Yuhanna 9
1 İsa yolda giderken doğuştan kör bir adam gördü.
Passing by, Jesus saw a man who was blind from birth.
2 Öğrencileri İsa'ya, “Rabbî, kim günah işledi de bu adam kör doğdu? Kendisi mi, yoksa annesi babası mı?” diye sordular.
His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 İsa şu yanıtı verdi: “Ne kendisi, ne de annesi babası günah işledi. Tanrı'nın işleri onun yaşamında görülsün diye kör doğdu.
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that God’s works might be revealed in this man.
4 Beni gönderenin işlerini vakit daha gündüzken yapmalıyız. Gece geliyor, o zaman kimse çalışamaz.
We must work the works of Him who sent me, as long as it’s day. Night is coming, when nobody can work.
5 Dünyada olduğum sürece dünyanın ışığı Ben'im.”
As long as I am in the world, I am the world’s light.”
6 Bu sözleri söyledikten sonra yere tükürdü, tükürükle çamur yaptı ve çamuru adamın gözlerine sürdü.
After Jesus said this, He spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva, put it on the blind man’s eyes,
7 Adama, “Git, Şiloah Havuzu'nda yıkan” dedi. Şiloah, gönderilmiş anlamına gelir. Adam gidip yıkandı, gözleri açılmış olarak döndü.
and told him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.
8 Komşuları ve onu daha önce dilenirken görenler, “Oturup dilenen adam değil mi bu?” dediler.
Then the neighbors and those who used to see him as a beggar began to ask, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”
9 Kimi, “Evet, odur” dedi, kimi de “Hayır, ama ona benziyor” dedi. Kendisi ise, “Ben oyum” dedi.
Some were saying, “Yes, it is he,” others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I’m the one.”
10 “Öyleyse, gözlerin nasıl açıldı?” diye sordular.
So they asked him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 O da şöyle yanıt verdi: “İsa adındaki adam çamur yapıp gözlerime sürdü ve bana, ‘Şiloah'a git, yıkan’ dedi. Ben de gidip yıkandım ve gözlerim açıldı.”
He answered, “The man called Jesus made mud, put it on my eyes, and told me, ‘Go to Siloam, and wash’; so I went and washed, and I received sight.”
12 Ona, “Nerede O?” diye sordular. “Bilmiyorum” dedi.
“Where is this man?” they asked him. “I don’t know,” he said.
13 Eskiden kör olan adamı Ferisiler'in yanına götürdüler.
They brought the man who used to be blind to the Pharisees.
14 İsa'nın çamur yapıp adamın gözlerini açtığı gün Şabat Günü'ydü.
Now it was a sabbath day when Jesus made the mud and opened the man’s eyes.
15 Bu nedenle Ferisiler de adama gözlerinin nasıl açıldığını sordular. O da, “İsa gözlerime çamur sürdü, yıkandım ve şimdi görüyorum” dedi.
So the Pharisees were also asking him how he received his sight. He told them, “He applied mud to my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
16 Bunun üzerine Ferisiler'in bazıları, “Bu adam Tanrı'dan değildir” dediler. “Çünkü Şabat Günü'nü tutmuyor.” Ama başkaları, “Günahkâr bir adam nasıl bu tür belirtiler gerçekleştirebilir?” dediler. Böylece aralarında ayrılık doğdu.
Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man isn’t from God, because He doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a sinner do such signs?” So there was a division among them.
17 Eskiden kör olan adama yine sordular: “Senin gözlerini açtığına göre, O'nun hakkında sen ne diyorsun?” Adam, “O bir peygamberdir” dedi.
So they turned again to the blind man and asked, “What do you say about him? It was your eyes he opened.” He said, “He is a prophet.”
18 Yahudi yetkililer, gözleri açılan adamın annesiyle babasını çağırmadan onun daha önce kör olduğuna ve gözlerinin açıldığına inanmadılar.
The Jews didn’t believe that he had been blind, and had received sight, until they called the parents of the one who had received his sight,
19 Onlara, “Kör doğdu dediğiniz oğlunuz bu mu? Peki, şimdi nasıl görüyor?” diye sordular.
and questioned them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?”
