı, şükretti ve ekmeği bölüp onlara verdi.
And it occurred, while he reclined with them, that he took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them.
31 O zaman onların gözleri açıldı ve kendisini tanıdılar. İsa ise gözlerinin önünden kayboldu.
And instantly, their eyes were opened, and, they knew him. And he took himself from them.
32 Onlar birbirine, “Yolda kendisi bizimle konuşurken ve Kutsal Yazılar'ı bize açıklarken yüreklerimiz nasıl da sevinçle çarpıyordu, değil mi?” dediler.
And they said one to another: Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and explained to us the scriptures?
33 Kalkıp hemen Yeruşalim'e döndüler. Onbirler'i ve onlarla birlikte olanları toplanmış buldular.
And they arose, the same hour, and returned: to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven assembled, and those with them,
34 Bunlar, “Rab gerçekten dirildi, Simun'a görünmüş!” diyorlardı.
who were saying: Certainly, our Lord hath risen; and he hath appeared to Simon.
35 Kendileri de yolda olup bitenleri ve ekmeği böldüğü zaman İsa'yı nasıl tanıdıklarını anlattılar.
And they also related what occurred by the way, and how he became known to them, when he broke bread.
36 Bunları anlatırlarken İsa gelip aralarında durdu. Onlara, “Size esenlik olsun!” dedi.
And while they were talking of these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them, and said to them: Peace be with you! It is I; be not afraid.
37 Ürktüler, bir hayalet gördüklerini sanarak korkuya kapıldılar.
And they were in trepidation and fear, for they supposed they saw a spirit.
38 İsa onlara, “Neden telaşlanıyorsunuz? Neden kuşkular doğuyor içinizde?” dedi.
Jesus said to them: Why are ye agitated? And why do imaginations arise in your hearts?
39 “Ellerime, ayaklarıma bakın; işte benim! Dokunun da görün. Hayaletin eti kemiği olmaz, ama görüyorsunuz, benim var.”
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is myself. Handle me, and know; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 Bunu söyledikten sonra onlara ellerini ve ayaklarını gösterdi.
And as he said thus, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Sevinçten hâlâ inanamayan, şaşkınlık içindeki öğrencilerine, “Sizde yiyecek bir şey var mı?” diye sordu.
And while they still believed not, for their joy, and were astonished; he said to them: Have ye here any thing to eat?
42 Kendisine bir parça kızarmış balık verdiler.
And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of honeycomb.
43 İsa onu alıp gözlerinin önünde yedi.
And he took, and ate before them.
44 Sonra onlara şöyle dedi: “Daha sizlerle birlikteyken, ‘Musa'nın Yasası'nda, peygamberlerin yazılarında ve Mezmurlar'da benimle ilgili yazılmış olanların tümünün gerçekleşmesi gerektir’ demiştim.”
And he said to them: These are the things which I said to you while I was with you, That all things written of me, in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the psalms, must be fulfilled.
45 Bundan sonra Kutsal Yazılar'ı anlayabilmeleri için zihinlerini açtı.
Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
46 Onlara dedi ki, “Şöyle yazılmıştır: Mesih acı çekecek ve üçüncü gün ölümden dirilecek; günahların bağışlanması için tövbe çağrısı da Yeruşalim'den başlayarak bütün uluslara O'nun adıyla duyurulacak.
And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it was right for Messiah to suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day;
and that, in his name, repentance for the remission of sins should be preached among all nations, and that the commencement be at Jerusalem.
48 Sizler bu olayların tanıklarısınız.
And ye are the witnesses of these things.
49 Ben de Babam'ın vaat ettiğini size göndereceğim. Ama siz, yücelerden gelecek güçle kuşanıncaya dek kentte kalın.”
And I will send upon you the promise of my Father. But remain ye at Jerusalem until ye shall be clothed with energy from on high.
50 İsa onları kentin dışına, Beytanya'nın yakınlarına kadar götürdü. Ellerini kaldırarak onları kutsadı.
And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifted his hands, and blessed them.
51 Ve onları kutsarken yanlarından ayrıldı, göğe alındı.
And it occurred, while he blessed them, that he was separated from them, and ascended to heaven.
52 Öğrencileri O'na tapındılar ve büyük sevinç içinde Yeruşalim'e döndüler.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
53 Sürekli tapınakta bulunuyor, Tanrı'yı övüyorlardı.
And they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen. Completion of the holy Gospel of Luke the Evangelist.
