Yuhanna 17
1 İsa bunları söyledikten sonra, gözlerini gökyüzüne kaldırıp şöyle dedi: “Baba, saat geldi. Oğlun'u yücelt ki, Oğul da seni yüceltsin.
After saying these things, Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify yoʋr Son so that yoʋr Son may also glorify yoʋ,
2 Çünkü sen O'na bütün insanlık üzerinde yetki verdin. Öyle ki, O'na verdiklerinin hepsine sonsuz yaşam versin. (aiōnios g166)
just as yoʋ have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to everyone yoʋ have given him. (aiōnios g166)
This is eternal life, that they may know yoʋ, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom yoʋ have sent. (aiōnios g166)
4 Yapmam için bana verdiğin işi tamamlamakla seni yeryüzünde yücelttim.
I have glorified yoʋ on earth. I have completed the work yoʋ have given me to do.
5 Baba, dünya var olmadan önce ben senin yanındayken sahip olduğum yücelikle şimdi beni yanında yücelt.
And now, Father, glorify me in yoʋr presence with the glory I had with yoʋ before the world existed.
6 “Dünyadan bana verdiğin insanlara senin adını açıkladım. Onlar senindiler, bana verdin ve senin sözüne uydular.
“I have revealed yoʋr name to the people yoʋ have given me out of the world. They were yoʋrs; yoʋ gave them to me, and they have kept yoʋr word.
7 Bana verdiğin her şeyin senden olduğunu şimdi biliyorlar.
They now know that everything yoʋ have given me is from yoʋ.
8 Çünkü bana ilettiğin sözleri onlara ilettim, onlar da kabul ettiler. Senden çıkıp geldiğimi gerçekten anladılar, beni senin gönderdiğine iman ettiler.
For I have given them the words that yoʋ gave me, and they have received them and truly know that I came from yoʋ. They have also come to believe that yoʋ sent me.
9 Onlar için istekte bulunuyorum. Dünya için değil, bana verdiğin kimseler için istekte bulunuyorum. Çünkü onlar senindir.
I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those yoʋ have given me, for they are yoʋrs.
10 Benim olan her şey senindir, seninkiler de benimdir. Ben onlarda yüceltildim.
All who are mine are also yoʋrs, and all who are yoʋrs are also mine, and I have been glorified in them.
11 Ben artık dünyada değilim, ama onlar dünyadalar. Ben sana geliyorum. Kutsal Baba, onları bana verdiğin kendi adınla koru ki, bizim gibi bir olsunlar.
I will no longer remain in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to yoʋ. Holy Father, keep them in yoʋr name, which yoʋ have given me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
12 Kendileriyle birlikte olduğum sürece, bana verdiğin kendi adınla onları esirgeyip korudum. Kutsal Yazı yerine gelsin diye, mahva giden adamdan başka içlerinden hiçbiri mahvolmadı.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them safe by the power of yoʋr name. I have guarded those yoʋ have given me, and not one of them has perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “İşte şimdi sana geliyorum. Sevincimin onlarda tamamlanması için bunları ben dünyadayken söylüyorum.
But now I am coming to yoʋ, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy made full within them.
14 Ben onlara senin sözünü ilettim, dünya ise onlardan nefret etti. Çünkü ben dünyadan olmadığım gibi, onlar da dünyadan değiller.
I have given them yoʋr word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 Onları dünyadan uzaklaştırmanı değil, kötü olandan korumanı istiyorum.
I do not ask yoʋ to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16 Ben dünyadan olmadığım gibi, onlar da dünyadan değiller.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 Onları gerçekle kutsal kıl. Senin sözün gerçektir.
Sanctify them by yoʋr truth; yoʋr word is truth.
18 Sen beni dünyaya gönderdiğin gibi, ben de onları dünyaya gönderdim.
Just as yoʋ have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19 Onlar da gerçekle kutsal kılınsınlar diye kendimi onların uğruna adıyorum.
For their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
20 “Yalnız onlar için değil, onların sözüyle bana iman edenler için de istekte bulunuyorum, hepsi bir olsunlar. Baba, senin bende olduğun ve benim sende olduğum gibi, onlar da bizde olsunlar. Dünya da beni senin gönderdiğine iman etsin.
“I do not ask on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word,
that they may all be one, just as yoʋ, Father, are in me, and I am in yoʋ, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that yoʋ sent me.
22 Bana verdiğin yüceliği onlara verdim. Öyle ki, bizim bir olduğumuz gibi bir olsunlar.
I have given them the glory that yoʋ gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one,
23 Ben onlarda, sen bende olmak üzere tam bir birlik içinde bulunsunlar ki, dünya beni senin gönderdiğini, beni sevdiğin gibi onları da sevdiğini anlasın.
I in them and yoʋ in me, so that they may be perfected into one, and so that the world may know that yoʋ have sent me and have loved them just as yoʋ have loved me.
24 Baba, bana verdiklerinin de bulunduğum yerde benimle birlikte olmalarını ve benim yüceliğimi, bana verdiğin yüceliği görmelerini istiyorum. Çünkü dünyanın kuruluşundan önce sen beni sevdin.
Father, I want those yoʋ have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory, which yoʋ gave me because yoʋ loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 Adil Baba, dünya seni tanımıyor, ama ben seni tanıyorum. Bunlar da beni senin gönderdiğini biliyorlar.
Righteous Father, though the world does not know yoʋ, I know yoʋ, and these men know that yoʋ have sent me.
26 Bana beslediğin sevgi onlarda olsun, ben de onlarda olayım diye senin adını onlara bildirdim ve bildirmeye devam edeceğim.”
I have made yoʋr name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which yoʋ have loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.”