20 Adamın annesiyle babası şu karşılığı verdiler: “Bunun bizim oğlumuz olduğunu ve kör doğduğunu biliyoruz.
His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind,
21 Ama şimdi nasıl gördüğünü, gözlerini kimin açtığını bilmiyoruz, ona sorun. Ergin yaştadır, kendisi için kendisi konuşsun.”
but how he now sees, we don’t know. Who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age. He will speak for himself.”
22 Yahudi yetkililerden korktukları için böyle konuştular. Çünkü yetkililer, İsa'nın Mesih olduğunu açıkça söyleyeni havra dışı etmek için aralarında sözbirliği etmişlerdi.
His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone would confess that Jesus was the Christ, they would be put out of the synagogue.
23 Bundan dolayı adamın annesiyle babası, “Ergin yaştadır, ona sorun” dediler.
For this reason, his parents said, “Ask him. He is of age.”
24 Eskiden kör olan adamı ikinci kez çağırıp, “Tanrı hakkı için doğruyu söyle” dediler, “Biz bu adamın günahkâr olduğunu biliyoruz.”
So they called the man who had been blind a second time, and told him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
25 O da şöyle yanıt verdi: “O'nun günahkâr olup olmadığını bilmiyorum. Bildiğim bir şey var, kördüm, şimdi görüyorum.”
He answered, “Whether He is a sinner or not I don’t know. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
26 O zaman ona, “Sana ne yaptı? Gözlerini nasıl açtı?” dediler.
Then they asked him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?”
27 Onlara, “Size demin söyledim, ama dinlemediniz” dedi. “Niçin yeniden işitmek istiyorsunuz? Yoksa siz de mi O'nun öğrencileri olmak niyetindesiniz?”
He answered, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t want to become His disciples, too, do you?”
28 Adama söverek, “O'nun öğrencisi sensin!” dediler. “Biz Musa'nın öğrencileriyiz.
Then they became abusive towards him and said, “You are that man’s disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples.
29 Tanrı'nın Musa'yla konuştuğunu biliyoruz. Ama bu adamın nereden geldiğini bilmiyoruz.”
We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this man, we don’t know where He is from.”
30 Adam onlara şu karşılığı verdi: “Şaşılacak şey! O'nun nereden geldiğini bilmiyorsunuz, ama gözlerimi O açtı.
The man answered, “How amazing! You don’t know where He comes from, yet He opened my eyes.
31 Tanrı'nın, günahkârları dinlemediğini biliriz. Ama Tanrı, kendisine tapan ve isteğini yerine getiren kişiyi dinler.
We know that God doesn’t hear sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing, and does His will, He hears him.
32 Dünya var olalı, bir kimsenin doğuştan kör olan birinin gözlerini açtığı duyulmamıştır. (aiōn g165)
Since the beginning of time it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. (aiōn g165)
33 Bu adam Tanrı'dan olmasaydı, hiçbir şey yapamazdı.”
If this man weren’t from God, He could do nothing.”
34 Onlar buna karşılık, “Tamamen günah içinde doğdun, sen mi bize ders vereceksin?” diyerek onu dışarı attılar.
To this they replied, “Who are you to teach us? You were born entirely in sin!” Then they threw him out.
35 İsa adamı kovduklarını duydu. Onu bularak, “Sen İnsanoğlu'na iman ediyor musun?” diye sordu.
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, He said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
36 Adam şu yanıtı verdi: “Efendim, O kimdir? Söyle de kendisine iman edeyim.”
He answered, “Who is He, sir, that I may believe in Him?”
37 İsa, “O'nu gördün. Şimdi seninle konuşan O'dur” dedi.
Jesus told him, “You have seen Him, and it is He who is talking with you.”
38 Adam, “Rab, iman ediyorum!” diyerek İsa'ya tapındı.
Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshipped Jesus.
39 İsa, “Görmeyenler görsün, görenler kör olsun diye yargıçlık etmek üzere bu dünyaya geldim” dedi.
Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, so that those who don’t see may see, and those who do see may become blind.”
40 O'nun yanında bulunan bazı Ferisiler bu sözleri işitince, “Yoksa biz de mi körüz?” diye sordular.
Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and asked Him, “We aren’t blind too, are we?”
41 İsa, “Kör olsaydınız günahınız olmazdı” dedi, “Ama şimdi, ‘Görüyoruz’ dediğiniz için günahınız duruyor.”
Jesus told them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin, but since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.
